But what do we do for low iron saturation? Thanks for the information. I watched your other video on low saturation too. My C1 test was a 2 (0-10 range) and my iron saturation was 16 (15 is min of normal) and Ferratin was 49. Iron was 58. The Hemaglobin AIC was 5.9. My doctor said iron was normal and that I was pre-diabetic, but I have lots of inflammation from Osteoarthritis and restless legs syndrome for years that isn't getting better with ropinirole. I also read that eating nuts and legumes could be bad and I eat a handful or two of nuts every morning for breakfast. I was with Kaiser Permanente for years and just got out and got a new doctor, but I was looking for an opinion of whether there is a problem. I donate plasma as a AB+ universal donor too. Just wanting to feel better and I take a lot of supplements including 8 mg of iron in my Centrum Silver for Women. (I am 64). I don't know whether I should push this with my new doctor or not.

Thanks for sharing this information and I’m sorry I can’t analyze your individual results that you have posted here because typically you need serial testing to make sense of some of these things also need the context of what’s going on with each individual person. Typically, low iron saturation in of itself wouldn’t be a problem unless it leads to low total iron there is a new video coming out tomorrow on iron regulation that I think will be helpful in your quest for optimal health, and understanding the relationship iron levels and inflammation. Best of luck.

My iron levels are in normal range but TIBC and saturation are both low, any advice?

I have had both for the longest time. ;( Iron infusions almost every week for a year and a half. I have iron deficiency anemia and b12 even after a hysterectomy.

Some times it takes a while for your body to catch up

@swintegrative , I totally agree. When my Doctors stop my infusions after two months of them I then drop back to square one after two to three weeks of no iron infusions. I am overwhelmed and feeling defeated. Feel like it's a constant chase. I have other preexisting conditions as well that make things very complicated. Trying to be patient and hope for the best, but....
