The magnetic removable panel covers the screw holes that are used with retaining brackets. A lot of previous gen cards had them too so cases with retaining brackets could screw them in and prevent sag and stop the card jumping out of the slot.
With my MSI 3090 in a Lian Li Dynamic XL, I dropped like 5 or 6c when I moved it to vertical. Because of its size, when horizontal, the heat was getting out the side was hitting the glass and getting trapped below the card. Then when I moved to vertical, the bottom 3 fans helped push the warm air up to the top 3 fans. Looking at the 4090s, it seems it's a must again as they will be so close to the glass, and the heat will build up unless you have an oversized case. I think the 4090s with as much open on its back plate is the way to go, the heat can pass through and up.
I would love to see a comparison video between the Aib's and FE. Also an underclocking the 4090 video would be great for everyone who may be power conscious. how low can you crank it down without losing much performance.
I predict that these adapter cables might melt in high power OC builds with old PSUs. The power will most likely not be pulled equally from all four cables, so some of them will most likely overheat under full load. I would recommend waiting for the next gen PSUs... 40-series seems like a bad idea. The transition to the 12 -pin power connector is overdue, but that splitter will most likely cause a lot of problems in the future. I rather wait for the next series.

@@RBK_3 I don't want to use Nvenc, if I did I'd just use my 3080 Ti for that. It does work really well as is, but it hinders performance in-game slightly and the output result on stream is often blurry in action scenes/events such as flicks on csgo etc. The software renderer is just significantly better for a crisp, sharp and clean result, unfortunately this means a strong CPU is needed. Here in New Zealand it would cost me significantly more to build a dedicated streaming PC so the best option is just to buy a 13900K or 12900KS and utilize the E-cores for OBS while the P-cores handle the gaming.

Hello @PC Centric, I have a question and i hope that you can address my query. I recently bought an Asus RX 6600 without knowing it would bottleneck with my current CPU which is Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core. What can you suggest for a better compatibility with my GPU? Do I need to purchase a new CPU and Mobo?
PS: I am on a tight budget I hope that you can suggest a cheaper range.
Thank you!
