    Hi guys i walked the Camino in 2014, you should be able to ajust your packs so that the weight is on your hips.

      Hey, thank you Mary! You can get them where you get your passport stamped in the local iglesia. We got ours from a Primark travel gel bag 😂

      @donm8567 no worries! It's a very special experience. So sentimental to everyone I think

    Are you walking this now or posting after you have completed the walk to Santiago? If real time then looking forward to following your real time journey.👍 I start France’s route from SJPDP on 6th May😊

      Hey Allan, this is not real time unfortunately. My wife and I live in Spain so we're able to do little segments at a time. We finished in Estella, so 5 days of the Camino. Spoiler alert it was amazing and the first day needs respect as it's a tough climb.

      @@benwoottonit’s a tough climb because it usually is the 1st day. Once you get through in a row, there’s not really anything really tough as you’re getting used to walking up and down

      Yes and no, I think this is the toughest day from the whole Camino. With a climb of 1,400 meters I doubt that any other day has this incline. I know there's a day where you walk 30km but have heard it's not as strenuous.

      @@benwoottonthere’s another tough climb between Valcarce and Cebreiro and Fonfria. Over 1600m during the day. Quite a tough one, but as said not as tough as the beginning as you got used to it.
      Of course, that’s another story if you do segments only

      @benwootton  4 місяці тому +1

      It might be, yes. We went the slightly shorter/ easier route as the other route was shut for being too dangerous. We didn't pass by Orisson.

      @@benwootton thanks for the reply. I'm an American who worked in France for a while and didn't find them uninviting at all. They didn't like entitled tourists for sure but otherwise they were fine. Anyway good luck growing your channel. lol I was thinking of following for the El Camino pieces but I'm good for now. Ta.

    • @benwootton
      @benwootton  2 місяці тому

      @idandez I agree, it's just a stereotype I like to play on. Like anywhere in the world there are uninviting people around. However when in st jean pied du port, I'm English and my wife is Spanish and they didn't want to know anything let alone speak English or Spanish (which are their neighbours). Maybe because it's rural, I don't know. But it's the start of the biggest pilgrimage of the world they should be happy there's tourism there. Maybe some people who have done the Camino can back me up here haha
