Oh Thank you for covering Soft Chamois James!! Wow I didn’t expect you to put up a video on it that quickly! Thank you again!
Love your channel!! Could you recommend a deeper LRV color that would pair well with soft chamois? I’m thinking somewhere in the 60’s-50’s lrv range. Keep up the content it’s impeccable!🥰
I got a sample of Soft Chamois yesterday and made a sample board.
It reads green to me.
In all the websites where people have used it in their homes or projects, it looks like a soft beige-y creamy white.
Interesting C.C. Could be your lighting? Aren't you glad you sampled it?
@@thepaintpeople It is a beautiful color. It is definitely a chameleon. It looks different in almost every room I place the sample board.
And it looks different at different times of day.
I keep looking at it...and liking it.
Thanks for this video! I was thinking to use this color in my living room/dining room but the green undertone isn’t going to work. I’d love to see a review on Benjamin Moore White Down.
I also have been looking for reviews of BM White Down as I got a Sample board of it and I like it a lot.
What do you think about a soft chamois wall with a mossy oak or metallic gold ceiling? I wold actually love a post about untraditional ceiling colours or metallic paint colours!
Is there a color like this without a green tone?
Can you do a video on Black Paints please
Does anyone know if this would be a good color for a north facing living room with ok amount of natural light? I painted it Benjamin Moore abalone but it looks purple :/
You look great in this video.
Thanks for covering Soft Chamois!
Not a problem!
I just painted my kitchen walls Soft Chamois with Simply White trim. It's not doing it for me... but I haven't out why yet. I really thought I'd love it.
How are you feeling about it now?
@myamorris2438 I have decided to live with it for now, but I wish I used something a wee bit lighter than Soft Chamois. Just not sure what that would be. I think painting both walls and trim in Simply White would be too bright for me.
@The Paint People We're having a paint emergency!:I wonder what the color is at .02 at the beginning of your video. It looks to have more depth and color than Soft Chamois, which is washing out on our similarly windowed cathedral.wall. Do you have a suggestion if Soft Chamois is looking way too washed out and cement putty looking on our high celnged wall for more depth and the look shown there? Thank you SO much!!!!!!!
I would love to see the paint people do some comparisons of some pinks and peachy paints that could be used as a neutral wall colors.
Good suggestion Walli!
PPG Mountain Grey has peachy pink but has grey beige its very pretty for my master bedroom.
I wish someone in paint design out there would show/discuss paint colors with dark wood trim. That is my home. All dark wood trim. Everything shows for white painted trims. Frustrating. Hardly any of these sites help homeowners like myself.
I want to look into this for you!
I’m looking for a warm neutral creamy color for my basement. Do you think this would be good? It has barely any natural light but I’ll have some decent lighting from high hats I believe, some of which can be dimmed in the sitting area.
I’m just nervous it’s gonna be too light and I’ll feel like I’m in a small bright box LOL thank you!
I am painting my open modern farmhouse concept main floor Soft Chamois. It has a large cathedral ceiling - should I have my BM ceiling paint tinted simply white or white cloud or another shade to keep it soft - the BM Ceiling Paint is way too stark white. Thanks so much! T
or maybe Chanitly Lace to show more contrast? Thanks again!
Annnd I’m confused again🤦🏼♀️. I may never find a color for my den...
Oh nooo! Just keep persevering! 😎
Sorry I’m blowing you up - confused what the green undertones should tell me. My house tends to get cooler light, it’s never really getting big bright sun because of tree cover (moving to the woods!). With indirect sunlight might the color feel chilly, or still creamy soft? And would a kelly green vanity make it look green, or cancel out the green?
Please please please do a vid on Calm..
Hey James, I was considering painting my entire home Seapearl OC-19 but wanted to get your advice. What trim color would go best. Hope to see a video soon 🔜
Go with something crisp like Super White!
ShamWHA 😂 you slipped @ 2:36
Hey James! love the info! Question: what colour(s) would you pair with BM Imperial Gray for trim and ceiling in a bedroom? I'm wondering if I can go darker on the trim ?? Can't wait to see what you come up with!
You can go darker! Take a look at whale gray or rushing river as trim colours, and maybe simply white for the ceiling/white trim alternative.
Hi! I'm a true fan! And I need your help!! I need your recommendation on 5 really light grey colors ... forgiving colors good for main color on the walls!
I have a friend who does all her rental properties in Gray Owl!!!
Could you bring this down 10% to give it more depth?
Can you do a video on Black Paints please
Sure! Any company in particular?
Benjamin Moore if possible
Sounds good!
