Hikaru was just a song chosen from utada album. Idk how much merit to life the original kingdom hearts has. Good question for squaresoft and disney..enix
So Simple in clean forward is Sora's feelings for Kairi, but backward it's Riku being seduced by Darkness. Sanctuary forward is about Roxas sleeping in Sora to become whole. while Backward it's about Riku regretting he let the Darkness take him? Hmmm intresting, so both songs forward are about Sora's love and backwards Riku's journey to except Sora's friendship. man, with my buddy going to prison...Kingdom Hearts is hitting me more and more. Eppecially with all I go through.
I love the English, Japanese, and reversed version of Simple and Clean and Sanctuary. I never knew I could enjoy songs in so many different versions lol
guys...this is something called the framing effect. because we see the lyrics on screen, its easy to say "yeah, that gibberish sounds like lyrics" but lets be honest: without lyrics, this wouldnt make nearly as much sense. there are a few sentences that sound real, but most dont
Wasn't Utada Hikaru asked to make a song that was about Sora playing forwards but Rikue's perspective backwards? Maybe that was for Passion and maybe that's just gossip.
Simple and Clean was written for Kingdom Hearts 1, and yet when reversed, it seems like it talks about events that won't happen until Chain of Memories or even Birth By Sleep! That is freaking mind blowing!!!
A ten year old hero. Not literally a hero who's 10 years old, but a hero from 10 years past. Terra, who performed the ritual on Riku 10 years prior. Wow.
Wow, haha. I love this song...introduced me to Hikki and all her magical music. Her music is so good it even makes sense backwards. She did make parts of Passion backward.
If I'm correct, this song- reversed, at least- tells the story of Riku. Judging by the start, 'Help me discard this bond' must mean something along the lines of him not wanting to be close to Sora and Kairi due to him turning to darkness, and the other lines consisting of 'sweet love' and '10 year old hero', mostly likely center towards Kairi (Seeing as one could easily tell that both Riku and Sora both have feelings for her), and Sora (As him being ten years old in the first game makes sense. Then, we move on to this 'Room'... Obviously, even the video states this well.. They're talking of Namine, and how each and every one of Sora's adventure's seem to be drawn, and placed on the wall. And it makes even more sense when it says 'Suddenly it's a real planet'. There are the other lyrics, which I'd be more than happy to dissect, but... I'd rather not make this longer than it already is. Though, if anyone wants me to try my hand at one...
Well, let's see... The next lyric that caught my interest was "Yeah see where Riku walks moving, He won't stop moving now". I believe that has something to do with KH 2, in that he ended up trying to stay one step ahead of Sora in order to help him. "Wasn't he in the Darkness?" It's quite obvious that this has something to deal with Riku being forced to stay beyond the door to the Realm of Darkness, of course. "Oh course, he is evil"... KH 1 has a lot to tie in with this. This is because he Is considered evil in that game (At least, by most. I personally think he was just desperate, and was manipulated). "I always thought I had your natural talent" Ohhh, don't tell me you don't get this one. This one has more emphasis towards the Keyblade than Riku, but it does tie in with his story. You see, In the games, it mentions that Riku was actually the first chosen to wield the Keyblade, but since he allowed darkness into him, it moved down the list. Then, after that, Sora was given it. "Is it hard to be him?" Well... This is a question worth answering: Yes. I mean, think about it. He not only was manipulated, and hates himself because of the shit he's done, but now, because of this, he fights a constant battle against Ansem... However, instead of a battle of body, it's a battle of the mind. Something he's never really done yet. "See it really is them". This might actually be a though Riku had... Perhaps he was surprised to run into Kairi and Sora? "Oh he miss back home" This is almost a universal lyric, as Riku and Sora haven't been back on Destiny Islands in... Years, most likely. By the start of KH 2, Riku is extremely homesick, more so than Sora (As he was asleep most of the time). ... And that's all I really got.
Same! Back before even BBS came out and all we had was that Kh2 Final Mix trailer, which we didn't even get in the United States! And you have a Rena profile pic, so this is a double dose of nostalgia for me haha!
It's so weird, it actually sounds like it's talking about Riku. Sanctuary does this, too... It also sounds like it's releasing crap tons of spoilers. This song was used in the first game. So, if it's listened to backwards, the audience would get mixed feelings and think about Riku, but also find a deeper meaning to it.
It would made more sense if "ten year old who will send ya a hero" was "ten years ago who will send ya a hero" because Sora was the hero and also Riku and Kairi, successor of Ven, Aqua and Terra because they were lost so Sora, Riku and Kairi can finish their (Wayfabder trio's) job.
even in reversed this song still catchy

The reversed lyrics make more sense with the series than the actual song played normally.

thats because it doesnt have reversed lyrics and you just projected them
@@Jourmand1r this song actually doesnt but the other one does - the writer even said they were put there on purpose
Forward: Sora's Story
Backwards: Riku's Story
I can see that.
Some of it is about Kairi
Septic Art still kind of confusing tho
It's like that for Sanctuary in Kingdom Hearts 2 also! I wonder if you play the game backwards?..........
I wanted to know that ever since I saw this video lol
So Simple in clean forward is Sora's feelings for Kairi, but backward it's Riku being seduced by Darkness.
Sanctuary forward is about Roxas sleeping in Sora to become whole. while Backward it's about Riku regretting he let the Darkness take him?
Hmmm intresting, so both songs forward are about Sora's love and backwards Riku's journey to except Sora's friendship.
man, with my buddy going to prison...Kingdom Hearts is hitting me more and more. Eppecially with all I go through.
boohoo for you
You just made everything make sense
emotrainer4444 i agree
But backwards it's garbled nonsense that just barely sounds like words that your brain puts together.
+Autistic Aniki Lmao then how am I listening to it right now without looking at the video, yet still able to know the exact words being said?
The "sit down and sleep" part gets me...I totally hear that and it sounds beautiful too.
the subtitles make you hear it, dummy
"running endlessley in a room
suddenly its a real planet, oh
in a room"
Chain of Memories
Hearing this and the reversed sanctuary just made me love this game a lot more than i already do
even reversed it still sounds sweet and beautiful
I love the English, Japanese, and reversed version of Simple and Clean and Sanctuary. I never knew I could enjoy songs in so many different versions lol
you should listen it in spanish... so beautiful
@@Sherry-i2vthey have Spanish versions?

aricente Ja maybe you right but it's funny you don't see it like that too

Most makes sense
isnt that sanctuary?
Thats not true.lol theres words you can actually here and understand.
These lyrics sorta summarized KH1 and KH2.
And a bit of CoM
+amr mohamed Sanctuary is about CoM
See eth.
@@pastelmoon4534its supposed to be "Seethe" which means "Filled with intense but unexpressed anger."
that actually sums it all up and this is about Riku, Kairi, Sora, Heartless, and Ansem
Simple and Clean was written for Kingdom Hearts 1, and yet when reversed, it seems like it talks about events that won't happen until Chain of Memories or even Birth By Sleep! That is freaking mind blowing!!!
It’s actually catchy in its own way backwards
Weird how this fits perfectly with the video even reversed.
he edited the video to fit the lyrics.

+yes18iscool My bad. Didn't bother to check.
Okay, I see that is edited now. Actually I do not even remember posting this comment lol
Well actually sqare Eniqox wanted to do this and Sony with Lenovo so yea duh of course their that dam technical
I'll always love this video. Shows deeper meaning of Riku and the bond he shares with Sora and Kairi. ❤️
The only problem I have with this is the fact that none of them are ten years old.
Fair enough
Obviously not ten
It would be quite the stretch to say that the year old could be referring to the time in between Kh and BBS.
Maybe the ten years thing is the time gap between KH1 and BBS since there's like ten years between the two games (I think)
I was 10 when I got the game and beat it. Could it be about the player??? (I'm joking but I still think that's a neat idea lol)
Seeing Sora and Kairi dance together warms my heart, ah..young love
it's funny because in any other context youd be a pedo
A ten year old hero. Not literally a hero who's 10 years old, but a hero from 10 years past. Terra, who performed the ritual on Riku 10 years prior. Wow.
This sounds way less intentional than Sanctuary but it's still cool
1:12 to 1:16 sounds so beautiful 💔 and the little flashback of Riku and Sora just adds to the feels for me. 😭
Same !

backwards its pretty sad :
"Is it hard to be him ?"
I was looking for this one for the longest! cuz dizydaisy's interpretation made the most sense to me
Riku: How am I supposed to face them
Sora:like this 😋

Wow, haha. I love this song...introduced me to Hikki and all her magical music. Her music is so good it even makes sense backwards. She did make parts of Passion backward.
i think its crazy how when reversed the song mentions Riku
I love how the meaning to the song forwards is about not wanting a marriage... backwards makes sense with this meaning... sorta
Still here damn

ZODDism I think that he was supposed to be 10 in the first game butt changed it because of his more murture aditude
Will Kelty no that's wrong both sora and kairi are 14
I love more simple & clean reversed than normal
It's almost spooky...yet cool at the same time!
Came back and it still here. I love it as always.
so many scenes I have either never seen or don't remember
Jackson Brooks if u wanna refresh on the series they made an HD remake of all the games on ps4 in one disc
It actually sounds really good
This is an odd bop, not gonna lie
any song in reversed has hidden sense.
and this song in reversed should be called hard and dirty.
wouldnt it be difficult and dirty?
difficult or hard does not matter.
Technically, it'd be "Complex and Dirty", since "complex" and "simple" are antonyms....
legend says that people still hear anything so long as there’s visual aids to direct it. (subtitles)
That is why we can understand Donald.
Running endlessly in a room makes you want to cry
Suddenly it's a real planet! In a room!
Huh the reversed make much more sense and contains the plot too
Right?
Soran Kuchiki Cool
cammie davis I don't get it cri
Cammie Davis who would've thought
this song is one of the few reversed songs that are still beautiful wtf
you should listen to Your Blood by Aurora in reverse... trust me the harmonies in reverse is so pretty
This video has done damage to my psyche. No one EVER say this fandom wasn’t going crazy trying to find evidence for anything.
It's talking about Chain of Memories. Mind blown.
Good song even in reverse.
Congrats for not insulting him and forcing hatred. People like you make UA-cam a better website.
Its sooo beautiful *-*
tht was frickin awesome dude!
I love this version reversed! Its better than the normal version
The melody is so beautiful backwards O.O
I like your lyrics, better than some I've seen. And I like how you matched scenes with the backwards lyrics.
its surprising that the reversed version actually has real words, and it kinda sounds good too :D
I think its more like "Help me escape these bonds".
I still shed a tear when it's backwards
OMG this song has lyrics once again even reversed! O.O
This is amazing...I think they should do this for when they make a videogame about the Keyblade Wars.
this is beautiful, I love it!!
I loved this when kingdom hearts came out man I missed hearing this trying to figure out a true meaning .
Same! Back before even BBS came out and all we had was that Kh2 Final Mix trailer, which we didn't even get in the United States!
And you have a Rena profile pic, so this is a double dose of nostalgia for me haha!
Oh my gosh, Hey! It HAS been years :D I remember you no doubt about it
ten years ago, terra made riku a hero. 5 months later reply...
they should've put this when your starting to play in riku story
yes
I listen to this song backwards and forwards as if they were seperate songs.
Omg i love the part when its saying Riku is EVIL >:D its cool how they linked it backwards to the game ^3^
Beatifull , simple and clear is a especial music.
I like how it's Simple and Clean backwards but the video is Sanctuary... xD
namine saying the stuff -claps- EVERYDAY I CAN DECODE.
It's so weird, it actually sounds like it's talking about Riku.
Sanctuary does this, too...
It also sounds like it's releasing crap tons of spoilers. This song was used in the first game. So, if it's listened to backwards, the audience would get mixed feelings and think about Riku, but also find a deeper meaning to it.
omg thank god u recovered this one!!
This actually doesn’t sound that bad! some of these actually sound like it isn’t reversed, it’s cool
WOW i just got mind blown, who knows maybe is an indirect easter egg?
RoXaSXIII Its riku's story when the song is reversed. Its obviously meant to be like that.
I know the comment is 6months old.
The backwards lyrics make so much sense!
Suddenly its a real planet, oh in a room
wut
chain of Memories?
Help me escape fun...all I need is utter sweet love
the song now makes Morse sense to me with 0.2 BBS now out.
For some reason I actually prefer the reversed Sanctuary over the reversed Simple & Clean. O -o
Maybe because reverse sanctuary actually has a backwards, meaning, nothing in this video seemed clear like in that, it sounded like guess work to me
Sanctuary had no backwards meaning
It does, the line I need for affection than you’ll know is intentional, I don’t know what for tho XD
This is so weird... I LOVE IT! It's so catchy!
I love this. this was really great
2:39 position???
dont know why but this feels like it went thru KH, KH chain of memories, KH2 and KH3D
woah :D never thought of that! This game is complicated and i love it :D
still convinced riku is ansem.
Intentional or not, it still sounds awesome.
i like this song backwards :3 it's kinda cool how she did this..i would have never guess :3
Only a kingdom hearts song could be fully reversed and still sound relevant to the plot lol.
Running, running endlessly, in a room?
WHEEEEEEEEEE! CUPCAKES!
Great that beat is gonna be stuck in my head now lol sounds funny to me for some reason, so jumpy and happy
Epic stuff! It's highly amusing.
Oh and added to UA-cam on my b'day - score! XD
man even in reverse this song is awesome x_x
What is this complex and dirty song...?
i dont think the reversed version means anything, most of the interpretations of the reversed lyrics are a stretch.
Riku's not evil. He was just misguided, and he returns to the light. It happens to all of us.
I need to download this ASAP.
This was really cool :D
That was the entire series in one song!
This is spectacular
its a secret message!!! awesome!!!
This is song is amazing. Even backwards!!!
