Sarah you are a hoot! I've been making gnomes with bottles for a couple years .Coffee creamer bottles are my favorite. Try using socks , pull one up from the bottom tye it off trim, add the fun stuff then take the second sock pull it down for the hat.Add your armes, take a flat wooden heart glue it to the bottom with the round parts pointing forward for the feet.I use rocks in the container for weight. I did a class at our church with adult ladies ,you should have seen that cruod of gnomes. I love your videos GOD Bless from PA.
The creamer bottles (especially the ones with red tops) make great snowmen! Fill the bottles with whatever white material (cotton balls, pourable snow etc) you have, then stick a pom-pom on the part of the cap that sticks out, glue some buttons on the front and wrap ribbon or fabric around the neck for a scarf!
I'm new to gnomes (my daughter loves them!), and I've save the creamer bottles to use in my pantry. Now I'll be using them to make different gnomes for her hospital/procedure space. She performs ultrasounds and wants the gnomes to 'decorate' and use as a distraction for the patient. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Just found your site and I just love your explanation - so simple - so easy to follow - and so darn cute - best tutorial I have found on making hats - hats are my downfall when making gnomes and now I have found 3 cute hats to make - tyvm
SNIPPIDY DO DAH... 🤣🤣🤣 I love that. These gnomes are so cute. Every time I finish off the creamer, I look at the bottle and tell myself something can be made out of this. Great idea, please keep them coming. Keep on crafting. 😄
Fleece on multicolored grey is my favorite! Second is laying to side ! I I’m just getting into gnome’s I was a precious moment girl until I had 2 break ins!
I agree, you are a hoot!!, I love this video I just told another person that does crafts on her not to talk about personal stuff too much while giving instructions on a craft idea, and you are perfect!!! you get right to the business point of The Craft, you're letting people know what you're doing, you're not talking about a bunch of personal things, I love it!!!!
I like all three!! I have some logs that I am going to use for these gnomes. I know you have a pattern for that, but I don't want to cut the tops at an angle... maybe just one cuz it's already like that.
I may just have to make me one of these gnomes in the near future. I actually have poly pellets and an empty coffeenate creamer bottle sitting in my craft room the empty creamer bottle has been sitting in my craft room for I don't even know how long now and the poly pellets were a newer purchase for me as I want to start making sock gnomes. That gnome is adorable all three ways. I'm not sure if i even have a favorite way for this guy.
You crack me up! I flew recently so maybe this is why I had this thoughts, but you sound like a very happy flight attendant teaching how to make gnomes. How fun!! If only you were on my flight! ❤
Hi. I have been saving creamer bottles and now I know what to do with them. I love your little gnome and also all your hats for him. But if I were to chose I’d pick number 3 as my favorite. Thank you so much for sharing your idea. ❤
Boop, snippy do da, I love it. You make creating SO much fun. Awesome video. Love, love, love gnomes. Thanks for the different style hats. I had no idea there were so many. Tfs. Have a wonderful day.🤗
Sarah, Thank u for showing us how to make these neat hats. U make it seem so easy. But I just need to keep practicing!! Keep tutorials come! I enjoy seeing them, and learning.
I can’t pick a favorite hat but my daughter has about eight of those creamer bottles with every flavor under the rainbow so I will definitely be making her some gnomes
Great video I feel if I can master the scrunched hat I just might be able to make all 3 excited to try you explained everything perfectly tyfs I hope I find more of your video's! !
Thank you so much, Carolyn. I tell you - a move really helps you to determine whether to use something, toss it, or donate it. I didn't want to pack all of these things. :)
Love this little guy! Now I want to make some! My favorite hat is the first one, followed by the third one. I will have to visit Etsy for the fur! Thanks for sharing!❤️
Wonderful and please check out that seller. She's a great resource I've used over the years. That fur is a bit on the expensive side but it's SO gorgeous. If you don't do a wrap-around beard, it will make quite a few gnomes.
Sarah, you come up with the cutest gnomes, you are surpassed by no one. I have been collecting all your gnome patterns. Made the Harley Davidson one for my special needs son (he is a huge Harley fan) and he loved it, I must say he did turn out great with your help of course. Now I need a very beachy girl gnome for my grand daughter, do you have one to share? Keep giving us lessons, I watch for you every day. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for the sweet words and I'm SO glad to hear your son loved his Harley gnome. I don't have a girl for the beach one (only this guy) ua-cam.com/video/TZp5hdizo2c/v-deo.html but... On the body (before assembling) you could provide "dimension up top" by adding in some pompoms for a triangle top. I'd probably make shorter shorts (similar to the board shorts I shared) for her to hide the leg joins but a bikini bottom might work, too. :)
Thank you. I was just browsing through YT today and found this. I have been looking for a no sew hat pattern for so long. Your a life saver. 1 question, are you using regular glue sticks or fabric glue sticks? By the color it looks like regular glue.
Love your gnomes and have bought a few of your patterns. Watching this video which is awesome. How big (measurement) is the hat for the first one.). Thank you
Thank you, Roxanne! If I recall correctly, the first hat was 12 inches tall and the width was just whatever the bottle was + a nose + a half inch for the seam allowance.
We sign on the house tomorrow (they requested a bit more time to move out), so SOOOOOON. LOL I measured for the craft room stuff today, though, and I'm so excited.
The faux fur I used for this one is here*: rufflesandrainboots.com/go/arctic-mongolian-fur/
They are aĺ cute! Where could you buy the wòden balls?
@@patriciathompson3331 Thank you - I buy the wooden balls on Amazon from a store called, "Woodpeckers." They're also on Etsy.

Ooh, love the tips, Trina, thank you!
😊p
Can you show pictures

Oh wow, thank you! I will give that a try.
Been doing that for years. I like to fill them with candy.
why fill the bottle when it will be covered ?
I love the fleece hats that you can scrunch ❤❤❤❤
Right? They look so cozy. :)

Oh my goodness , they are all adorable, I can't decide which I love more, it's like someone asking which is your favorite child,LOL !,😂🤣

I love the last one that you can scrunch down!!❤
SNIPPIDY DO DAH... 🤣🤣🤣 I love that. These gnomes are so cute. Every time I finish off the creamer, I look at the bottle and tell myself something can be made out of this. Great idea, please keep them coming. Keep on crafting. 😄

Just found your channel and I am loving all of the adorable gnomes. You are so much fun to watch.
Thank you so much for the kind words. :) Glad to have you here and if you need help finding anything, just let me know.
My favorite is the slouchy one. I love this little guy and will be making him as soon as creamer is gone.
I like all three!! I have some logs that I am going to use for these gnomes. I know you have a pattern for that, but I don't want to cut the tops at an angle... maybe just one cuz it's already like that.
These are so fun to make. I spent a weekend with my grandkids and we made them for Christmas one year.
My favorite hat is number 3. I love that slouchy look. Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing! 🦋
Mine too! Thank you so much for watching, Sharon,.

It's the Surebonder detail tip - it's technically a small gun (not like my mini ones) and I love it. I got it on Amazon. :)
Love them all
love love love this tutorial, thanks for sharing
All hats are cute
I have a suggestion, if you did want to hear it fill it to the top with pelits.
