A tasty recipe I'll share: Alaskan Baked Potato. Make a aluminum foil boat, line it with parchment paper, add one whole steelhead filet skin side down. Rub the fish with Lawreys seasoning salt, pepper to taste, smear with sour cream, sprinkle with sliced green onions, and cooked chopped bacon, cover the fish with shredded cheese. Leave the packet Open and bake the fish 375* until the fish flakes and is done. Time depends on the thickness of rhe fish. The cheese creates a cap that seals in the moisture! This does taste a lot like a baked potato and isn't fishy. Enjoy and Tight Lines :)
Rainbow Trout are usually freshwater fish. From what I understood, I didn't think it was safe to eat freshwater fish raw. If it's a sea-run rainbow or one that visits the rivers, then that's technically a steelhead. Could someone elaborate on how it's safe to eat a freshwater rainbow Trout raw?
any fish including salt water can have parasites. trout, like their cousins salmon and char, rarely if ever are susceptible to parasites, they're very clean fish, and would literally die before living in dirty parasite infested waters.
Nice recipe!! But kill those poor fish first!
Wow amazing 🐟🐟🐟
at least kill the fish first...

It's because they're farm raised. Wild trout will have that beautiful color though
