This 2 Part Guide was on point. I’ve never rebuilt a SXS Transmission but Rocky Mountain walked through all the right steps. I replaced all the bearings, installed the Turf Delete and 25% Gear Reduction in my 2017 Ranger XP 1000 with very little material outside this video. Great tips and pointers, couldn’t have done it without the guidance. Thank you!
My 21 General had a turf mode explosion ,here in Australia a new transmission was $9500 , I found this video which was an invaluable help for myself to be able to repair the transmission for around $2500.00 , Iam guessing about $5000.00 out of a dealers shop .I just watched both videos on all the steps and took my time , Thanks Rocky Mountain 👍
Great video. I am going to have to replace my transmission case. I did not notice what half of the case the drain hole was located on the left or right side. Could you possibly tell me? Thank you
Hello Charles, Thanks for the video! So far it's been very helpful in my rebuild of my 2019 Polaris general. My snorkel gear and pinion gear exploded on me! I believe that the bearing on the pinion gear failed? I'm curious, what are the advantages of a 25 percent reduction gear? I see others mentioning it. Is this something I should install while I have it apart?
Great videos.. I just rebuilt my 2014 xp 1000 transmission off these for guidance. But now all back together and all gears work except High gear. Selector moves to high and indicator on speedometer says H but acts like it's in neutral? What could my issue be?
both part 1 and part 2 were great help! thank you! I've never taken a transmission apart, because of this video I was able to take it apart, do the gear reduction, and put it back in place torqued to specs. perfect instructions. I did not use the red lube in the new bearings, is it really that necessary? I'm hoping that filling it up with oil, should be enough, if not give me the bad news, don't hold back, tell me how bad i messed up lol
Nice work, glad it helped out! The assembly lube is just for the first little bit before the oil gets everywhere. It's too late to take it back apart, so I guess it will have to work. 😂 -Charles
Do you sell a transmission rebuild kit for a 2019 Polaris general 1000 4 EPS ride command that has high quality seals and high quality bearings? Preferably from either Japan or USA. Thanks, Jim

What lube is that you was putting on the bearings?
We used the Maxima Assembly Lube: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/maxima-assembly-lube-p
