Crazy! Didn’t know you can customise it that way! Thanks for that!

Comprehensive! thank you. I have used the Logic sampler as my click for 15 years, BUT, back then you had to open Environment and move the click instrument from the "clicks and ports" layer to the "mixer" layer, and then "cable" it to a channel-track that had my sampler on it. WOW, I didn't know things had gotten so much easier on the click! That is great. I just changed my templates!

It would take some work, but you could tune the entire click track to the chord of the corresponding bar, so the click follows your chord sequence and blends in better with the track. One other thing is that you could make a very deep pulsing SUB click (Kick) for recording vocals and if you have headphone bleed you can filter it out later with EQ. (Some singers like to use only one side of the headphone to hear themselves better in the room.)

...pls be aware that the start of the transient of the sound you choose is crucial. For me anyway. A click starting (perceived) 10ms late is a bad thing....thx for your Video Chris!!!

If you record a lot of microphone tracks (singing to microphone) I recommend the original metronome. You can set the tone so it doesn't bleed out much from your headphones. The more spikier and up pitched sound you choose as a metronome sound, the more leakage you will have into your microphone /on your vocal tracks.

I don’t use a metronome for vocals too often. Most of the time once I record vocals the rest of beat is done or instruments recorded.

Here's one for you. Do you know how to arpeggiate audio (not MIDI) in Logic Pro or a plugin that allows arpeggiation of audio (not MIDI LOL).

I’ve been using custom click tracks since the midi days of the 1980s. I work in a situation where they don’t customize the click, and it makes me crazy.

I noticed that you can add fx to the click track. Do you think could eq the click so that you can turn it up in your headphones but it is less likely to bleed?

Hi, I decided to follow along to your channel among all the ones out here on UA-cam to start to really learn Logic Pro.
I am really new to recording and all the things that go into this.
and I have a problem I cannot solve wonder if possible for you can help me out?
I got Logic Pro on my MacBook, and from there, I connected a sound interface called Audient ID 14 MK ll by USB C
from the Audient I got a Fethead that then goes into a Shure SM 7 B...
I have tried to regulate gain and volume both in the Audient and in Logic. Pro by my Shure SM 7 B keeps clipping as soon as I sing higher tones or with a higher volume and then the recorded sound comes back when I go down in octaves or volume of my voice..
Also, when I try to hear myself in my AKG headphones it sounds pretty often distorted, but I do not hear any distortion in the recording later, only while recording.. but the clipping is in the recording...
I tested to have Gain as most channels using Shure SM 7 B suggest at 12 noon. I got the volume a bit over the middle both in Logic Pro and in the Audient...
I tested to take it down a bit but then I need to take up the volume a lot and it sounds strange and not easy to hear myself when I sing or even less so when I talk...
Is there something I just do not understand and do wrong?
what in Logic Pro can I change, or have I maybe by mistake turned on something in Logic Pro that makes it clip? and why it sounds so strange in the AKG headphones during the recording but not when one listens back to the track directly afterwards, except for the clipping that damages the whole recording now..
I had to do an audition for a school in music,
that did not go so well.. to say the least...
I just started with Log Pro and no nothing about recording,
I am totally confused and really need some guidance here on what I am doing wrong...
My goal is to set up a real home studio for singing, voice acting and a podcast over time...
and hope to take your courses and get into the depth of Logic Pro, but first I must solve this issue ofclipping and that the earphones sound distorted while recording.
thanks for a great channel and any time you have, please guide me to what is going on and what I might need to do..
    Kind regards, Christopher
