- I created the coolest ant terrarium, I've ever made on this channel. It's a Leviathan-themed terrarium featuring a sea dragon made of rock. It's the new ant kingdom home of my massive marauder ant colony (Carebara diversa) named the Leviathans. Moving the colony into it from their old home was quite a challenge, but once they were in and I was able to feed the ants, that's when my ant-loving dreams came true! Today two boys, maybe 10 and 12 years old, came into my pet store to buy coconut fiber, mealworms, food jelly, and decor for their ants. They were so confident and articulate about what they needed. I strongly suspect they are fans of yours just like me.
@Huck I thought that too but i just had my tetramorium flight this week in Vegas and I diddent even know they were native to my area! And I even got a camponotus queen. But if you really cant find any queens just go on the GAN project Mikey made for us.

The massive sea dragon towering over the tiny 'lighthouse' made the terrarium's scene 100x more epic!!

I feel like this is the biggest moment for this channel since all the lost Colonys during covid. It feel like we're back in the incredible setups. Truly a beginning of a great era
I hope you're right. This channel needed a reboot or restart. Whole termite thing for food that turned into a quest to grow fungus honeycombs and mushrooms you could potentially eat one day cooked in water in a banana leaf lol, the termites should have been dumped into the ants tank right then and there for a bonified massacre where none make it out alive. They were for _food_ . Then started over with regular wood eating termites.
But recent shows (before the last 2-4?) feel very rushed or felt like "filler", so this was very refreshing to see. This is why I originally subscribed - it was to see ants doing their thing like the amazing creatures they are. That's all I care about.
Besides the phoenix empire, everything before this to the loss of the colonies was pretty mid.
I would’ve loved to have seen your friend creating the leviathan. Whoever they are, they are truly gifted with remarkable skills!

One thing I LOVE about the setup is that, thanks to the design of the sea dragon's body, the ants actually have MUCH more space to roam around than the actual square footage of the tank would give if it were just a flat, level habitat, or possibly even one of the multi-level terrariums that we've seen before. It's a good way to simulate more of the distance they would travel in the wild to forage.

I found a couple of names you might consider" Longwei... In Chinese, this name means “dragon greatness,” Melusine...This dragon name means “wonder” or “sea fog"...Rizontie ...This name means “ice breath* & Ebeneezer ...In Hebrew, this name means “stone of help.” Too hard to choose one, but I'm sure there are more out there that fit this extraordinary beast. Well done, I'm truly impressed with the whole Ant Terrarium.

It gave me an idea on a future terrarium for your fire ants. You could do a Volcano design with ants nest behind a Volcano, with a similar hidden tube leading to the volcano. The sight of fire ants coming out of a volcano to feast would be unbelievable.

I suggest a Latin name for this enclosure:
Tectum Serpentis - The Serpents Abode
The secondary meaning of this refers to the Serpens constellation in the Universe (our Antiverse in this analogy), which contains the "Pillars of Creation", which kind of look like a hand to me, where new stars are formed. And of course the other meaning for Tectum is that it also can mean "resembling a roof", as in a new roof for the Marauders to live under!

I really relate to the ant riding on top of the roaches as the others drag it. I'd like to think my Spirit Ant isn't lazy, just believes she has telekinesis as she stands a top the moving food screaming "I am help!".
I dont watch the videos on this channel very often but when I do I'm always blown away by the passion, knowledge, and ability to make high quality content that this man has. I never thought I would be so interested and invested in a video on youtube that was talking about ant farms.
Honestly, I think Leviathan is a pretty good name for the terrarium. However, I think the nest area in particular should definitely be called "The Belly Of The Beast".

I'm a dragon expert i read and watch a lot of stuff with dragons to compare them across universes
according to some evidence i found across universes to support a statement in a book
certain dragons use pheronomes to control others
and in certain universes (such as wings of fire), i beleive dragons use less actual language and more pheronomes to communicate, like ants.

This is by far the best terrarium I've ever seen! I'm so glad it turned out so well!❤ As for a name, how about "Tempest's Wake"? Sea dragons were often depicted to bring about storms and the Leviathans themselves are kinda like a storm passing by, picking up whatever prey is unfortunate enough to find themselves there.

Tiamat is the dragon goddess of Tiamat, in ancient Mesopotamian mythology, the primordial goddess who was the personification of the salt sea and the mother of the gods. She also was associated with the chaos of creation. Therefore I think "TIAMAT KINGDOM" sounds like a awesome name for your colony that went through apocalyptic chaos and a new beginning.
Although the colony already has a name, it's just the environment that needs a name. Tiamat, home of the Leviathans sound perfect.

Seeing how small the castle is compared to the rest really puts into perspective how big their new territories are. I thought that it'd be about the size of the dragons head. Amazing job as always.

@AntsCanada Try this one: “Ryūjin no ryōiki”, which translates from Japanese into English as “Realm of the Dragon Gods”. Fitting for a tank with a giant fragon, a round Japanese temple, and the subjects being the Marauder ants, which can be labeled as the “samurai” of the tank.

Love what you've done with these little guys! For the terrarium's name, how about 'Titan's Rest' - it works as both a nod to the sheer size of the setup, the way the massive dragons appears to rest calmly, but also to pay tribute to the previous marauder ant colony
The Reapers Den in reference to the ants strong brave behavior, and how they raid the shadowy nights like grim reapers, preying on the dead insects and the roaches that even still moved as if they lived to have their souls reaped by the leviathans. I really think this name suits them not only personality wise but based on the amazingly cool effort that was put into the terrarium. I think it's a cool reference to any Subnatica fans as well that to have a reaper leviathan reference. Perhaps this could bring culture together, as it did me when I had originally found this channel being someone who had no history with ants but loved games.

Wouldnt this setup look even more amazing when you put some more gravel or sand and some more plants on the base of the terrarium? Right now it looks a bit empty and barren under the sea dragon. And also the ant tower doesnt really seem to be in its final place yet imo.

You should use red lights for when they hunt food since they can’t see red but allows us/you to watch them
