Matt was on the Australian idol track to becoming a star but thankfully decided he didn’t want or need their BS .. he’s an independent artist and started his own record label. He can play about 8 instruments and one of his albums he actually does every instrument and vocals himself for the whole album. He was born a musician !
The call/vocal flip you’re so impressed with is very much evoking native Australian birdsong. Every time I hear the intro to this song I’m transported to the Australian bush. What an incredible gift he has… and yes, virtually unmatched in vocal dexterity
