THIS. The B roll on this video was stunning AF. It looked like a set shot TV commercial Sam, stunning. I've really enjoyed watching you get better every year. Looking forward to the next adventures!

Can't believe that someone bought a boring basic 911 instead of an Alfa QV
@O 99 go drive a basic 992 and let us know
@O 99 That's just the mindset Germans want everybody to have. :)
Not everybody agrees having a Porsche badge implies all those arguments.
As an example, better tech maybe on the infotainment system, definitely not on the engine.
@O 99 Let's see...
You assume Alfa's V6 to be unreliable (based on what?)
You assume Porsche (learn to write it properly) have an ultra reliable 911 engine (based on what?)
You assume that Ferrari engines were never better than Porsche's. (based on what?)
You assume all that, and you call *me* a biased Italian fanboy?
Answering your question, I prefer to leave the pathetic trolling attempts to kids, basically because I'm not one anymore. :)
And actually Ferrari engines have been constantly better than Porsche's* since many years.
You say that the 911 is an ultra reliable engine when there have been in fact several reliability problems with 911 engines for the past years.
You also call unreliable to Alfa's V6 that contrary to the 911 engine, hasn't yet proven to be unreliable.
You should also know that the original V8 from where this V6 comes from is, according to many, the best V8 in the world. ...and imagine that, not made by Porsche. :)
It's the Ferrari F154 and has won multiple engine awards for the last years (basically since it came out). Also, this Alfa's V6 was designed by the very same engineer that designed the F154 engine. He seems to be working at Alfa-Romeo since FCA created a team to design and create the Giulia and the Giorgio platform.
.
* I personally would pick Ferrari over Porsche technology any day. Porsche - and every other brand for that matter - almost always need bigger and heavier engines to achieve the same levels of power. This opinion is based on car history, where Ferrari engines are frequently amongst the best performance engines for their capacity / weight.
Due to clever marketing, people's mind are stuck in the 70's and 80's where German cars were typically more reliable than others, and Italian usually worse.
Now (for the past 20/25 years I would say) is actually the other way around. German cars are still well built and solid, but not anymore in terms of mechanical reliability.
The best way to learn about reliability is to look at maintenance figures from car leasing companies.
@O 99 Don't worry too much. Hopefully you will eventually grow up become wiser and learn to actually look for data instead of beliefs.
@@miks564 he won't. Probably his father drives a Porsche Cayenne. It's the same thing with the JDM fanboys, blind belief over facts.
I own a giulia and the interior is one of my favorite parts it’s so simplistic and sleek looking
yep, thats the best part, easy to eye, and no too much buttons ala Volvo and no ugly tablet in middle of dashboard ala germans
Many of those disliking the Giulia / Stelvio interior, in reality what they dislike is the lack of a German badge on the outside
How is the giulia in the snow?
*Yes mate! This was a great trip, attire colour coding is on point with you and Emma lol. Gonna get editing my video this weekend. Great meeting you! Good luck with drive the world dude!*
Great video Sam. I really appreciate the honesty you bring to your channel. Also the editing and dynamics between you and Emma were great.
This gives me 4C vibes haha, good times
RIP THE 4C
Could you imagine this engine in the 4c..

seriously ! check out my feature with the 4c on my channel such a fun little car
Scotland in the fall. WOW! Thanks for the amazing videography.
Great video Sam, glad you raised this topic in your video and also excited to see more of the Stelvio throughout your journey!
Scotland looks absolutely beautiful. Phenomenal video quality production Sam, keep it up mate!
Great production in this video, top notch camera work and music. Also, Emma is a gem, and you two seem to get on great. Would love to see more events where you two team up.
I see Sam’s sporting the “where’s Wally” look 🤣🤣
Cinematography was spot on! Scotland looks awesome, thanks for sharing Sam
What a great video Sam! I can’t wait to see what’s still to come!
Loved this video and as always great editing! 👌 Looking forward to your Drive the World Series to start! 💥
The colours in this video are beautiful! You really have a knack for capturing the environment perfectly. I love this channel ❤
What a quality in this video! Epic shots of the nature, the road, the car... and Emma 😉
I live in Canada, have a stelvio QV and absolutely LOVE IT, would highly recommend it.
You and Emma look amazing together!
You have too keep doing stuff together.
...as for the car, the 911T is a superb car, but you know what?...,it’s another 911.
The Stelvio Q feels like a much more special beast.
Nice step up in the filming and editing quality! :) This video actually stands out! Keep up the great content! :D
I know I’m late to this party, but thought I’d still chime in. I own both a Giulia Q and a Stelvio Ti. Dynamically these cars are AMAZING!! I think the thing they lack, that he struggled to put his finger on, is a sense of theater. Whether or not most admit it, those little cheesy things like electric telescoping steering wheels or elaborate wake up of the digital dash, give that sense of occasion in other vehicles and connect you with the experience. The interiors of both of these cars are beautiful. They just lack that element.
The shots for this vid was awesome! Great filming/editing
Those are quite some amazing scenaries and incredible editing. Something big is coming!
I miss your 4c
Well, General, it's March 2019 and Alfa's just said this is the last year for the slow-selling, little runt 4c.
But, it's also your chance to "put your money where your mouth is": Dealers are slashing prices for the only car sold in USA without PS. Go for it.
Sam you do a Great job Bruhda!! Love your Channel, keep up the good work, saying Hi from Michigan, U.S.!!!!!!
Mate! The video quality is outstanding!!! It felt like I was there with you!
I've driven those roads- Absolutely epic! Fell in love with my Porsche again unleashing it on these roads.
ellisd82 where abouts are these roads located, wouldn’t mind going myself
Near Glen Eagles. There is the A85 that runs from Crieff round loch Earn to Lochearnhead, amazing fast sweeping road. Then the road and waterfalls shown in the video is A827 from Killin to Kenmore. I normally stay at Duchally estate and do a round trip.
Why didn't you choose a Giulia Quadrifoglio with a roofbox though?
Because the 911T was an alternative... How can you say no to a 911?
I mean,I'd choose the Giulia, looks as good, sounds better, goes faster AND it's Italian
Because he's driving around the world, not around the block... #AlfaReliability
@@joesinclair21 I've owned 2 Alfas over the course of 10 years and only one relatively minor problem to report. The whole Italian/Alfa poor reliability was certainly around in the 70s and 80s but various improvements have been made since. It's just people who have never owned an Alfa that keep the bad reputation alive. I'm not for one minute trying to say they're the most reliable cars in the world because the Japanese manufacturers take that crown, but they definitely aren't unreliable.
@@joesinclair21 ....way to go tool....drink the German Kool Aid.......FORZA ALFA BABY !!!!
Wow, production quality is stunning! So is the scenery for that matter!
Hey Sam,
Loyal subscriber here!!
Helicopter ride-I understand your concern not to go up (or crash) but having been on many rides the views are gorgeous and for me I really enjoy the diff perspective and those see forever views!!
Stelvio Quadrifoglio - A powerfully quick & fast mid sized SUV...Why NOT???!!! I LOVE to drive spiritedly in a safe manner.
I just missed out on buying a Benz GLC 63S. I live in Vancouver Canada where it rains 5 months out of the yr and to have that Power & AWD (4-Matic) traction all under control is so much fun!!
I don't need to tow a boat, jet skis, camper etc and I seldom bring 3 adults with luggage and/or full golf clubs so a large SUV in not a priority.
Having a sporty vehicle for our winters (it snows 4 or 5 times /season and stays for 1 or 2 weeks) that handles the corners and can zip around town in non-winter conditions is what I need.
It sounds that the Stelvio could be a fit.
I'll check it out this week.
There was never huge OMG Buzz around this vehicle (unlike the RR Sport SVR, Lambo Urus, GLE 63, X5M & X6M, Cayenne Turbo, etc) which led me to be tardy in taking it for a drive.
Thx for the Vid Sam- Luv the interaction with you & other tubers.
Cheers from Vancouver, Canada:-)
Keep up the GREAT work Sam-its much appreciated:-)
Another masterpiece of filming and editing skills!
Editing is so on point camera angles and transition of music
Quality content, as always! 👌🏻
The videography skills you got mate 🙌 bravo !!!
A video with 2 of my 3 favourite car you tubers and a Alfa.
Great way to start the weekend.
I do agree with you on the Stelvio, i would have a Giulia over it every time.
Keep up the great work.
Video quality getting maaaad bro! Keep it up
very high quality video, thank you
Is it just me or did the quality just take another step up? Sick video Sam!!
Stunning videography Sam! Definitely would've liked to see you in an Alfa QV but the porsche isn't half bad
I LOVE that car! Stelvio Q and Giulia are amazing. They handle great, they look great and they are unique. For me much better than the German rivals. Personal preference i guess. German cars seem boring in comparison to those Italian masterpieces :)
Seen Through Glass make the best video and editing ever! Hats off mate!
Amazingly shot vid
Hey Man! Really nice content! Next time at 13:00 , you should put camera movments, it really could transform the "end" in the "End" :), because also you're at the end of the video :)
Btw the footage of the land and the car itself, it's really something next level.. never expected that coming! Keep it up the work! ^_^
How do you not have more subscribers, insane quality mate
What I like about your videos Sam is every commentary is totally different unlike many of the others that use the same word set in front of a different car.
@Seen Through Glass Sam! What part of Scotland in? Some Stunning scenery!
Awesome video as always Sam, I think the 911 was a great choice 👍
Sam! Mate... Production Quality on point!! Great video... Hope to see more of the same...
Your content is next level Sam!
Great video and quality level conversation with a fellow petrol chic. Stelvio seems like the most practical SUV with a perfect blend of sportiness and comfort. But the 911T properly suits you. Congrats Sam!!!
I don't know about UK prices, but that 911T is about $40k more than the Stelvio QV in the US. It should be "better"!
Is that the dam that Hamond drove the Landrover Defender on??? Looks like it.
fredrik juhlin Nahh that one is in Mid Wales. This one does look like it though!
Hammond drive up the Elan Valley Dam
this color grading is on point!!!
Great video...What's the Rock music playing at times in the background?
Incredible filming Sam :)
What a amazing content. The footage although. Congrats Sam 🇧🇷
Sam another stunning video. Well done, excellent content. Being a huge an Alfa fan though, I wish you were driving the world in an Italian chariot!
Q) why did you not get a left hand drive car to drive the world as it would suit most of the world?
After all as you said its a car you'll be stick for quite some time so it absolutely should make you want to drive it every day. Sure the Quadrifoglio might be in some point the more logical choice but after all the 911T is more exciting and probably gives you more smiles.
A pic of Emma for the thumbnail would be worth at least a million views.
for not doing this i respect sam so much!
That's what makes him different 👏
Nice guys finish last...

great video cant wait to see what happens with the porsche
Stunning video Sam. Really nicely shot and edited. If there's any way you can get even 50% of this quality on #roundtheworld it will be amazing.
Those white support Stelvio's we kept seeing on the horizon or in the background reminded me of The Prisoner...
Great video, you both work well together :)
Are you sure the safety features come from Chrysler? Alfa has gone on record saying nothing is from Chrysler and the the software was developed from Magnetti Marelli
Magnetti Marelli is part of FCA
Carlos Freitas the two systems are separate and Chrysler’s U connect and Magnetti Marelli’s system for Alfa have nothing in common as for as I know. Indeed U connect development predates Alfa’s system. I think it safe to say that not withstanding who owns who now, no one thinks these two systems are the same and in fact it’s often pointed out when anyone reviews the systems from Chrysler, Maserati visa vi Alfa. A subsidiary of and Developed by are not always the same thing.
@@miguelfreitas1991 and Magnetti makes the hardware for Mercedes UI control system and for BMW. Yeahhhhhhh...
Is that the Mhor Hotel i had my honeymoon their two years ago our car for the time was FType R
great but a little too wide for some of the narrow roads
Sam - super smoothly put together stunning scenery shots.
All the S's.....
Scotland is beautiful! Your narration is on top as usual, Sam - you actually look like a mentor to Emma, of both driving and narration. The latter is the skill she lacks the most on her channel! As for your choice of the car - I think you know better. All in all Carrera T looks like a good choice - the precision tool that is Porsche plus the comfort seats, should be fun to drive the globe. Now, my only and biggest criticism - mate, I understand you're British, BUT travelling around the world you're gonna cover what 1-2 percent of the right hand drive terrain? See where I'm getting into? I mean with your driving skills wouldn't be a problem a left hand drive car for a year! Or are there any significant financial differences in UK to buy/lease a left hand drive? Cheers!;)
...and when I hit the dash with my clipboard Miss Walsh I want you to perform an emergency stop... lol. Enjoyed that - thanks!
I Wouldn't Even Mad If Sam Actually Buys This Instead Of The Carrera 😂😂
This is a stunning looking video!
How do you film your b-roll? It's always so good!
Well filmed video, some great shots. And hits the nail on the head - THE problem with this car is its interior. How Alfa signed off on that infotainment and cheap plastics is beyond me....
What part of Scotland was this? Was trying to recognise bits but couldn't make it out.
Great vid of a great car!
Nice of you and Emma to coordinate lol, that video made me jealous, those roads and that car, oh yes!
production quality is really good on this one.
Love the letter box effect!
The best 'part' of the interior is Emma, you should invite her a couple of times on your 'around the world' trip.
Stunning environment for this road test.
Is that the Roman camp in Callander by any chance? Beautiful part of the world if so, hope you enjoyed it.
where abouts in Scotland did you film this ?
It's a like from me for Emma Walsh. Cheers lad. We'll have that. Yep
For me, if have gone with the Stelvio however if you were just not feeling it then you have got to go with your heart. I am one of those blind alfisti though that chose this over the macan and other German brands (the Audi's leave me feeling cold)
Does anyone know if this Stelvio has a Red Alfa or Red Competizione color?
You two have scary levels of colour co-ordination in this video. Even your tans match!
Basically you wanted a Porsche since day one. Stelvio or even Giulia are better cars for the kind of trip you planned. Also considering it's Italian, cool sound, Alfa no less, and a Ferrari engine bolted to the front, the only way to understand why you didn't pick it is because you wanted a Porsche. Period. "Something with the interior..." sounds odd as an "excuse". Anyway the Porkie is a fantastic choice so congrats!
What’s the title of the song after the intro?
Your guest was fire. Thanks.
Would have loved to see you getting a Stelvio, but the 911T is a great choice too
911 is a very nice car, but also a very common whish list model. The Stelvio Q on the other hand, it's a very special car. Much more exclusive. Not something you see everyday on the road.
Where abouts were you filming?
Good choice choosing a Porsche for your trip. I do love the Alpha though. And you are really bubbly having Emma with you the. Great co host. She’s cute.
Italian imitation at 8:55 has me weak for daysss 😂😂😂
Where in Scotland were you?
Ahhh mate c'mon...Italia cars rule you know that! Nice to see Emma once again X)
Rosolino TV 👋🏻
@@missemmawalsh Tell him Emma! X-D
Will your roofbox be a 56north?
you made the right choice with the 911T
The SUV with it's AWD and raised ride height (also load carrying capacity = no awful roof box) might have proven to be a better choice if Sam has to navigate some terrible roads. A 911 is a great road trip car, but may prove to be inadequate if the going gets tough... I guess we'll see!
The 991.1 Targa GTS would be a better choice
@@ROSASHOWW If you like GLORIFIED VOLKSWAGENS !!!! FORZA ALFA BABY ....ALL DAY LONG AND TWICE ON SUNDAY !!!!!
Got rid of a Macan Turbo and a Cayenne Turbo ... for an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Trofeo triple metallic white with ice interior and green/white stitching. The Porsches were too mundane for me. The Alfa has soul, full of life. I like living life. Peace. :-)
