I mean... Fair, but it's not many story where spiderman kills mj though radiation poisoning while trying to have a baby... In the context I would say pretty tragic 😅
I hate that this is simply known to many as the "spider splooge" story. It's so much deeper than that and as a Spiderman fan I really really liked how this story portrayed the aging up of certain characters and their relationship with Spiderman
I like how Kane Andrews took the most realistic approach to Peter's love life in this story. If his blood is radioactive then by proxy his semen would be radioactive too. I just find it interesting that in the 616 main continuity, Peter has numerous love interests, and this scenario never happens to any of them. But honestly, I feel like having irradiated semen killing a lover is a plot point more suited for a Hulk story since Bruce Baner has much more radiation in his body than Peter Parker does.
I mean if it doesn’t kill Peter… it makes more sense that his radioactive semen mutates his liver like him or it’s just transferred to his kid. If his radiation could kill someone, he’d be dead
Hey man I just think the thought of dying to radioactive nut is so fudangeling ridiculous that it breaks emersion lmao. Like damn that's some parody ass material right there
Awesome video! I’ll give this story another try. I couldn’t get into it when it first came out years ago, it was just too different from the spider man I was used to
I liked the story the way Rob presented it. It works with the twists and turns. As a longtime Spider-man fan, I wish I could have creative control from Marvel to make a Spider-Man story.
Is always Spider-man always Peter Parker that suffering with that infinity and infinite endless pain of suffering doing the right no matter what alternate universe Dimension and of multiverses
I remember getting this comic back in the day. I also remember the reprint they made that edited out a certain thing that may or may not have been deemed appropriate for comics.
This video did this comic justice because every reference you made before made this story out to be just a bad joke about him killing MJ with his toxic fluids
Off topic but you should definitely give Straight outta Latveria a shoutout. It’s essentially a channel where Dr doom has his own UA-cam channel and it’s a lot of fun, I’d love to see it grow more and be recognized. Glory to Latveria!
🕸️Rob covering one of my favorite comics the day before my birthday? What could be better. My cousin had this back when it first came out and in reading it I got super engrossed in darker comics and Spider-Man in general. 🕸️
i am assuming this is an elseworld story and in this timeline venom never really hid his arc, he just kind of kept spiraling downward living his worst life
i was on holiday in africa nad my mate had this in his car. I couldnt put it down, once i got back to my country I immediately purchased it for myself and read it again. This comic is absolutely worth a read, Kaare Andrews is an amazing writer and the imagery in this comic see @7:33 is just amazing.
I hate it, it’s not the Spider-Man I like, but it’s the one I think we all deserve. A real hero to the end in spite of all his challenges (old age, comrades, etc). If I read this on my own, this is a story I’d be crying over while reading
I think what annoys me is people laugh but that's just a small portion of the story. Like, yes, his sperm would be a part of the equation but likely a smaller portion. How many times would MJ come into contact with his blood when helping clean him up after big fights? Just kissing alone, even quick pecks on the lips. Every little gesture one does for the person they love was inching them closer to death and neither knew about it. People who just run with the 'radioactive spider jizz' portion just tell on themselves how immature they are.
If he kills Paul first, I'll forgive Spiderman for whoever else he kills. Edit* I mean Paul, not Peter. I should have gone to sleep sooner and wrote this comment in the morning.
Seeing how peter was a teen when the avengers were all adults (at least most of the main ones), and now he is a very old man. Its not hard to presume that all the other avengers are dead at that point.

So... _Tuesday?_

This made me giggle like a school girl
Hi, i didn't thought about seeing you here. How are you?
2:10 “This old guy didn’t fight off 3 men with a broken arm. How morally bankrupt of him. How could he?”
The girl was sandman daughter
That could be foreshadowing on her knowing Peter is the spider and a reason (sandman) for her to know
Spider-Man went for a very enthusiastic walk and asked schmucks how's their health plans.
Apparently it was great.
Eyyyy, Hellsing abridged reference
Underrated comment 😂
Spider-Man: Reign was really incredible with very dark moments there were more than a few scenes and shots that made me get all choked up 😢
At last, someone who agrees with me

Yeah, honestly if they're gonna make these guys radioactive, then a whole lot more people need to be getting checked for tumors.
Very Watchmen esque

That was an amazing story, as always, beautifully told. As with all Spiderman stories, there is a lot of humanity in it.

I'm glad you finally covered this story. It brought a tear to my eye at the end.
Thank you for creating these explanation videos. Your explanations give more depth to the comics that i have read.
No matter how many spiderman stories there are, you can't go wrong with 1 more

'YOU WOULDN'T LIKE ME WHEN I GET ANGRY' - SPIDER-MAN
One of my favourite stories, as depressing as it is. Thank you.
That J Jonah Speech, the art, and the styled socks for Peter made this story insanely iconic and memorable to me.

"Spiderman: The Dark Spider Returns"

Kinda 😅
So basically the exact opposite of One More Day.
So basically
SpiderMan meets V for Vendetta
I owned this one .. I knew nothing about it . I gravitated to how dark the cover was & I want ready for the story. I was 12 I think 🤯
