They don't call him the old fisherman for nothing...The old fisherman is a professional...all the way...catch ...clean...and cook. Thumbs up ! A country boy can survive folks, straight out of natures grocery store ! Loving life. Sorry for your loss sir, I know what you went through...I lost my wife in 2007, she was a champion.

Just started watching your videos. And man! Just earlier this evening I watched one with you and Miss Deborah fishing for bream and shell crackers... And then I saw this one... And yeah, I know it's been a while now, but still... So sorry to hear of your loss! At a loss for words... But even though I didn't know her personally, seeing this video hit me hard. Hope this comment finds you doing well, and keeping on doing what you do.
Enjoying your videos! Just getting back into fishing after a layoff of many years. Used to eat crappie all the time (long ago ex was an excellent cook), but haven't in a very long time, so appreciate you teaching me how to do it myself. Take care.

Now that's how you cook fish. I like it plain and simple. I dont like when they put garlic and all kinds of seasoning on fish as tasty as walley , perch and breamare. You cant taste the fish anymore only garlic and spices. I want to taste that fish . You know if you are a believer somday you'll be with your beautiful wife again and never be separated. God bless you brother praying for you to have peace and strength my friend 🙏🙏🙏

Had to come back and watch again. My dad loves your channel Old Fisherman! He says you prove that we don’t always have to fish the shallows/shorelines. I grew up on lake Murray over on the irmo side near the damn and all my childhood summers I ran the lake in an old bass boat me and my dog!

Hello Old Fisherman: I noticed you are using conolla (seed) oil. This is highly processed omega 6 and rancid from the bottle. For your health use only saturated fats. Lard, bacon grease, tallow, coconut oil. Here is the story on oils:
    ua-cam.com/video/uToFD8bS9HM/v-deo.html
Also animal protein and saturated fat is far superior to plant diets:

Mr. Comalander, do you ever save the crappie heads for catfishing? I have used Bluegill heads with some success, along with body chunks, and of course as live bait especially for Flatheads. I just never have used crappie heads and don`t know how effective they would be. Was wondering if you had any experience with them.
