Haruka ( lead guitar) started playing at age 10. Wrote this song at 12 years old , recorded it at 14 and she is 15 in this video. All three are prodigies.

I was fortunate enough to catch their NY show last May. Met them at the sidewalk as they entered the venue in preparation for the show. I was star struck and unprepared how young these guys looked. They looked like a junior high garage band as they are rather diminutive but the moment they strike the first note on stage, there was no mistake who were the rock stars. They sounded amazing, so full even with just 3 pieces but such stage presence. Halca the guitarist also started singing and has a lovely voice as well. They are definitely a band to follow.

Haruka is only 4'8" and the guys aren't much taller. They seem so big on stage, especially Haruka, who is a ball of energy.

@@jimnusbaum3589 Yes, I had a picture taken with them at the meet and greet after the show. I'm 5'-8" and tower over the entire band. Their sound was giant, big, and full. I really enjoy their music.

Yeah, not bad for some kids, isn't it 😉
These are 3 of the best musicians you'll ever meet, some years ago, when guitarist Hal-Ca was 15yo. She's 21 now.
Please listen to their songs "Church" and "Dawn" next and get blown away 🤘🏻🙂

The guitarist wrote it. Also, for their first album Bootsie Collins produced 2 tracks and brought in Buckethead as guest musician because he was very impressed with them.

HAL--ca, My favorite guitarists at the moment. You can see her, at the age of 16, going ham with Steve Ray Vaughan Scuttle buttin (not so great audio but her skills and charisma are still clearly on display). And just recently, age 23 now, she appeared at Marty Friedman show and did interview and short 3 min jam with him . Pure fire. Oh, and she started singing as well on their last album.

Wished her a happy 21st birthday in Nov. before their Shibuya show. Also met them after their July California show.

Not quite 12. If I'm correctly informed, these 3 exceptional talents were between 15 and 17 years old at the time. Guitarist Hal-Ca (Haruka) is the youngest and Mio on drums the oldest in this phenomenal - but imo still totally overlooked - trio. 🔥🤘🏻

The music video was recorded around Haruka's 15th birthday, so Miyu was a few months shy of 16, and Mio had just turned 18. But there are videos of her performing it back in 2015, when she was just 12. Same thing with _Magic Bullet_ and _Over Drive._ And she was only 11 when she wrote _155._ Quite the little prodigy, our Haruka 🙂

Congratulations on finding the best new power trio since (in my opinion) Cream. They are from Fukuoka, Japan, and consist of:
    Haruka Noma, guitars (“HAL-CA”)
    Miyu Yoshinaka, bass
    Mio Yoshinaka, drums
They started as an all-instrumental band, and have recently begun adding vocals.
They were formed in 2014 when Noma was 11 and the brothers were 12 and 14 respectively. They were all playing at a talent fair for young musicians in their hometown, when one of the music scouts noticed them, had a hunch and suggested they play together. Most of their current youtube catalogue is fan-made live video footage, much of it at the Hard Rock Café in Fukuoka. There are also a few clips from their one tour in the U.S., when they played Austin and Los Angeles. From the start, they have written most of their own music, covering a wide range of styles.
The brothers bring a lot of jazz and funk ideas into their playing. Miyu plays 4,5 and 7-string basses, which are co-lead instruments in his hands. They are all phenomenal talents, but the big draw has been Noma, known by her first name Haruka or by her stage name Hal-Ca. She has been likened to a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, with bits of Joe Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt and Akira Takasaki, among others, thrown in. Even in the Japanese scene, with its overload of extraordinarily technical instrumentalists, she stands out. She also writes most of the band’s music.
Best clips to start with are:
“Rising Moon” (their first professional MV): you just watched this.
    “Blaze” (Live): ua-cam.com/video/51Pxkp8lGAs/v-deo.html
“Light in the Darkness” (Live): ua-cam.com/video/QpxNcZoNjVU/v-deo.html

    “Day 26” (Studio live) ua-cam.com/video/6qcxU-rikgs/v-deo.html

That is a 7 string bass that Miyu is playing and ESP made a custom model only for him at 17!!!!!! Hal-Ca is making that Yamaha/Pacifica hum, she has that Hendrix vibe as she was born to be a rock star. Miyu's brother, Mio on drums has to keep these 2 beasts locked and on point through every song. Very young and talented and were independent till recently. They fuse Metal/Hard Rock/Jazz/Prog into a unique sound for a trio. Try their LIVE performance of DAWN at a small cafe due to their ages, (they had homework due after the set was over...LOL) and a small following at the time ua-cam.com/video/buQPvINJcA0/v-deo.html
Bass solo and Hal-Ca at 16 shows off so many influences in her solos it is scary

It sounded like you said "six stringed bass".
That's a seven stringed model from the ESP custom shop that MIYU is playing.
The guitarist, HAL-CA (Haruka Nona) is playing her Yamaha Pacifica here, but she recently switched over to ESP guitars.
She has a SNAPPER HAL-CA Custom model now.
That's MIYU's older brother MIO on drums.
    They're phenomenal live.
They have more Rock 'n' Roll in their little fingers, than the majority of rockers that are two or three times their age.
    .

Actually this is before he got his custom ESP. He played this purple bass for a few years before he got the custom ESP. Now this purple one may be an ESP too but it doesn't have ESP on the head stock.
