- I love making Gnome shoes. As soon as I finish one pair, I can't wait to start another pair. This tutorial will teach you basic techniques that can be adjusted to fit whatever style of Gnome shoes you would like to make. It is customizable and so easy. No Sew 💚 Gnome shoes are the only way to go! You make so many pretty things! I have to check your channel whenever I log online! Got an idea to pass along to you, I take a wooden bead with a 1/4" hole and glue that into the gnome's shoe, then glue a 1/4" dowel at the length i need, into my gnome's leg, then glue the other end into your bead in the shoe...your gnome will stand up!

I have made 1 that looks like zz top. They are a singing group with really long beards and one has a very tall stove pipe hat. My brothers favorite group so for his birthday I made the group. I have also made a gnome with biker jacket and I made sunglasses with my hot glue gun. They are awesome!! I love gnomes big or small but I have never made shoes!! You are Awesome!!!! Love all the shoes and the boots are ADORABLE. My favorite that I have done is a St. Patrick's day gnome. I'm working on a witch gnome. I just need to figure out how to do a witch's boot. Then it will be complete. Thank you for showing how to make these.

I absolutely love your work. And agree with so many others that you made it easy to understand even though they look complicated. Sitting on my bed practicing these shoes.😉 but wat did you use for the pattern for the soul of the shoes? Or did you just quickly sketch one out
I sketched one out, but I’m excited to report that I’m going to do a follow up tutorial next week with new free printable patterns for Gnome shoes and what I believe is even an easier technique. I’m going to test it out on my husband during a live stream next Thursday. Sometimes I make so many of one thing that I lose track of what I should be explaining so hopefully during a live folks can ask questions as I go, or my husband can ask clarifying questions since it will be his first time making the shoes. 👟

I filled the plastic eggs with cement the front part of the shoe so you didn't have to use so much glue. It worked really good.

Are the shoes strong enough to support a gnome without straws for legs?
Yes. As long as you have the gnome centered over the top. I do have some tutorials showing how to accomplish it. Once you learn the technique, you can do all kinds of gnomes! 😀

So happy I found your channel! What is the matt and make-up brush called again? And did you get them at the Dollar Tree also?
The Matt is actually a silicone hot pad from the Dollar Tree. You find them near the kitchen section. The silicone makeup brush I use is also from the Dollar Tree. Neat ideas! Just curious why you didn’t put the strings through the beads?
The beads are smaller than the string I was using and it would be harder to glue them into place. This was faster and once they were glued on you couldn’t tell the difference. Thank you for your question.
I love your video on how to make the shoes and the boots. But I don’t understand how are you get your straw to sit in the bottom of the cup since you don’t use the other piece that comes with them. Was wondering if you could show me how to add that part.

When putting in the balloon attachments do you put in round piece then the attachment?can you show a close up of the piece you put in first then attachment?
Yes, you glue the round straw solidly into place before adding the attachment. I will do a short video next Monday showing a very close up tutorial showing just this part. Thank you so much for your question.

Depending on the size of shoes I want. In this case, yes those are the sizes. I have used larger and smaller ones.
I made my first pair of shoes and ... they were a disappointment. The shoe itself looks okay, but the trim is an absolute mess. I wish I could show you a picture so you could tell me where I went wrong.

How do you attach the shoe to the gnome
Hi Sam! If you watch any of my standing gnome tutorials it will walk you through it. Basically, I'm using balloon sticks to create the legs and and there is is an attachment with them that goes into the shoes. 😃

I can’t find the silicone makeup applicator and the pad
Sometimes they get sold out at Dollar Tree. I have found that they are not a one and done item like some things sold at The Dollar Tree. Eventually they will become available soon hopefully.
How do you do the boots
The boots are the same as the felt except I used black duct tape instead of felt. I’ll work on a Cowboy boot tutorial in January. I’m in Christmas mode right now. Thank you for your comments!
