Great tutorial! I think it's on the dorian scale though. Also the lyrics are "Yes I am!" not "Gets around!" Otis had what's known as an intrusive "R" and sang "Yes I(R)am!" just like some people say "Law(R)and order", "The idea(R)of it", How(R)old is he?" etc.. Other singers imitate him because they think it sounds cool!

I’ve watched 3 videos on how to play this song and each one plays it differently. Lol
nice lesson, but PLEASE in all you videos (I don't see it in any....)., play the entire piece through once at speed. at the beginning, at the end, doesnt' matter. it's really hard to put the tiny blocks in context without having the entire piece to refer too. tks

There's two guitar parts, one is in open G the other is in standard.
Open G. I can't find that anywhere where that song uses an open G.

slash2jimi i know right? worst way to play the rhythm parts of the song, then says this solo is "rough, not note for note" (learn it then, some of us want to learn the actual song correctly) doesnt even attempt the last solo so we look elseware for that, but lets all clap because shes a woman
