I’m so sad too.😢 I just picked back up as a 2nd time beginner and found her and she was teaching me so much with her precious and sweet personality and ways. This was soooo tragic, it stopped in my tracks when I found out the news that she passed a couple of weeks ago. No words can express how sorry I am for her and her family. The world lost a beautiful soul, a fabulous creator, and an overall positive light on these UA-cam streets. Wishing her husband and children some peace in knowing how much their mother and wife was loved, and how our creations will live on because of her. RIP Melanie 🙏❤️😞❤️🙏

What sad news, I found Melanie, 7 years ago as I started my quilting journey, I have followed her faithfully ever since. She was so inspiring I started to crochet. I loved Melanie, what a good soul she was for us all. Thanks to her family for sharing her with us all. God bless and Rest In Peace.

Listen up folks, everything she says in this video is SPOT ON! I’m a beginner, I started with a simple winter headband. Yes, it was wonky, but I still wear it because you really can’t tell, lol. I chose a speckled yarn, WRONG! My shoulders were tight and so were my stitches, lol. I’ve since moved on to Amigurumi, which is done in rounds instead of rows. I’m getting so much better with practice, it doesn’t take long. Listen to this video! It really will give you the best start.

I just discovered her cannel and decided to watch her granny square video because I needed help making one and she was such a good teacher!
I started to scroll through the comments and someone said "missing Melanie" in the middle of there comment and I was confused so I looked at her channel.
The moment I found out about her passing I cried for 5 hours straight.

I am finally able to watch a Mel video with the sound up. I made her boxy bag but I flicked through and had the sound off as I wasn't ready to hear her or to say goodbye. This video got me re-interested in crocheting again after more than 25 years. Melanie taught me so much with quilting, when this first video popped I remember thinking I wanted to relearn crocheting. Her warm, engaging personality always made me think I could absolutely do all these projects. I will always be grateful for finding this channel so many years ago and learning so many tips and tricks to help me enjoy my crafting hobbies. She will be missed. She was a beauty from when I was a very young age. The first time I saw her videos I subscribed immediately. I believe she had around 11k subscribers when I first subscribed! There are no words to express how sad I was to hear about Melanie. The tears won’t seem to stop. I’ve always wanted to learn to quilt and Melanie taught me through her youtube channel. So very sorry to hear the news of Melanie’s passing. It’s odd that someone I’ve never met could have such an impact on my life. I haven’t been crocheting very long, maybe two years. She’s the one who got me started. I love her videos! Her sweet spirit, calmness, and confidence in her teaching tutorials drew me to love the stress-relief, way-better-and-cheaper-than-any-therapy hobby I’ve discovered in crocheting. Prayers spoken for her family in these devastating days, weeks, and months ahead learning to live without her earthly presence. Certainly an earthly loss, but heaven gain. She will be forever missed and I will continue to learn from her for the rest of my days.

How many people çan say they've touched so many people worldwide. This is an amazing legacy that I hope bring even a small comfort to her children and husband at this very sad time. to Melanie's family: I was not sure where to post so I decided to post here where I met Melanie the first time...on her UA-cam channel. I just want to THANK YOU for sharing this MOST BEAUTIFUL 'CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE' via live streaming for all of us who loved her here on UA-cam! It was a very moving yet very uplifting ceremony of a beautiful, sweet, and loving woman. I think I felt this pull towards her from the beginning not only because I shared her love of crafting, especially that of crochet, but because she was part of our 'military family'. I did not know this until today. I am a retired US Air Force wife of almost 30 years so I know full well the ups and downs of military life, a life not to be chosen by the faint of heart, I might add. THANK YOU both for your love of country, your service, and your devotion to thousands of us here on her channel. I am 72 and have many many years of needlearts under my belt, but I always found something to learn through Melanie. She is such a true inspiration to so many in so many ways. May God bless you all and much love to your beautiful Melanie who I also know is sitting by our Lord probably crocheting some beautiful blankets of gold for God's angels! :)

I found Melanie’s channel in 2013. And haven’t stopped sewing or crocheting since. Watching these videos will pause time for me. She will always look like this to me. Earth feels a little more empty for me. But she made a change in my life and I’ll always be thankful ❤️
