As someone who was forced to dance to "What Does the Fox Say" as a fourth grader with her whole class in front of the entire school, I can officially say that that song actually happened. I wish it didn't, but it did.
My fourth grade class had to dance to a song from Helene Fischer, a German singer whose best times were over even before I was in fourth grade. Like other german celebrities, she can't accept that she isn't relevant anymore. At least with the youth. At least we had one of her more decent songs to dance to.
Our teacher in primary school had us practice line dancing to cotton eyed joe instead of teaching us maths. He also made us line up to use disinfectant on our hands every day before class (dancing…). Guess he liked lines? This was more than ten years PC (pre-COVID).
I'll answer to that challenge: a book with leaves on the cover is "The name of the wind" by Patrick Rothfuss (and also de sequel to that book, "A wise man's fear").
Ok so, 1) I’d shapeshift into a mermaid (thanks to the ingo chronicles by Helen dunmore, I want to live in Ingo) 2) the puffin clothbound edition of The Secret Garden by Frances hodgson Burnett 3) LOVING your energy in this video
I was literally thinking "I totally want to be a dragon" AND THEN YOU SAID IT TOO!!! The People of Sparks has leaves on it, which is the sequel to The City of Ember- I don't see that book on your shelf but I always wonder if you've read it
I just realised that one of the main reasons I like watching your videos so much (aside from the aesthetic and overall rhythm) is how you determine me to discover books that aren’t “crazy popular”. And obviously, I ADORE the outro!
For the shapeshift one, I'd shapeshift to a phoenix cuz they're all fiery and cool and for the book with leaves on the cover the only one i could find that has leaves is Rule of Wolves. Love this video and its entertaining as alwaysss!!
I have a series of books with Miss-match covers. Not the covers themselves, but the height of the books. 3 first are the same size, 4th is the tallest and 5th is somewhere in the middle. Does it burn my soul? YES. Yes it does. Every day.
The imortalists by Chloe K Benjamin has an entire tree with leaves on the cover.. I personally really liked that book,Chloe's books being my first books in english (i am not a native ,I'm from SE of Europe so that's why) and also the reason i started reading again after 5 or so years of only reading books for school
A few books on my shelf with leafs are Wishtree by Katherine applegate, a danger to herself and others, by Alyssa Sheinmel, and seasons of chaos by Elle Cosmimano
To answer the challenge at the end, a book with leaves on the cover that I actually own. It's called The Illustrated Bestiary: Guidance and Rituals from 36 Inspiring Animals The artwork on the cover and pages is very nice and the main reason I have a copy. It's not a novel but it's all I could find.
Well, SA is down here in the southern hemisphere, but the leaf challenge still counts because of spring🌿 My older copy of The Magician's Nephew is the only book I can find with leaves on the cover!
I had to go through my books for this but : The hazel wood (& tales from hinterland & the night country) The modern faerie tales Deathless girls All the tides of fate The forest of stars
I can't wait for the sequel of this sequel to be called, "Do I Have This Other Book? Challenge!" and you see this never ending stream of long titles. Fun Times that will be!
On the eldest curses books they changed the cover and the spine but the second one had a reversible cover and the other side was the same. This is what we want publishers. This is all we want
Am I the only one that gets: "long book fatigue"? I mean, you would think that after 571 pages I would be done with the book but, no, there is still 200 pages left. Not that I am not enjoying the story, I love it, just I have other books I really want to read. Also for the leaves on the cover I have: The Box car children #12
I love the way you introduce Book of the Month, every time it's different!👀 Every time I watch the part, I get more and more interested, but, but, but...I live in Japan! (+_+)
Books that have leaves on the cover: 1) The Winds of Autumn 2) Elsie's Endless Wait 3) African Holocaust 4) The Hidden Flame 5) Lady of Ch'iao Kuo (The Royal Diaries) 6) The Encyclopedia of Unsolved Mysteries 7) Beautiful Girlhood And those aren't all the ones I have that have leaves on them! 😂😁🤩
