Really, Armando. You always talk about the topics most of us students have the hardest time understanding. You are amazing and I am really grateful that you make these videos. It's making medschool much more enjoyable. Thank you a lot.

As I end my 2nd year of medical school, I have come to the conclusion that Armando is one of the best “total tutors” on UA-cam. On a one to one comparison, he’s better than Osmosis, which I also respect. Since Armando came before Osmosis, it seems that Osmo can only hope to replicate Armando. I’m super grateful for your channel, Armando.
did u graduate?
Man you should publish your drawing as pdf format so that we could print and hang it on our desk! please think about this!
Orindom Shing Pulock take a screenshot n print
Yes, this would be so helpful!
Yes
He should

Yes...and also that drawings will say the lesson easily and more fast than reading

I have low iron and want to understand how it affects my body. I'm not even studying medicine and I found this really fascinating and accessible. Thank you.
Great,, I wanna add that ..HFE gene protein product facilitates the binding of transferrin to its receptors ,,leading to increased storage ..meaning that the body senses that there's enough iron , so the liver starts to make hepcidin to inhibit the absorption of more iron...
When HFE is mutated ,,,stores aren't filled properly , hepcidin isn't synthesized , reabsorption goes unrestricted and unregulated >>iron accumulates in blood>> then it deposits in tissues
Thanks sir
Thanks ✔️😊

this is so helpful!!! NOT EVEN MY PROFESSOR IS ABLE TO EXPLAIN THIS AS WELL AS YOU!! I am sure this will get me a good grade in CELL BIOLOGY.
Man i love you !! when i see your videos i feel relaxed because i will understand
Winner of a video, I've been looking for "factor viii" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Yannabarn Vanish Thyroid - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend got amazing results with it.
dje si zemljace
WOWWWWWWW Now THAT is an explanation, so simple, direct and easy to understand thank youu Prof.Armando God bless ur soul :"D
Thank you so muccchhhh!!! 😭😭
In 14 minutes, you have very clearly explained something my lecturer could not properly explain in 2 hours. She was so hung up on the every little of each receptor and biochemistry of each enzymes she forgot to explain the process and concept.
Name: Iron (Neutrients)
Functions: art of the protein hemoglobin which carries O2 in the body. Part of the protein myoglobin in muscle which makes O2 available for muscle contraction
Sources: Red meats, liver, poultry, fish, shellfish, beans, peas, dried fruit, eggs
I hadn't understood anything about Iron metabolism until I saw this video. Thank you so much for making it easier to learn and I hope you will improve this channel more in the future.
From Vietnamese medical student
You are a genius....I am saying again, you are a true genius.....the way you explained is just made me speechless. Thanks a lot sir......
I got exam in a week and you just saved my life!! thank you sir!!! I learn more from this video than i learn during class.. the infos is now ingrained in my brain.. savior!!
Iron is mainly recycled in the body via macrophages releasing iron from red blood cells. So infact we only need about 1-2mg supplement of dietary iron absorption daily to account for bleeding, and shedding of skin cells etc.
thanks, a lecture of 50 mins in class about iron = I got 40% knowledge
a video of 16:04 min in your channel = i got 79% of knowledge
thanks, keep the good work up
Mazin Talal
He is good. Just curious, how did you determine the exact 79%?
lol
Lol
@@apurvakmr ty kind sir for asking what's on my mind
i'm literally about to graduate medical laboratory science, but i'm not gonna lie, this video made me understand more than the two courses i took on hematology....
I always crack up when you say "I hope that makes sense"
When we do iron studies, we measure ferritin and transferrin levels from the *serum*. However you describe ferritin as only being located in the liver. I wish you had explained what ferritin is doing in the bloodstream and its clinical correlation.
salamat armando hulog ka ng langit
It would be wonderful if you trademarked your work in the corner because I love your explanations and drawings! Using these to study physiology in medical school has been a game changer for me as a Visual learner. I would use them as a template to recap what I learned from your videos. You should have one fully drawn and blank and another completely done available for download! I hope you continue to help so many other learners!
He's already making such a big effort for people like you. Now you're telling him what he SHOULD do? People like you are so irritating. Someone gives a bit and you demand a lot.
thnkuu soo much...DAT helped me a lot for my exams....
I have read countless articles with insanely overcomplicated language just to find out the same concepts can be explain in such a neat, simple and comprehensive way. Thank you so so much for this video. It definitely helps with my research paper!!!!
Thank you! This was exactly the explanation I needed to sort through some confusing experimental iron measurements. In-depth enough that I see the complexity, but simple enough that I grasped the concept.
These are brilliant well elaborated presentation makes easy in studying medicine.
That looks by far the hardest thing you had to explain, and it surely took you a lot of time to summarize it and organize it. Thank you a lot. It's really a life saving video.
This is awesome Armando Hasudungan. I'm super grateful that you take the time to make these videos!!!!!!! God bless you.
I have just been diagnosed with Hereditary Hemochromatosis at the age of 44 and found this video very useful to help me understand what it is and how it affects me. I am now on the look out, to get involved in any research projects on Hereditary Hemochromatosis, if you or any of your followers know of any in the UK please let me know. Or do a video, many thanks.
This was just amazing, less time, well explained with diagrams and easy to understand 😍😍you should be awarded a nobel prize for this 😀
sir,its outstanding....but i need a few things..
1.in enterocytes hephaestin convert fe+3 to fe+2,who does so when fe z released 4rm spleen in fe+2 form.
2. typically spleen z rbcs graveyard ,then what z Hb /myogloben doing in enterocytes.
3.whenever heme z broken down which form of iron will b produced?
This is worth viewing and not k-pop trashes.
this is so insanely good. thank you so much! you just summarized and clarified 56 pages of Guyton's physiology for me!!
If I could meet your mom i’d tell her what a wonderful son you are lol you are a true life saver! Thank you for your work!!!
Is it possible to get an over head shot of the entire page
Beautiful! I loved watching you draw-I didn't need all of the information for my physician assistant class, but I was mesmerized and watched almost the whole thing. Thank you!
Best channel of biochemistry
Thanks so much
I'm a bit confused. I'm supposed to go into how heme iron metabolism differs from non-heme iron. Is the only difference then that heme iron is ingested as hemoglobin and is broken down in the enterocyte into heme and globin?
I would say it's perfect, since clear explanations are given.
Each n every single detail is clearly explain for better understanding.
Love it. Thanks !!!!
From 2022, still the golden video for learning Iron absorption 👌
I’ve haemochromatosis - really useful to understand the mechanisms. This information is typically highly inaccessible, so many thanks for making it clear.
This is GOLD! Thank you Armando!!!
No this is iron
thank you !! i passed anatomy and physiology this semester cuz of you ❤️❤️❤️
Armando Hasudungan is the greatest study hack ever.
I know, he's the best
Best teacher ever

much love
I have learnt the zooming technique from you. Thanks very ,much. From 🇺🇬 Uganda
I think this video is so good it makes me want to live and learn forever. Wow! Thank you, Armando!!
Amazing , very informative and simple .. thank you 🌹
Handsdown my favorite medical videos. Much love!
This inspires me. Thanks.
Excellent explanation for medicos and especially integrated drawings. Hats off
Thank You very much, sir.
This is really well done. Would be great if you could do one about transfusional iron overload.
i was hoping i could help my wife's issue with low iron levels during pregnancy so i was looking here. is there a video that you have with iron deficiencies during pregnancy? of how it happens and enzymes involved etc? this is kind of my way of strategy for combating the issue.
GREAT videos by the way, i did graduate thanks to your videos and i've been working in the hospital for 3 years currently
respect man....for your explanation.......hats off.
Needed this for my biomed essay in UK 🇬🇧 cheers from across the pond
[23012] Lee I was able to understand the iron absorption process better with the pictures and kind explanations in the video. Thank you.
How does ferrous iron get transported
well this is a MASTERPIECE, period.
The video makes iron physiology so clear. Love u !!! That helps a lot !!!
[23127] kim / The iron part was the most difficult part while studying for the test, and it helped me understand it a lot by watching this video. Thank you.
Thank you you taught us best way we can understand this iron 💓
thank you man
THANK you for you sincere hard work. Truly GRATEFUL : )
thanks so much you are making a difference in this world making education available to everybody in such a limpid way ; bless you Armando .
Awesome explanations 👏🏻👏🏻 I just like the way you draw to tell us clearly✨
[32721] Kim
I was able to understand better because you taught me slowly about the absorption of iron. A delicate painting was also helpful.
Thank you so much. May God bless you.
Thank you, your explanation and drawings make it very clear.
Excellent presentation.
simply perfect.wow . after so many lectures today its clear to me . thank s sir
Great explanation. Clear and concise. Thank you.
Wow!this is one of your best videos I swear
Brilliant. How amazing is our creator.
Great video 😊 Doing my specializaton's paper work in hemochromatosis and this is so helpful,I passed my physiology exam long time ago, now it's going to be so much easier to review everything 👌
What happens to the surplus iron?
Thanks Sir, that was a really thorough explanation....and I think the best video to cover Iron Metabolism....yaaaay!!!
Excellent! But appears a bit faster. Explain action for how liver gets affected by overloading of iron would have been useful one.
Your a excellent teacher and I am of low education but I understand but I would fail a test but I could have a wonderful conversation .
I believe you explained it well. Thank you for making this video.
Ur video helped me alot sir thank u and ur drawing skill is amazing👏
Thanks for such an Excellent explanation
Lovely easy to comprehend video🙌
May God bless you!! you really make it easy for hundreds of thousands of people
Very simple and informative too
I understand this better than the book. Thank you so much
When it gets difficult , open Armando YT ♥️ thanks .
Great video!
Just a quick question - surely if hepsidin is not functioning properly then yes, excessive iron would be absorbed, but surely ferroportin channels would also not be blocked therefore iron could escape and iron tissue overload would not occur?
thank U mr. Armando hasudungan
It made a lot more sense the second time I viewed it!
[22023] Kim, Through the picture description, I understood iron physiology well. Thank you for the brief and easy lecture.
[23294] Song/ It was really helpful and good for me because it was a time to see how iron is digested and used in our bodies.
Hi. Can you please make a video of hemachromatosis. Explain what too much Iron in the body do. Your videoes are very instructive.
Thank you for your efforts.
you are the best !!
you are a great help in our medical studies
thanx alot !!!
i am so lucky to watch ur interesting lecture❤
Even i study medecine with French language but i totally understand
Thank you very much ♥️
Is there any way you could share a picture of the whole process? It would be easier to follow your video and keep as notes! Great video!
yes. go to his website armandoh.org/
Thanks alot for clear presentation
