Another super talented protege from Japan. It's not the water, it's the culture and educational system coupled with a work ethic. It's amazing how many musicians and singers started at a pre-school age.

I think that's a great combination (work ethic & educational school system) to make sure that it's possible to make a career from music.
In this video, the guitarist is 16 years old, the bassist is 16-17 years old, and the drummer is 19 years old. They don’t need a second guitarist, because miyu (bass) most often uses a 7 string bass. Not only the low frequency, he also did the rhythm guitar part at the same time, and he had some incredible bass solos on some of their songs, his ability wasn't really brought out on this one, miyu is one of my favorite bassist. And hal-ca(guitar) is my favorite guitarist so far, she not only has top skill, amazing speed, but also emotion, she is already a great guitarist, and she is only 20 years old. Back to this video, This is a fan cam, although the sound quality is not good, but it also represents 0% post production, their live performance is amazingly stable. I recommend《stars》live in studio as the next!🤘🏻

Thank you! Yeah, I think the performance was really on point on this one and the fan cam helped to deliver the message a bit that way for not allowing to have any post production with the live take. I'll add that song to the list for checking in the future!
The first full Asterism album 'Ignition' (2018) is full of relatively traditional heavy metal including this song. Executed at the highest level. Their next two releases, 'GUERNICA' (2020) and 'GUERNICA + a' (2021) were more progressive. Their latest is a Japanese anime / metal cover album titled "Animetic", released on September 9th, 2022. They each chose favorite anime themes to "Asterism-ize". 'unravel', the Tokyo Ghoul theme song is my favorite from the new album. What I love about lead guitarist Haruka (stylized as "HAL-CA"), is that even with all of her technical precision, she still plays with a lot of heart. That really sets her apart for me. The two brothers, MIO (drums) and MIYU (bass) are also top level. MIYU is playing his usual 7 string ESP custom model here, but he will also break out a four or five stringed bass, depending on the. song.
Thanks for doing this one. The last 3+ minutes, starting from the change in mood and the bass solo, is one of my favourite moments in music. Incredible that it was written by teenagers.

Nice reaction. This was about 4 years ago. Hal-Ca, the guitarist was about 16 then (she' just turned 20 last month), MIYU, the bassist was 17 and his older brother MIO on drums was around 19. They've gotten a lot better than this now and have signed with a record label this year (Victor if I remember correctly - and Victor likes to block, so be warned). A very talented trio and just getting started.

This, and Church are definitely Asterism's two masterpieces. I love Asterism, but occasionally confuse them with Satriani. Then again, I don't mind it because I'm a massive Satriani fan.

Nice that You liked them. They have lately done som anime covers and had a collab with the Norwegian singer PelleK . But I love their original instrumental songs better.
