I thought it was from Riku's perspective, talking to Sora. "I need more affection than you'll now" - A lot of KH1's story happened because Riku felt left alone by Sora. "I will destroy them" - Maybe Soras "new friends"? There are a couple more. I think both are possibilities since neither of the two hypothesises fits to everything. For example I can't imagine Namine saying "I will destroy them". Even if she would just be talking about memories or something like that she wouldn't use a word such as "destroy"
Sora is a little part of Namine. I'm not entirely sure anymore how exactly it was explained but when Sora opened his heart to save Kairi they got intertwined. Firstly that's why Kairi can have a Nobody overall, since Princesses of Heart can't lose their heart iirc, and secondly why Namine has the ability of altering memories but ONLY the ones of Sora and those affiliated with him.
Just noticed that some people pointed out that it sounds more like "I will NOT destroy them". If that's the case Namine really is more likely than Riku.

The English version and the Japanese version have different lyrics. Utada Hikaru wrote the English version first. Both songs are definitely from Riku’s point of view. These lyrics sung backwards are trying to tell us that he gave into darkness while he was under Ansems influence. His heart is a battleground when he battles with the light and the darkness. "We used to laugh we shall go back" meaning he misses the old days when they were friends and wants to go back to the destiny islands. "And now you shall sleep" Sora sleeps in chain of memories "I watch you fast asleep all I fear means nothing." "I need more affection than you know" and" I need true emotions" means he wants more attention from Sora and he wishes to face how he really feels about him.
Also Riku is very unsubtly in love with Sora and has been since the beginning. I always interpreted the paopu fruit scene where he says to Sora "C'mon I know you wanna try it" as a shy attempt to express his affection to Sora
Hmm.... so just the English versions? or the English and Japanese versions? because I translated the Japanese version of Simple and Clean with a Ray of Hope, and the lyrics are different from the English version so.... maybe it's just the English versions?

I'm guessing that "My hero was Ansem, My hero was Ansem, And it was real, and i never knew it" is saying that Sora thought of Riku as his hero and Ansem took over Riku's body and Sora never knew until he fought Ansem at the end of Kingdom Hearts 1
It's creepy listening to it but if you watch the video and you see Donald and Goofy you feel like 15 times more relaxed remembering this is a kids game.
Nathan Benitez It is technically a kid's game, but kids generally won't get the underlying tones and message of the series, and the second game has some stuff that kids probably won't like, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean world having realistic people and blood in some cutscenes.
Some serious Illuminati shit going on in the KH series (nothing unexpected coming from Disney)... =P In fact, the whole series is full of symbolism and I have to admit it is indeed scary to see my favorite videogames series with so many subliminal messages. The mysticism behind the entire franchise is simultaneously one of the things that also make it special for me (but it is spooky if you analyze it with the "right" perspective). Curious enough, the song is called "Sanctuary", as if you should praise an entity ("My hero was Ansem", aka the seeker of Darkness). "13", "7" and "3" are very important numbers in the entire series. These numbers alone have a strong symbolism associated to them. The Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key-D are also symbols similar to the "Keys of Heaven" from the Vatican (which also happen to be a strange allusion to the "X-Blade"). St. Peter's Square even as a Keyhole and stuff (Google it). Xehanort's Keyblade happen to be a Foreteller's Keyblade (which has a strange looking eye on it) but also a goat (aka Baphomet). The way they decided to symbolize the whole submission to Xehanort's thing is also a curious one (orange eyes). Even the intro of the games with Sora falling from the sky in a clear sunny day (like a "fallen angel") And I could go on with it... As I said, I love this series, but you can't deny that if you analyze it in a certain way, you'll realize there's a lot of hidden stuff (even more complexe than the storyline).
Or not because it has nothing to do with the illuminati it's referring to the organization be smarter than that instead of asuming its illuminati like I hate people that do that
dankiirving irving Wow, you must be fun at parties! I was being sarcastic in my first comment (in case you didn't notice), but anyway, here are some other things to "nurture" your thoughts... Why on earth would the Darkness inside the heart of a Old man (Master Xehanort) be splitted into "13" exact vessels (this is part of the Dream Drop Distance plot by the way)? Why choose "13" elements for a Organization that wants to capture the heart of people for themselves? "13 Darknesses" vs "7 Lights"? Why such exact numbers? Even the Organization's clothing is very similar to the kind you see in secret cults... Why is the idea of duality (light vs dark) such a part of the series? Why is this thought so defended throughout the franchise (Xehanort mentions many times that Light and Dark are "in Equilibrium")? Why are Xemnas' clothes black and white in the final battle of KH2? Again, duality symbolism all over the place which also happens to be something defended in the Illuminati ideology, not to mention the"white & black checkers symbols" (another symbol from FreeMasonry) that is in every KH-related artwork. I'm not trying to degrade the series (it's my favorite videogame series of all time), but I could do this all day. A lot of Illuminati symbolism is present in KH and denying it would be even more stupid.
AirbagVII YES! You hit the nail right on the head! I replayed the entire series just to look for the symbols I missed as a kid. In KH2 the Organization is using Sora as a puppet of sorts. At least until he realizes the truth, he thinks he's saving the world by killing the heartless. This is kind of big when it comes to Illuminati and how they mask the masses into thinking they are "doing the right thing" by doing meaningless things for example, Like my status if you support [insert cause here]. People believe the right thing is being done, in reality we are not doing a damn thing about said issue. Same with Sora.
wargodspirit What do you say? I didn't understand. see this video ( watch?v=IXMGRcdn2Qo ) people in this village complain from magic, so it came reader to read for them from the Quran.
IKnowWhatYouDid UAE فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ Oh, people in this town smoke weed, shoot smack, snort coke, and complain why they don't have money. :D So I naturally be a complete and absolute dick around them. There is no relation between the topic we're on and the town I'm talking about! :3 I thought I'd share.
+Aidan Keogh I think its roxas due to "i need true emotions", "I hate Emotion", The whole miror thing at the end, and also "We used to laugh, we Shall be back"
"I need more affection than you know" has never been a secret. Utada Hikaru (The singer/writer of this song) said in an interview said that she recorded parts of the song backwards.
It can also be about Roxas if you think about it: I need more affection than you'll know (Roxas is a nobody, he doesn't have a heart, nor can he feel) I need true emotions (Basically the above) My hero was Ansem (his leader is Xemnas, nobody of Ansem) I was him (Roxas was Sora) And now you shall sleep (he goes back into Sora in KH II) I may be just overthinking stuff, but hey, I still think it's more about Riku, but it can be Roxas as well
I think the song is talking about Organization 13, saying that they have no emotion. and saying that they desperately want too feel emotion, and have a heart.
Wait so the theory that Riku is Ansem/Xehnort from the very start is true?... "HE WAS ANSEM, HE WAS ANSEM" man, it kind of creepy to hear songs backwards...
People have been playing songs backwards for a long time to try to get more meaning from them. it usually ends up being something random and creepy and our need for more drives us to interpret the sounds and give meaning when there was none to begin with. we need to stick to truth.
Sally Farb This is too much of a coincidence. It matches the tone of Kingdom Hearts way too much to not have truth to it. Besides, Riku was apart of Ansem for a long time. So the meaning of the song backwards makes a lot of sense.
Everybody this song was written by Utada Hikaru. It is a stand alone song. It was not created for Kingdom Hearts. There are parts that sound backwards when you play the song forwards. Those are the only lines that are legitimate secret messages because obviously if they are backwards when you play the song normally they will have a clear message when you play the song backwards. The secret messages are in no way relevant to Kingdom Hearts. The only lines that are backwards messages are "I need more affection than you'll know", "So many ups and downs", and "I need true emotions". The rest is completely made up.
I think its speaks to how masterfully crafted the song and the series as a whole is that this song makes sense and has relevance backwards as well as forwards. So many mind-blowing parallels you can draw between the words and the characters...
I think it's based of of Riku I was him= Riku was ansem He was ansem= Ansem was the one who basically controlled Riku I need more affection than you know= Kairi likes sora, not Riku. And he wants affection. Closing hurry/Closing, now I can't close it= the realm of darkness I need true emotions= it's a cry for help because of the darkness in his heart
No man it said closing curry. The curry shop is closing and he's desperate to get there early because he's affectionate to the curry. He can't express his emotions in public when he says his favorite curry.
KH, like a lot of other great fiction today, has a lot of esoteric meaning and occultic symbology, that's for sure... Most other KH fans don't realize it because they're just gamers and do not play the games to also analyze them.
Wow! I knew there was that "I need more affection than you'll ever know" message, but the entire song and beginning words!? Yeah, this just blew my mind.
Instead of it being Illuminati, (like everyone wants it to be.) I think its both Ansem's declaration of vengeance against Organization XIII and Mickey saying his hero/friend was Ansem the Wise, Xemnas declaring he stole Ansem's name, Sora saying that the friendship he experienced as Roxas was real and the Nobodies wanting to experience true emotions.
I think that the song forward is like Sora and Kairi becoming nobodys. Then backwards is Riku and Roxas talking about emotions and Ansem. Specificly the song, the ending is something else.
I've been obsessed with kingdom hearts ever since the very first game. And I just found your channel. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? Thank UA-cam for recommendations!
The whole 'I need more affection than you know' part when the song was played normally killed the song for me. But when it was played backwards (when you could actually hear 'I need more affection than you know' clearly) I liked it. BACKWARDS MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER!!!!! XD
I listened tot his backwards before which is so cool, also Utada actually said those reversed lines backwards without any editing done to it which is cool! Also I never even thought about this it does sound like that's what its saying throughout the whole song!
The backwards lines I think were intentional are "I need more affection than you know" "So many ups and downs" and "I need true emotions". You can also hear clearly "I hate emotion" and "I will not destroy them" because those parts are actually backwards in the original as well. Basically the whole Marluxia stairway part until the end of Namine drawing it is backwards intentionally besides the line, "My heart's a battle ground" because that's obviously forwards lol.
I still think this is pretty creepy, but I just looked up the lyrics because I still have no idea what the fuck she is saying in the song, and it shows a line "I need more affection than you know (reversed)" so I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say it was intentional. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (It's still gives me nightmares tho)
C'mon, we all know the 'secret messages' are all *wrong* ! Except a few sentences like "I need more affection then you'll know", "so many ups and downs", "I need true emotions" of course. But the rest is fake. Anyway some wrong sentences like "Naminé, I'm sorry" is an interesting interpretation of the song in reverse. But seriously Utada Hikaru wrote this song and sang it without thinking about some hidden messages when the songs plays backward, except of course the sentences in reverse in the 'normal' song. But she didn't choose the other lyrics (My Sancturay, where fear and lies melt away etc) because they sounds like "He was Ansem" backward. Even if some of the lyrics of the song doesn't make sense. Please, now try to find more hidden messages with the Spanish opening :D and the Japanese one
The line "I need more affection then you know" is actually her singing exactly that reversed in the song when played normally, anybody who looked up the lyrics since this song has been out would know that :)
Yeah, considering Hikaru Utada made her songs focusing on the Japanese version, I would have to doubt that she found a way to make it so that it has a hidden message when translating it to the English version.
It is soooo much easier to make hidden messages while playing a song backwards in Japanese, just because of how the language works. I wouldn't doubt that you could find something in the Japanese version.
i bet it takes some incredible planning to come up with something that fits both ways total props to them, that was incredible! thanks for doing this for us :)
Organization 13... Illuminati has 3 sides and 1 eye... Roxas, a member of the organization, fought Riku once, and Riku wore an organization jacket also... Roxas is Sora's nobody... Sora... Sora and Riku share a bond that makes them identical to brothers... The Kingdom Key, the main keyblade, has 3 points, and both Sora and Riku can wield them... Now, even Kairi can...completing not only the trio but the keyblade warrior one... Kingdom Hearts? More like, Kingdom Eye!
So, what I find stranger, is the video itself played backwards. Sora slashing at the heartless, replaying backwards is like showing his darkness (each heartless created)
Ah, another UA-cam video playing "The Gullible Game". The game where people make and post bs videos to see how many people they can make believe its all true. The truth? There are only 3 backmasked lines that are revealed when played in reverse: "I need more affection than you'll know", "So many ups and downs", and "I need true emotion". When the song is played normally, you can hear these parts are reversed. Hence, why they are revealed when playing the song in reverse. The rest is just the song playing in reverse with words put on the screen from what it sounds like is being said. You can literally do this with any vocal audio. Record yourself talking and reverse it. You could hear things that aren't actually being said. Putting those words in caption while its playing fools the brain. Normal things played in reverse is all naturally gibberish. Shout out to all the non-gullible people who knew this already. Shame on those too gullible to see past the bs. Lol
Sorry to have read this a month late. But I agree. As much as I would like to respect the author's/uploader's thought or opinion... YEAH RIGHT. SECRET MESSAGE YOUR FACE.
amdc3515 All they wanted was some views. They got that. There is no opinion. Only what is true and what is false. False is that there are secret messages. True is there are 3 backmasked lines that you already know about listening to it normally. I believe they know this already. They're just bs'ing.
Just Some Guy On The Internet its not bullshit. You actually hear what they are saying backwards. The point was that what he heard backwards, sounds like a secret message, which it is when you listen. He put down what he heard. And, this all could have been intentional, never know.
David Gonzalez Himynameis Record yourself talking, singing, rapping, etc. Guarantee you can do the exact same thing with it. Or any vocals for that matter. I know because I started doing it with my own vocals when I was 11 years old. You can always hear something that sounds like something else when you reverse vocals. There is nothing here but the obvious backmasked vocals. 3 lines only. People who think its anything more are just gullible.
It's like in the old days when people insisted that there were secret messages in rock music if you played it backwards, and that the secret messages tempted their children to worship Satan or some bullshit.
most of these "lyrics" are the result of the human brain finding words where there isn't any, like how people see lincolns face in bran flakes. Sanctuary does have a few back masked areas, these are the "I need more affection than you know" lines. the rest of it is gibberish. subtitles can make you believe anything.
+Lonelle P maybe for the "i need more affection than you know" part, since that's the only line that is clearly reversed in the normal version. But for the rest to be reversed? Mmmm.....not feeling it.
What about “so many ups and downs”, the fact that phrase is there both when reversed and normal leads me to believe the entire song was meant to be played forward and backwards.
This song always seemed like Roxas' song. His sanctuary in Sora'a heart. Where he's safe. But backwards was about Riku. But hearing it again, it's still Roxas. It's about his tragedy fighting Riku after being in organization 13. The heartbreaking part "I need more affection them you know" Roxas crying out because he was growing a heart before death.
It was fitting that at 3:36 the lines "My hero was Ansem." played while Riku-Ansem was in the background. In KH2 Sora admits to Riku he wants to be more like him (note Sora uses present tense verbs). That implies Sora sees qualities in Riku he wished he had or at least grew up looking up to him. And there are other things post KH2, such as the manga and Re:Coded HD that hints Sora has that admiration towards Riku. And to top it all off, Riku has saved Sora. So the "hero" thing fits perfectly. Dang, this whole Sanctuary backwards is as eerie as the team's building's lights shutting down when Destati played.
*sora opens doors* (song)"close it"*sora closes door* lol
I mean, Square Enix did make both the intro and song I think..
lmao I was thinking the same thing, namine was like "How dare you? Close it."
Utada Hikaru

The Kingdom Key and Kingdom Key-D are also symbols similar to the "Keys of Heaven" from the Vatican (which also happen to be a strange allusion to the "X-Blade"). St. Peter's Square even as a Keyhole and stuff (Google it).
Xehanort's Keyblade happen to be a Foreteller's Keyblade (which has a strange looking eye on it) but also a goat (aka Baphomet).
The way they decided to symbolize the whole submission to Xehanort's thing is also a curious one (orange eyes).
Even the intro of the games with Sora falling from the sky in a clear sunny day (like a "fallen angel")
And I could go on with it...
As I said, I love this series, but you can't deny that if you analyze it in a certain way, you'll realize there's a lot of hidden stuff (even more complexe than the storyline).
yep!
Oh I thought they ment ansem the wise was the hero or something :/ so the dark one?
AirbagVII YES! You hit the nail right on the head! I replayed the entire series just to look for the symbols I missed as a kid. In KH2 the Organization is using Sora as a puppet of sorts. At least until he realizes the truth, he thinks he's saving the world by killing the heartless. This is kind of big when it comes to Illuminati and how they mask the masses into thinking they are "doing the right thing" by doing meaningless things for example, Like my status if you support [insert cause here]. People believe the right thing is being done, in reality we are not doing a damn thing about said issue. Same with Sora.
1:36 when it said "close it" the door closed? 0.0
I use magic! :D
wargodspirit I don't think so -.-
IKnowWhatYouDid UAE فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ You don't say! :D How can you tell? :P
wargodspirit What do you say?
I may be a bit weird for thinking this but it doesn't sound that bad backwards, and it sounds sad to
I agree
Positive and Negative King ikr
"I need more affection than you'll know." That could apply to both Roxas and Riku.
+Aidan Keogh I think its roxas due to "i need true emotions", "I hate Emotion", The whole miror thing at the end, and also "We used to laugh, we Shall be back"
Or any nobody or terra or xehanort being scared of seeing everyone die in key war
That almost fits with everybody exept the none KH Characters (As Mickey or Cloud) ^^'
I have a theory this song is being sung by the hartless
"I need more affection than you know" has never been a secret. Utada Hikaru (The singer/writer of this song) said in an interview said that she recorded parts of the song backwards.
2:10, so that's how heartless are actually created. swinging the key blade backwards creates more here
(accidentally hit the send button) heartless
LOL
so half life 3 confirmed
Yes
What about ricochet 2?
Yes and... ILLUMINATTI CONFIRMED
armaan ajoomal THE ILLUMINATTI IS IN KINGDOM HEARTS?!
Paula Authement well, it is in disney so...
It can also be about Roxas if you think about it:
I need more affection than you'll know (Roxas is a nobody, he doesn't have a heart, nor can he feel)
I need true emotions (Basically the above)
My hero was Ansem (his leader is Xemnas, nobody of Ansem)
I was him (Roxas was Sora)
And now you shall sleep (he goes back into Sora in KH II)
I may be just overthinking stuff, but hey, I still think it's more about Riku, but it can be Roxas as well
I like this theory!😊
Inb4 Sora is secretly a failed copy of Ansem
And b4 Sora, Kari, Riku, mickey, Donald, goofy, cloud, sephiroth, Leon, and literally EVERYONE else is part xehanort. Half life 3 confirmed
Inb4 all of this was actually just a nightmare from Xehanort.
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop - Super Inception confirmed
+Zraiarz Denizen I'd be pretty pissed
it's stupid
DA FUQ Sora, is ANSEM?! HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!
Cynical used Confuse Kingdom Hearts fans
It's super effective
I like how even though some words don't sound anything like the subtitles, they're put in anyways.
my dudes.... Its creepy how well pronounced these words are backwards.
She probably sand them correctly and they reversed the lyrics in the audio
I think the song is talking about Organization 13, saying that they have no emotion. and saying that they desperately want too feel emotion, and have a heart.
I always thought Ansem was 'Handsome'
Yohanna Here he is guys who are cuties with long hair is a very hot turn on yes!!!
Yohanna Here who is asnem?
Jesse Davies first kingdom Hearts riku is ansem
Ansem The Handsome. lol
To me sometimes it sounded like someone was trying to hard to make nonsense in to words, but it is still fun to think about.
JeXoLucs- DARKSHOCK He 'was' Ansem back then.~ x3
+JeXoL DARKSHOCK you know whats creepy the Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask song of healing reversed song of unhealing
My hero was ansem. Boom proved wrong
I think its speaks to how masterfully crafted the song and the series as a whole is that this song makes sense and has relevance backwards as well as forwards. So many mind-blowing parallels you can draw between the words and the characters...
He was Ansem, He was Ansem! WE GET IT ALREADY
ZBoot we all no waste of time I came here ..... for hidden message bullshit
Ok.
Considering that this might be more than just a lyric since 2.8 came out.... I think that there might be someone very important who is ansem.
He wasn't though, he was Xehanort c:
*DARKNESS WITHIN DARKNESS*
the original song is confusing, and then when you reverse it, it gets more confusing
no one will change my mind but Nomura himself:
the reversed lyrics are talking about Namine,RIku,and Roxas
I think it's based of of Riku
I was him= Riku was ansem
He was ansem= Ansem was the one who basically controlled Riku
I need more affection than you know= Kairi likes sora, not Riku. And he wants affection.
Closing hurry/Closing, now I can't close it= the realm of darkness
I need true emotions= it's a cry for help because of the darkness in his heart
Wow nice theory man i like it👍🏻
No man it said closing curry. The curry shop is closing and he's desperate to get there early because he's affectionate to the curry. He can't express his emotions in public when he says his favorite curry.
+Xephyr Weiss when he eats*
I was him also could be talking about sora
Crazy Bobert: Yours is the best theory I've seen so far.
This makes me wanna listen to all of Hikki's songs in reverse.
3:48 That backflip thoooooooo
KnightsRiot : right
I always knew this song had more meaning than we thought
There are so many creepy subliminal messages in Kingdom Hearts this is only the tip of the iceberg
"My hero was Ansem" possibly referring to Riku looking like Ansem?
you honestly need to shut the fuck up. and get a life.
+Angel Barquin Pereira you honestly need to shut the fuck up and let people say what they want.
+dyllon streine everyone knows this is fake and forced please dont try to be a smartass
+dyllon streine everyone knows this is fake and forced please dont try to be a smartass
@@AngelAhkam stop being a bot and just let people ask what they wanna ask lmao
XD when it said close it and Namine just went back to drawing that’s me
i laughed so freaking hard when sora opens the door and the song goes "close it" and then he closes it XDDD
After recently beating Reverse/Rebirth I concur that this is about Riku in CoM.
itsddashrock I think Xion was singing This 'I Was Him' = Xion was Sora, She is his 'clone'
Gemma Thompson well that would actually make sense...if square enix had planned 4 years in advance
You're all wrong this illuminati you don't see this because you don't know what is the illuminati you need to know because you're eyes are closed
KarimTheHeat Gaming Fuck is you talking about? Gonna lock this 3 month old thread from your tinfoil hat bullshit.
It’s honestly genius that the song was written in such a way that a huge chunk of the lyrics can be played backwards and still function as lyrics
Notice that when you play re:chain in Riku's route in the menu it's called Reverse.
I think that the song forward is like Sora and Kairi becoming nobodys. Then backwards is Riku and Roxas talking about emotions and Ansem. Specificly the song, the ending is something else.
Sooooo, out of curiosity, how many other people have watched this like over a dozen times? XD
Not alone
This is my jam
+Rude Same here
+No.XVII the Red Mage Gamer Oh you too? Well "Now you shall sleep"
Meeee
I've been obsessed with kingdom hearts ever since the very first game. And I just found your channel. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE? Thank UA-cam for recommendations!
1:37
Namine: close it
Sora: oh ok
"I need true emotions." Mind blown
The whole 'I need more affection than you know' part when the song was played normally killed the song for me. But when it was played backwards (when you could actually hear 'I need more affection than you know' clearly) I liked it. BACKWARDS MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER!!!!! XD
Maybe this song played forward is about Sora while playing it backwards makes it about Riku, similar to what CoM did
"I need more affection than you'll know" was the only part the song author intentionally reversed in the original song
I listened tot his backwards before which is so cool, also Utada actually said those reversed lines backwards without any editing done to it which is cool!
Also I never even thought about this it does sound like that's what its saying throughout the whole song!
Just some lines are truly backwards
you should make another video about your thoughts about this. if you think it means anything. i find this really interesting, although its old news
I agree.
Me too
Definitely.
El opening español no existe es fake
plus sanctuary wassnt made just for kiingdom hearts lol
Now explain me The "Close it" (1:37) moment. That freaked me out!
I thought it was funny XD
CJjonaz Most likely a mere coincidence, but I'm not going to lie. That part would have been perfect if it was indeed intended.
The line "I need more affection then you know" is actually her singing exactly that reversed in the song when played normally, anybody who looked up the lyrics since this song has been out would know that :)
This hits so fucken hard now knowing what we know that happened in KHUx and our character
"I need more affection than you'll know" is the only line that's actually backwards
Everything else is just backwards nonesense
And I need true emotion
Sanctuary = Sora theme
Reverse Sanctuary = Riku theme
What about the Japanese version? Maybe this is just a coincidence
i was literally just about to say that
Yeah, considering Hikaru Utada made her songs focusing on the Japanese version, I would have to doubt that she found a way to make it so that it has a hidden message when translating it to the English version.
It is soooo much easier to make hidden messages while playing a song backwards in Japanese, just because of how the language works. I wouldn't doubt that you could find something in the Japanese version.
Most of it is coincidental however there are backwards lines in the song.
The weird part is, the backwards lyrics I'm both versions are in English. Coincidence I think but
i bet it takes some incredible planning to come up with something that fits both ways total props to them, that was incredible! thanks for doing this for us :)
Riku's in the illumannati
Hahaha.
DatDamn MegaBusta You are my best friend because of that! Lmfao!
Riku IS the illuminati
KyoZero Lucifer was the LIGHTBRINGER
you are right about that TheGamersJoint when you said it was about Riku and Chain of Memories
Listen, i know this is an awesome discovery and stuff.
But if you go listening to music in reverse, you're asking for weird crap to happen.
The part where she sings "Close it." And Sora shuts the door, freaks me out every single time...
This is nightmare fuel. Sorry, I love the song, but I think I'll just go back and listen to it normally now...
1:53 I have goosebumps, sweat, and tears come from my eyes
xehanort decoded as a heartless is noheart
So, what I find stranger, is the video itself played backwards. Sora slashing at the heartless, replaying backwards is like showing his darkness (each heartless created)
That Ansem timing at 3:19
This video is so old, but when ever I see it, it cheers me up.
I'm still not sure why though...
gravity falls and kingdom hearts will be perfect for eachother if u kno what I mean
Ikr!? Bill cypher is also meant to be a villan in KH
+Crazy Bobert perfect
Actually, it was intended to have a reversed version.
+Lonelle P maybe for the "i need more affection than you know" part, since that's the only line that is clearly reversed in the normal version. But for the rest to be reversed? Mmmm.....not feeling it.
+Lonelle P Also, source?
What about “so many ups and downs”, the fact that phrase is there both when reversed and normal leads me to believe the entire song was meant to be played forward and backwards.
Quaberr wrong, the lines include "I need true emotions" and "so many ups and downs" those are clear as day, the rest is plausible.
What has been heard here, can't be unheard
wooow How did you noticed that!!!??
This song always seemed like Roxas' song. His sanctuary in Sora'a heart. Where he's safe. But backwards was about Riku. But hearing it again, it's still Roxas. It's about his tragedy fighting Riku after being in organization 13. The heartbreaking part "I need more affection them you know" Roxas crying out because he was growing a heart before death.
Music forward about Sora
Music backward about Riku
it's chilling how even the video lines up with the backwards lyrics. I love it!
Now this makes the damn music ..... CREEPY!!!
Well Riku did turn into Ansem so in a way Kairi's hero is Ansem.
0:21.
0:22
That's the story of the King of Truth...
...RECLAIM YOUR HEART.
