Looks great! You can also make the videos autoplay when you click to the slide and select just a certain clip of the song. I do this and use youtube clips of songs. They are usually just a short, few seconds. For example, when we get to the tricky word part of CKLA I play a clip of the man line from the song Tricky by RUN DMC and the kids enjoy grooving to it. Then when I introduce my spelling words, I play a clip of the main line of "ABC" from the Jackson 5. Right before we have a spelling test I play, "let's get ready to rumble!" And I say, "let's get ready to spell something!!". My kiddos love it!

I have to use nearpod and sometimes pear deck for interaction purposes. We’re transitioning to hybrid learning (me teaching face-to-face and virtually) next week and I am quite nervous to say the least. My school is very outdated, especially with technology😩. Hopefully, the remote for slides will work for me.

Thank you for your honesty. I am a very positive person who believes in the power of prayer and the Word of God. I have been feeling so disheartened and not prepared despite the number of hours I spend planning before school, after school, and during the weekends. I started a support group for remote/virtual teachers at my school. We all feel as if we are not part of our individual teams. We have to stick together and provide support for one another during these critical times. I will be purchasing your slides as well. This will make life much easier for me as well as my students/families. I look forward to your next video. Thanks!!!
Honey, let me tell you. I understand. Some days I didn't think I was going to survive. We are making it by the Grace of God. No day is perfect and some days are better than others. I agree so much with all the outside planning. This has definitely been a STRESSFUL school year so far. I know the feeling of not feeling part of a team. That's so awesome that you started that! Just found your channel and loved all the transitions, the graphics, the interactive videos,and how you are filming 😀. You look great. You are looking right at me 😆. How did you learn how to do these, what software are you using to edit your videos and are you filming yourself with a tripod or is someone there helping ? So good! I work in a school different profession though, would love to get the nerve to do this for my colleagues. They always are asking tech tips and want videos😲. Girl....you Rock. Great minds think alike. I use Google slides also. My kids love counting to 100 with Jack H. CAN'T stop the feeling is our favorite song. Every Fun Friday we do Storyline online!!! Love it!! How often do you change transition songs? Does the seasonal octave have links to songs and videos?
It just depends on my students and their vibe. Sometimes all year, sometimes every nine weeks. It just depends on the group. You have to insert the videos through Google Slides. ((HUGS))
Hello Miss May!! So I purchased your product on TpT. I had one question, is it possible to have an extra slide for Math? I REALLY love your clipart but I teach 2nd grade and our Math consists of whole group this year, I don't have a need for the "Number of the Day" slide and cannot edit it to remove that heading. Can you change that part? I have been using slides for a few years now to guide my instruction and believe that yours will be more attention-grabbing for my students. Thank you for the product! Miss May, you are my new friend! I am teaching 1st Grade for the first time this year, (after years of teaching other grades), and I am so excited that you have so many wonderful and inspirational videos to guide me. My question is this pretty please, obviously our main focus in the classroom is ELA and Math but how and when do you incorporate Science and SS? (You might have already discussed this in a previous video and my newness to your channel just hasn't made it that far yet and if so I apologize)! Everything is different for me this year and I am just trying to be as prepared as I possibly can. I will be at a private school so Religion will also be incorporated, (which I love but also interrupts the teaching schedule I've always known). Any guidance and suggestions would be appreciated. So, one thing that was a game changer for me was inserting videos into my slides. Do you ever use this feature to insert your backgrounds? I love it because it takes out all of the ads.

Hi, sunshine! Click on the slide you want to add the text. Next, click on the t inside the square. Then, place the text box on the slide and type you word. You can make the word as big in size as you would like too. ((Hugs))

I stumbled on your vid and I was blessed by your caring personality, and IMPRESSED by your skills! You warmed my heart this morning. I teach 7th and 8th history and have been struggling for the last two months. I recently did my first two nearpod lessons and THAT took me two months to work my way up to the getting it together. I'd never done a zoom or used Google Classroomfor assignments before the first day of school. I'm "old school" to the max...30 years in and 3.5 years away from retirement. They say, "You can't teach and old dog new tricks." Well even though I'm an old dog, I CAN learn new tricks! I just takes me 5x longer than you youngsters;)
