Standard 993RS could be optioned with the CS rear wing. I bought a '95 RHD in 2000, from AFN Chiswick, with the standard wing in Midnight Blue. A neighbor had a red 993 RS chassis only, the engine was missing and supposedly the interior had been stripped to make it a hillclimb car (never happened). It was sitting in his yard unprotected because he had given up trying to homologate it (local DMV required to have the same engine the car came from factory with, which was impossible to find). I felt stabbint chest pain every time I would see it when passing by, the most beautiful 911 just rotting away. I struggle with these, we build cars, great resources spent and they spend 30 years not being used... Seem incredibly wasteful... That said, dream automobile right there! Never get tired of Posche's and content around them! Look at STG, a couple of years ago he was not too fuzzed about them, now he's own... 4? 5? of them in just a couple of years... I have never even sat in one, best I could hope for is seeing one parked up somewhere... any Porsche... xD

❤❤😂😢😢😮😅😅😊 you were right about Porsche nerds. Yes I’m a Pioner too and I got a lot of posters a lot of diecast in the line of hot wheels of Porsche and I also have three shirts of Porsche and I got one from car driver from Porsche and I think he still races his Porsche. Keep up the good work Chris.
I put the Golden Rod into my 993, It completely changed the shifting feel; took all the slop and wiggle out.
Had a chance to buy one of these at a steal back in the day. Still kicking myself for not buying it. 😢. Especially considering what I bought instead 😅. Which will not be discussed or disclosed 😂. One of my biggest regrets…ever. The pain is exquisite.
QUICK STEER?! a NEW Chris segment? Christmas came very early this year.
Neil clifford is watching, stalking and bidding on this Porsche prey surely...
What a beauty! Good luck 🤞 haha ☝️
993 series 911's are the best Porsche's, IMO. and I've owned a few....
My ultimate 993 & last of the air coolers
993 GT2 is the ultimate though.
We need a similar video about your M5 Touring !!!
One occasionally knocks around my hometown (Oswestry) . Lovely thing. The owner drives it properly too as I've encountered it on the open road
❤😂😂😢😢😮😅😊😊 Chris that Porsche is so damn sweet. I wish I was there in the Porsche with you and you smashed the gas in that wonderful fast Porsche take care and come back to Top Gear. I like it when you were on there take care bro have a good day. Have a good weekend and a good week.
This example is beyond mint, whoever's gonna buy this will be the luckiest bastard and I'm jealous
Is it still there? Does he want to sell it?
Tell me, but no one else please!@@OriginalNotNyanCat
Tragedy, defined.
Looks like a “I’ve just bought a Porsche “ type car for Neil Clifford… great
A piece of history right there. Man
One of your best videos lately ❤
I struggle with these, we build cars, great resources spent and they spend 30 years not being used...
Seem incredibly wasteful...
That said, dream automobile right there! Never get tired of Posche's and content around them!
Look at STG, a couple of years ago he was not too fuzzed about them, now he's own... 4? 5? of them in just a couple of years...
I have never even sat in one, best I could hope for is seeing one parked up somewhere... any Porsche... xD
Buy it, Chris. That is THE Porsche to own!
This car reminds me of the brute performance of the 911 993 used as a Product Placement in Bad Boys, when it was pitted against the AC Cobra. Chris Harris may end up buying this gem, if he could afford it. Epic car.
How hard it must have been to let that go as a single owner!
Not really when it's worth 300k +
I would imagine that sadly someone passed away and whoever inherited this car does not want it as much as they want 300k
@@finq0997 Nope, the owner is alive, well and racing.
2:55 I don't think I've ever seen a E61 M5 in that colorway. Looks stunning, even in the background.
thats chris's
@@FenderUsa Doesn't actually surprise me one bit haha
God, I know this is going to sound geek and a lot weird, but how did it smell inside? I remember my dad’s end of1987 g series carrera sport coupe, it had this stunning smell. Leather. He was really fussy about this one car, it was like best china, it had to be looked after without being a garage queen, cleaned without over cleaning. I’ve been in other 911# and never noticed it, but the g series with leather seats, yup, hets me every time.
When is somebody going to give you a chance behind the wheel of a T.50? You've talked about the car in the past, but would love to see you behind the wheel :)
Current bid is £305k 😳
Sadly it will probably sell for considerably more than the 305
This will be a a million pound car soon. Seriously
993 + Chris = awesomness guaranteed 😎
That spoiler is like the GT2 turbo?
I just need some magic dust to sprinkle on my 1:18 scale yellow version
Beautiful!
A masterpiece. A Pinnacle car and beautiful interior. Perfect as it's. Not need stinger or whatever feature this model!
It's a stunning thing for sure.
Gut feeling.. Chris already bought it
You know if Chris is getting excited about a car, and a 911 at that, it must be special.
I really have loved watching Chris Harris over the years on various channels and formats (even back before he went grey like myself). But I'm slowly starting to feel a little withered watching the Collecting Cars videos now, knowing that each and every single car on the channel is Complete & Utter Unobfukintainium!!!
Come back to the light Chris! Come back to the li.......
My favorite 911, the 993♥️
Great review and what a car! Would be nice to have a few basic power/torque/weight stats for us non-Porsche nerds who can't be bothered to Google them!
I had a polar silver one aswell, mine had the standard spoilers and hardback recliner seats; they’re a proper car in my opinion.
My '98 993 Carrera S leaves my cold dead hands ... Delivery was 11 miles. ..
I have very fond memories of going for a ride in a RHD 993 Carrera RS and a MKII 996 GT3 here in Australia as a young school boy in year 9. There are 12 or so in Australia, or at least there were back then. The 993 had way more atmosphere/excitement than the 996 GT3.
For 993 Carrera owners who want to improve the linkage: check out the Golden Rod from FD Motorsports. It is an RS-style linkage and completely changes the feel of the shift.
