I never realized characters had different time for inputs!? I always use Savina she’s so incredibly powerful!! I never saw any difference with my time inputting attacks.. I guess I just really get in the zone and input super quickly..
I found a noticable difference between Savyna, who was quick to jump in and strike, compared to Gibari who lumbered up to the enemy before striking, giving more time to input the next card. Magic casters also had a longer amount of time to decide what to choose next as the spell animations generally ran longer than the animations of physical attacks. I recently finished the game, and would always shuffle my party to keep levels equal and often got caught only getting one attack in with Savyna, because I'd spend too much time deciding on the next card. Haha.
My party for difficult fighs is Kalas, Xelha, and Gibari. Still use Savyna regularly despite her huge drawback of a shorter time window cause I like her a lot.
I have a huge crush on Savyna. 🏳️🌈 I agree she is the most difficult to play and belongs in the lowest tier but I still practiced and always kept her in my party. 🤭 Kalas, Xelha, and Savyna were my golden trio. Lyude, Gibari and Mizuti were my silver trio. Played both of these games so many times I have lost count. It is a staple game my brothers and I all love and enjoyed playing. Thanks! Yeah If you’re looking for a similar play through then follow the list. Baten Kaitos doesn’t necessarily have bad characters. Just characters that require more from the player.
That's literally how I played Baten Kaitos, with Kalas, Lyude and Savyna as the team. Game felt pretty easy. Maybe I'll get the remaster and play again.
I put Gabari in 3rd becuse of his defensive abilaty. Suprised you didn't mention Kalas and Gibari being the only 2 who can use their weapons defensively.
I always used Mizuti and Xelha in the team for 100% elemental coverage. Xelha: Light, Water and Wind element Mizuti: Dark, Fire and Chronos element The 3th spot was always optional. Kalas seams an obvious choice but I hate him for many reasons in the game
I've enjoyed watching most of your videos so far, but you really shouldn't put characters in shit tier just for being executionally difficult if they're powerful once you learn how to use them. Shit-tier is for characters who are, as the name implies, utter dogshit with few if any redeeming qualities. Savyna being hard to use for beginners doesn't make her shit, especially if she can lockdown most encounters once mastered.
I love Baten Kaitos so much. I can't wait for the re-release. Great list, my party always ends up Kalos Xelha and Lyude.
