That was my homeboy that got killed 😕
Used to ride Marta in the 99-00’s and 2010’s. Ride it periodically now. Marta is more unkempt and more dangerous than I’ve ever seen it. It used to be just west line was shady but now It’s not safe for students and commuters throughout

Officers on the train....yeah right! I've worked next to a MARTA station, lived next to a MARTA station, groceries, Dr.'s appointments, and entertainment for 14 years. I rarely see an officer on the train. When I do see them they are playing on their phones or you will see them at Five Points in a group of 5 or 6 just standing around. Anyone who does not believe me...can ride a lot for about 2 weeks and they will see the truth. Smoking is rampant on platforms and sometimes even on trains. I think the smoking is indicative of the lack of respect for others and order.
OFFICERS AT HOLMES ARE PARKED ACROSS THE STREETS FROM THE STATION. THERE ARE NO OFFICERS THAT PATROL MARTA TRAINS. I SAW TO YOUNG GUYS SMOKE BLUNTS AND HARKED AND SPIT ON THE TRAIN ALL THE WAY TO FIVE POINTS.. THE OFFICERS DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON MARTA..
