dear doctor strong: why and how does iron affect transferrin? as in iron deficiency case transferrin increases whereas in chronic inflammation case transferrin decreases, why ? how do the affect/change each other ? p.s: i am a big fan of you...
What about anaemia of chronic disease due to kidney failure? My understanding was that the kidneys will produce less erythropoietin, resulting in reduced red blood cell synthesis. How would this cause low total iron, low/normal transferrin and TIBC and high/normal ferritin?
Sir how transferrin increases in iron deficiency,..?, If it was increase in apotransferrin it was ok transferrin =(apotransferrin+iron), In low serum iron how does this complex of iron with protein increases..?
Thank you Dr Strong, this third time , I then first time I heard about soluble transferrin receptor, like I see a ghost :) , so I get it in third time. Thank you very much.
i mean when iron is low but why sometimes transferrin is low, sometimes is high ? how do we predict when transferrin is high when transferrin is low in case of low iron deficiency ???????????? thank you
Iron is low in the serum but they are stored in the enterocytes bound to ferritin, low transferin, which is transporter of the the iron to blood and various area where iron is low.
I'm very sorry but I can't give specific, individualized medical advice on here. I recommend reviewing your test results with the healthcare professional who ordered them for you.

What does it mean if your iron is normal @40, iron saturation is 11% and ferritin is high at 174?
I'm sorry, but I cannot give specific, individualized medical advice here, nor offer an interpretation of an individual patient's test data.
I only had two iron related blood tests. The results say LOW iron serum level, but ferritin level is NORMAL, what does that mean?
I'm very sorry, but I can't provide specific, individualized medical advice. I recommend speaking with your physician re: your test results.
Thank you for the effort
What is the benefit of transferrin saturation?
Nice and simple. Thanks!
I have gastritis so it’s a struggle to get my ferritin and saturation up.
We love you in Miami!!
I have normal iron profile except Transferrin. I have low transferrin.
What does that mean ?

@@StrongMed I ordered them myself actually.
@@IISuperw hey my saturation is just 4.5 what to do next ?
