Huffy Rail Dragster Muscle Bike vintage 1972

This is a nice example of a 1972 Huffy Rail Dragster muscle bike 3 speed all original except the tires. It cleaned up very nicely for a 43 year old and wasn't abused like most boy's bikes.
When researching this model online, I found only a few similar Huffy bikes with the shorter version of the yellow Rail frame and yellow fenders, but none had the sweet chrome chain guard like this one. Came like this from the factory!

These late 60s early 70s muscle bikes they're sure going for a lot of money nowadays especially the Schwinn Krate bikes but it's great to see other companies making muscle bikes muscle bikes back then giving Schwinn a run for their money .

Hi! I used soap and water, then 0000 steel wool and finally Colonite insulator wax

I always wonder why the seat is set so high on these?

The seat is up as high as it will go because I'm 6'3" and I wanted to ride it around. Otherwise it would've been down lower.

I rode mine through high school, only missed 3 days and loved the ride daily in Florida weather. Good times! 5 pc. crankset with front derailler and 26 inch chrome forks, made for fast speed shifting using brake caliper for shifter... perfect wheelies too on the bumps and curbs.. had to use a steel pipe for the seat post as stock one would bend being this high.
