Meet Andrea McCrady, Canada’s dominion carillonneur

Andrea McCrady speaks with "the voice of the nation," as former prime minister William Lyon Mackenzie King once described the Peace Tower carillon. Every day, the lawns of Parliament Hill echo with the sound of the bells, played by McCrady. Here, she discusses her unusual career and how she'll keep the music alive during the extensive renovation of Parliament's Centre Block.

We love Andrea! This is a wonderful tribute to her. She has become close friends over the years with many of us in the choir and she loves our director, Pierre's compositions. Pierre has been honoured many times with Andrea's performances of his original carols and arrangements.
