If I collected a certain title like Alice in Wonderland, I would get a bookshelf to showcase them on. Something weird and wacky like the second one you showed us (the green one). It would relate to the story and I could also display other stuff (mugs, Funko dolls, etc.). That would make sense, for sure. But some of the pricetags, though. Holy moly! ACK ACK ACK!
I, too, am Basic Ikea, but I'm LOVING the second one (wavy green). It gives me Alice in Wonderland vibes and that's the kind of nonsensical chaos I would invite into my book space

The dragon might not have as much shelf space as the unicorn shelf, but the dragon is Toothless, so... I have to love it more.

I think the purpose of statement piece "impractical" bookshelves are for people who probably don't own so many books that they're always trying to use up space for books, but rather for those people that have a few dozen books that could all fit on one piece of furniture
I’d love to see you do a bookshelf roast video for your subscribers book shelf’s. If you watch Daniel Greene’s channel he does this where he posts on Twitter for people to send him pictures of their bookshelf’s and he does a video roasting them (some are amazing, some shelves are awful). I think it would be fun to see your reaction to viewers/friends bookshelves

Great video-loved iittt; had many very similar thoughts to what you did myself!!! 🤣 If I had to choose any shelf in this video though, I would take the dragon. Because...DRAGOONNN!! 😏🤭🤣🤣💜 But I would probably still need other shelves for actually books. Lmfao
If I **have** to choose shelves from this video actually for books, though ..I'd probably go for those ones that kind of spiraled slightly, that you said wasn't too far in the "not like other shelves" zone. 🤭🤣🤣😊
The only things I care about with bookshelves are; size, ease of access, ease of putting together/taking apart/moving and the amount of books I can fit on them. These 'bookshelves' that are designed to have like 5-10 paperbacks, 2-3 hardbacks and 1 or 2 coffee table books on them and then the rest of the space is taken up by plants, photos, little statues etc, shouldn't even be considered as bookshelves and definitely shouldn't be owned by anyone who actually wants to keep and store books.
I feel like I've said this a bunch of times now but JESSE PLS READ THE INKHEART TRILOGY (by Cornelia Funke) THEY'RE MY FAV BOOKS EVER

I just got my new bookshelves, and I am looking forward to making them very unique.
I want to know what type of drums people were on when designing some of these book cases.
I believe that we should always acknowledge the basic of bookshelves, they're just as important as your crazy out of this world bookshelves. Heck, without the most basic of bookshelves, then we won't any of the crazy and wacky ones we see today.
now I'm wondering if you would love or hate the shelves we built in our upstairs hallway they're all slanted till you get the most books space and each shelf is measured to specific different books sizes mass market to cookbook

I wonder if all the slanted shelves are because shelf makers realized instead of throwing away the odd sized shelf pieces that were normally scrap they could intergrate them into slanted shelves.
