@SHuSTYBANG Glad you liked it. I think i was too shocked to go Ike but the camera went into auto shut off when I hit pause after the first 2. Trolled back to the spot and made 2 casts before the next double and then had to jump back and hit record while the fish were on. There was a sweet spot you had to cast to though. I actually stopped fishing after the next double and called a friend to come meet me there, but by that time it was over. He caught a 6lb single and double 3's.
How could anyone dislike this video!!! You are the man 25lbs on sets with the A-Rig. Just started fishing with the A-rig this year and no real luck yet. Small bass but nothing big at all. Hopefully it gets better and I am sure it will. I call it perseverance's !!!
Great job on the video! It's my new favorite. For what it's worth, we just bought an a-rig for a buddy, honestly as a joke, and flew down to meet him in the Dallas area for three days of Texas bass fishing last weekend. We all caught fish on it but he ended up getting his personal best at 5lb 7oz. Needless to say, we no longer consider it a joke. Thanks for posting!
Yeah I know it's old. Just getting inspired before going out fishing tonight. Justin, the Texas sky looks fake, it's so beautiful. You know what I'm gonna give a try tonight...A Calibama Rig....light wire, with Lil' Creeper Swimbaits...and you know why.....Awesome! I'm pumped! Fish on!
I personally don't like this bait as a tournament angler, but if there is no rule against it in a tournament, you are probably going to get dominated by the other guys throwing it. These umbrella rigs have been around a long time but just recently it has become "the alabama rig" in the bass world and caused a stir! Like all other good new baits, fish will grow accustomed to it and then there will be something else new. For now, it works. The LOON in this vid even wanted it!
@@aye_dk6158 you obviously misunderstood the title then. It didn't say he did it in two casts back to back. he is saying in 2 casts, he caught 25lbs, because there were 2 fish on each of those times.
Entertaining, fun, exciting and super informative, Great job man!!! Always putting together good quality hook sets... When fishing is tuff and the water is frozen solid and I can't catch nothing I can always look to your channel to get a good healthy smell of Bass!!!
One time, my grandpa have Alabama rig and we were down in Lake Cumberland, KY, and he caught two huge stripers! One was 7 pounds and other was 12 pounds!
I'm trying this out in Ontario on Bass Opener for a couple tournaments, the regulations here are 4 single hooks per line though - still should produce some nice results.
Wow that's borderline dreamy man good job nothing more satisfying than catching A big largemouth but 2 same cast awesome bro to bad wasn't last 30 seconds of a tourney that would've crushed a lot of souls
I fish a lot of umbrella rigs (slow troll) for striper in the fall and winter. The rigs I use have 9 hooks. I once caught 4 striper and a white bass on the same rig! I have found that when I hook multiples they fight against each other and don't put up any fight at all.
your vids are awesome, I have been subscribed for a while- I really don't understand how you stay calm in this situation. my vid would have had all kinds of bleeped out cussing! awesome vid, like always it made me want to go get a line wet!!
Fished the a-rig for the first time this year. I took my nephew out in summer in some deeper water on a local lake. we caught 18 bass in about 2hours….we had 4 double ups. epic day!! Picasso a rigs with Keitech swim baits.
wouldnt it be better to use an 8'6" heavy swimbait rod? Ive tried throwing mine on a 7'9 xh action rod with a fast action tip made for smaller swimbaits (1-4 ozs) and still sometimes have a hard time making controlled accurate casts with it.
just curious as to what time of year, water depth and what depth were you fishing it? were you letting it sink, or were you rolling on contact? by the way, thats an amazing video.
is your rod rated for the oz capacity of the rig 1-4 oz's? and your reel are you using braided line and if so is your reel rated for 50-100 LB braided line.My problem is i can't fine a reel rated for braided line over 30lbs and the reel thats rated for 1-4oz lures is HUGE!!!!! 8'. Is there a 7' rod rated for 1-4oz lures?
OMG That is amazing !!! I was in Florida a cpl yrs ago and caught a 11 lb. Large mouth bass but catchin' 2 or 3 at the same time !?!?! Damn Nice catch !!!
The fun in fishing is catching fish and winning tourneys. The Alabama rig does take skill to fish cause it doesn't work just anywhere. You have to find the right conditions and places to throw it. It's not like he's trolling it...
I was wondering what this rig would do at Fork. Thanks for sharing. That was awesome.

you're never going to forget that day that's just awesomeness right there and definitely in your face action!!!!
what knot is tied for the rig
Vincent Foti
Geez! I'm prayin for a five pounder and your catching them left and right!
@Deadgame50 50 lb braid and at least a 7 foot heavy action rod. I use a 7'6" flipping stick

That a true testimony to how promising the alabama rig can be. Nice catch.

Nice Fish! I wish we had fish that big in Wisconsin
What do u think about some large curly tail worms, or even rattle'traps on a Alabama rig.

Unreal. I would have to call it a day after those. Crazy video
I'm usually saying, that fish isn't 8 pounds, but in this case I think you nailed the 25 pounds.
Was the duck following the fish ?? Literally didn't notice it until like the 5th time I watched the video. 3:39
Sweet Home Alabama!!! GOOD JOB^^^^
I always come back to this video for some reason
Holy bass....that was awesome...to bad you wasn't in a tournament
Wow bro really impressive, I really enjoyed your video so I subscribed. I just got one question, what type of line are you using with your rig?
That was awesome man. Good work!
We have had alot of tournaments in Florida where the rig is banned. Sure has had it's share of critics. Nice fish, good video..........
Nice vid man! Awesome day it looks like!

Are you at FALCON LAKE in TEXAS cuz those are very common, 10lb+fish easily over there with any lure???

Fishing is awesome especially in the middle of the lake on a boat

do you know what the regulations for Texas on the A-rig. I have looked and can't find anything about how many hooks you can use o it.

How deep were you fishing man? I just picked up one of these rigs
Man that's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! Was that Fork??
Cool stuff.
thats what you call a good day of fishing !!!! DAMN
I hope that I could learn to fish like you someday I love fishing.😀
This is Awesome!!! How do you rig your rod for the Alabama Rig if I might ask

Can you imagine if you did this fishing the Classic? Holy smokes people wouldn't believe it if you didn't have this on film!
Back here in March of 2020. Still epic to this day.
Hey I'm new to fishing. What kind of rod, reel and line are you using?
Holy Crap!! Thats Awesome!!
