Hi Eric, as you are about one ore two months forward of us (we are right now planing our interieur)... how many milimeters did you chose for the gap you cuted for the lids on your front panel? do you cover this in any way when the lids are mounted?

Hi Michael! I've used a 3 mm bit. I didn't use 2 mm because the lock on the back will rub against the top panel, aka it won't open. I'm not going to cover the gap. 3 mm is pretty small. What car do you own?
We (my wife Gabi and me) baught a LR 110 Puma 2007, in March and want to built it as a overlander vehicle...

Just sayin' but... ahm.... can't you just cut out all the irregularities out of the car instead of having to cut all the panels to shape ;-)
