House Of The Dragon Series Description:
House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series, a prequel to Game of Thrones (2011-2019). Both series are based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R. R. Martin. House of the Dragon was created by Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO; Condal and Miguel Sapochnik are the showrunners. Based on parts of the novel Fire & Blood, the series is set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It portrays the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen war of succession, known as the "Dance of the Dragons".
House of the Dragon received a straight-to-series order in October 2019 with casting beginning in July 2020 and principal photography starting in April 2021 in the United Kingdom. The series premiered on August 21, 2022, and its first season will consist of ten episodes.

Paddy Considine's performance as King Viserys was Emmy worthy to me, it only gets better as the season goes on. some on the best dialogue we've had since GOT season 4-5 I'd say.

I love how 50% of your commentary was about the costumes and set design. It's well deserved. Down to every little detail.
Viserys ages like milk. Corlys, Rhaenys, Criston, and especially Daemon age like fine wine. So glad to see you do HotD. If you went back and finished GoT, I'd watch that too. The High Sparrow stuff doesn't dominate the rest of the series.

Matt Smith is a fabulous actor. Besides Doctor Who (where I feel he was failed by the writing and directing, because they turned the Doctor into a cartoon character, and I fear it was because Matt was the youngest actor to play the Doctor ever), I also saw him playing a younger Prince Philip in The Crown and he was amazing in that, too.

Episodes 1-8 are a prologue to the main story being told by this particular series. Just fyi because the time jumps can be a bit jarring when the episodes they happen in start. At the end of the prologue the final main cast will be set for the remainder of the series.

My favourite chracter in game of thrones were Jon Snow but also Petyr Baelish. I admired Jon's honour and desire to do the right thing but not as blindly as Ned. And Petyr's tactics and schemes were just a marvel to watch. You gotta admire someone with a brain like that.

HRR Martin wrote a certain number of books in the Song of Ice and Fire series. Game of Thrones was the first book and adapted as the first season of GOT. The second season was based on the second book, which had a totally different title, but to keep from confusing people and spending more marketing money to promote a series with a different name, they kept GOT as the title. After so many books, Martin decided to write another series that took place long before Game of Thrones, starting with the House of the Dragon. He wrote short stories in that world, too, which I hope are incorporated into House of the Dragon (but I doubt it). You would think the writers would grab anything and everything to slap into the show to avoid real work. :)

It’s HBO’s take on the Golden compass if you’ve never seen that it doesn’t matter. It’s essentially a remake. It’s really good I recommend you watch a trailer for it. Not many people know about it but everybody that watches it loves it. It’s a true gem.

For me , the best character is Daemon😁 even though some decisions on the side of the show writers when it comes to his character is problematic( I'm not a fan of storytelling where you put down one person to build up another - Rhaenyra and Daemon). There's just something hipnotic about him when I see him on screen. Like a real dragon put in a human body❤️ it's fascinating.

The daemon he is very proud of he would never accept help from his brother daemon is not a bad person nor a good person he is a gray character, George Martin has said in several interviews that the daemon is neither good nor bad, he is a gray character and George Martin's favorite character is Daemon Targaryen, there are several interviews with the actor who plays daemon who is Matt Smith he also speaks several times in interviews that daemon loves his family and that he would never harm his family and that Daemon would give his life for viserys is for rhaenyra he loves his family and that sometimes they have their problems but he wouldn't hurt any of them and Matt Smith also said that the daemon doesn't want the throne he wants to show his worth to his brother and that he likes fights and likes attention that's what he wants from his brother that's why he does these things
About Episode 4:The Daemon likes Rhaenyra the daemon wanted to show Rhaenyra things because Rhaenyra doesn't know anything outside the kingdom the daemon's plan I believe the daemon wanted people to see them together and they say the princess went into a brothel with her uncle so much as soon as the daemon took off rhaenyra's hood and hat before entering the brothel but the daemon gives up and walks away too bad because he left her alone and rhaenyra and christian's relationship was also wrong because christian he is a knight and he soiled his white robe, remembering that Christian is older than Daemon, so age doesn't matter in this universe, just like incest doesn't matter because that's normal in the Targaryen family. I'm already used to it because I read George Martin's books and in the stories he tells about the Targaryen family, they all have incest. Incest is the most normal thing in this universe
I didn't like the way Alicent talked to Rhaenyra if she wants help friend no and just like you approach a friend Alicent is jealous of her Rhaenyra because Rhaenyra slept with whoever she wanted, she doesn't have to sleep with an old man, you'll understand yet more later Alicent is jealous of Rhaenyra's life in the book shows more
See the difference in the scenes when the daemon talks to Rhaenyra talking even though she is married he can feel pleasure with whoever she wants in the Alicent scene and viserys Alicent is not feeling pleasure already in the Rhaenyra scene and Daemon Rhaenyra is feeling pleasure even if it was the kiss but she is enjoying it more after she sleeps with Christian and she feels pleasure there you can see
In the throne scene, when the daemon says that viserys can do what he wants, because he is the king, he rules him and the law, he is a Targaryen, this is true, as it is also true when viserys tells Alicent that the daemon and rhaenyra are dragons are restless that's true too
About Episode 5: Remembering that the book fire and blood is narrated by dubious narrators The book is told by rumors and gossip so it is not reliable, in the book it says that Daemon never likes his wife he hates her the daemon was forced to marry his wife she not important in the story In the book there is nothing about her just that she is married to Daemon and that after a while the news comes from her that she died and that she died falling off a horse is all that is said about daemon's wife in the Book
Like I said, Daemon's wife is not important in the story, nobody cares about her and only see the scenes when she talks about Daemon's wife is when Rhaenys says Daemon's wife died, nobody cared about the news she said that's because she is not important, in the books it is not known if it was the daemon that killed his wife because when she dies the daemon is in a war so it is not known if it was him, in the series they put that it was the daemon that I kill his wife the daemon is not killing his wife because she had already lost her body movement so much so that he was leaving but the girl was very stupid opened her mouth so he killed her the writers is Ryan they said they said daemon no and the kill his wife if she doesn't open her mouth, more like she opened her mouth so he kill her
