Never explained why Ser Criston gets away with killing a noble wedding guest AND punching the royal groom in the face. People who read the books say Criston killed Joffrey in a joust, so that it could be excused as an accident, but the show just gives him a pass for the implicit reason that Alicent likes him.
Viscerys knows he put his daughter in an unwinnable situation; he told her she must strengthen their line by having heirs (and also tied that duty to the prophesy) and then he married her to a man who can’t give her children. If she had a choice of blonde men, she could have had blonde babies and nobody would question their paternity, but she did provide Targeryan babies as her father said she must. If the king were to acknowledge that his grandchildren are bastards, he would be accusing his daughter of treason.

Daemon is the definition of a true complex compelling character and hes my favorite in this show. He loves his family. In the first episode when he says to Viscerys that he never ASKED him to be his hand and not MADE to be his hand in 10 years is very telling about his motives. He loves his brother and just wanted his acceptance. Matt Smith killed it playing as Daemon. Perfect cast for that role.

As messed up as Daemon can be, you DO have to give him some credit. When Viserys was in the situation, his question was "you can save the child?". Daemon placed in the exact same situation asks "Will the *mother* survive it?" Viserys chose to sacrifice his wife for the chance of a son (without even asking or telling her what was going to happen). It's very subtle, but Daemon shook his head no- he wasn't going to have Laena cut open...she just chose to be burned rather than probably bleeding to death. They ALSO cut a scene of Daemon hugging his daughters to comfort them after Laena's death out because one of the writers was annoyed Daemon was so popular. >_>;
Ser Harwin (Baby Daddy), was the one at the wedding last episode that his wierd brother (guy with the cane) was next to him & asked Harwin (what color in Oldtown when they go to war" Harwin is the one who answered "green" &&& he is the one who carried Rhaenera over his shoulder out of the wedding when Criston was killing Joffrey
Amidst all the darkness in these episodes, one thing that really warms my heart is how well loved Rhaenyra's boys are; not only by their mother and Grandfather, but by both of their fathers: Harwin as their birth father and Leaner as their stepfather. Both hold the boys, encourage them, teach them... It feels really wholesome amongst all these scheming political people.
TEAM BLACK 🖤Criston (actor Fabien Frankel is of course very hot) had plenty of time to change his mind. It took forever to take all that armor off. He wanted Rhaenyra, but I don't think he was ever in love. Some might say he didn't have a choice b/c she was royalty, but if he had refused, I don't think Rhaenyra would've had him killed. He felt ashamed & guilty for breaking his vows. By asking her to marry him & run away, it would make his 'sacrifice' seem more acceptable in his mind. And he's held on to this grudge to excuse himself of any blame in the matter. I still don't understand how he received no punishment for killing Laenor's BF Joffery.
Ser Criston Cole is a knight of the King's Guard. He swore a vowel of chastity, so being with any woman, especially Rhaenyra, is forbidden. The same was true for Jamie, but we all know the Lannisters do whatever the hell they want. 😂 Many people would disagree with me, but I am team black. 🖤 I do understand that no side is perfect, and there are a couple of greens that I can appreciate. Criston Cole is not one of them though. 😂
Olivia Cooke who plays the older Alicent was in one of my favorite underrated series "Bates Motel" she played Emma, a high school student (American accent) & on oxygen 24/7. She is an amazing actress

Which choice did he had? If he rejected her, she could claim that he tried to force her into it, the power dynamic here has A LOT of importance that everyone seems to forget or ignore because that would mean their girlboss is an abuser and they can't wrap their heads around that. About episode 6: Pay close attention to what Helena says and it is very important, I wish they had shown us more about Harwin and Laena that watching the series for the agent feels more pain when the characters die, so when I saw the two characters die I was sad for the death of both of them but not to the point of crying for them two characters, you know, I think the writers didn't want to show too much of the two characters for a simple reason and because they probably don't think it's important to the story 38:54 When Laena says she wants her husband back what she married is true because the daemon is depressed and just realizing that he only stays at home reading a book and not sleeping well the daemon gets depressed he misses Viserys and Rhaenyra but he doesn't want to see them, the daemon we know he doesn't see and so 41:47 The daemon had said no with his head but even so Laena died and sad I prefer what they did in the series than the book in the book she loses the baby then she becomes depressed then one night she decides to go to her dragon but on the way she falls down the stairs and dies so I prefer it in the series and it's more exciting because we see her bond with the dragon, Daemon loved his wife so much that he didn't show any sign, he loves her and his daughters only the writers don't show it anymore in the book firewing and blood that he loves his daughters and his wife more Unfortunately, the scriptwriters prefer not to show that there were two deleted scenes, one with the daemon hugging his daughters, the other deleted scene and the daemon sending his daughters to the room because they were seeing the mother in the room trying having the baby so the daemon arrives at the time of Laena's death and was unable to prevent her death 35:36 A curiosity for anyone who has watched Doctor Who, this actor who plays Aegon is the son of David Tennant, he is David, he has worked with Matt, they have both been Doctor Who and now Matt is working with David Tennant's son I recommend you watch Doctor Who, it's very good, this series, if I'm not mistaken, has 13 seasons, it's really worth watching. I recommend you watch Doctor Who.

About episode 5: remembering that the book fire and blood is narrated by dubious narrators The book is told by rumors and gossip so it is not reliable, in the book it says that Daemon never likes his wife he hates her the daemon was forced to marry his wife she it is not important in the story In the book there is nothing about her just that she is married to Daemon and that after a while the news comes from her that she died and that she died falling from the horse that is all that is said about the daemon's wife in the Book 12:52 As I said, Daemon's wife is not important in the story, no one cares about her and the only thing to watch in the scenes when she talks about Daemon's wife is when Rhaenys says that Daemon's wife died, no one paid attention to the news she said That's because she's not important, in the books we don't know if it was the daemon who killed his wife because when she dies the daemon is in a war so we don't know if it was him, in the series they said it was the Daemon who killed his wife the daemon is not killing his wife because she had already lost the movement of her body So much so that he was leaving but the girl was very stupid she opened her mouth so he killed her, the scriptwriters are Ryan they said they said that Daemon is not the kill his wife if she didn't open her mouth, more like She opened her mouth so he'll kill her 18:49 Being a Christian, if you soiled your white command, it was because you wanted to, because Rhaenyra didn't stick a knife in your neck and force you to do what you did, do you really think that, Rhaenyra? I'm already used to it because I read George Martin's books and the stories he tells about the Targaryen family all contain incest. Pay close attention to what Helena says and it is very important, I wish they had shown us more about Harwin and Laena that watching the series for the agent feels more pain when the characters die, so when I saw the two characters die I was sad for the death of both of them but not to the point of crying for them two characters, you know, I think the writers didn't want to show too much of the two characters for a simple reason and because they probably don't think it's important to the story
