I know right. I was expecting to be a bit glassy eyed, maybe one tear to roll down my cheek, but NOPE. I was even crying the next day just thinking about it.
THIS is everything. Honestly, the best and most insightful show I've ever seen. A very sneaky way to teach philosophy & ethics to a world that seems to lack either. That... and the fact that my eyes leaked so forking much throughout. Thanks, Michael Schur & David Schwartz for making this world a little better than it was.

When I first watched The good place I left the last episode unwatched because I knew it would be too much for me. I have just watched the whole thing again and finally finished it and it's a great ending but also makes me so sad. I'll probably rewatch this again in a few years when I've forgotten enough about the show to enjoy it, it's honestly such a great show combining comedy, philosophy, ethics and the crude nature of humanity.
This series made me cry so much this is the only thing that gets me through life rn I’m in a really tough time rn and the good place is one of the only things that is always there for me to enjoy and learn from sincere thanks to everyone that helped on this show I really appreciate it

Hi Jedster. I had a fantastic time co-composing the song with Michael Schur and Gabriel Mann! At first we wrote it so Ted could sing it at the beginning of the last episode. Then we simultaneously came up with the idea of doing a full length version. Glad you enjoyed it! That’s actually me singing the lead vocal. It’s something I rarely ever do!
The opening riff reminds me so much of Fastball's "Fire Escape." Every time I get to the final credits of The Good Place, I flash back to Sarah Michelle Gellar and Charisma Carpenter bribing students with confections to be elected Homecoming Queen.
It takes some awesome writing to get to a point where a song like this is an emotional journey. This show (aside from implication that Mindy Saint Claire was the best person in 300 years) is so well planned out.
You're so underrated. You made the music on three of my favorite comfort shows, Arrested Development, Veep and Good Place. Cannot thank you enough for all the good times and the memories, I can't help but smile when I catch some of the jingles incidentally

I like to think the afterlife is exactly like it is in the show, and when we go through the test our memories of watching this show are wiped completely until we finish the process.
As a major fan of the Good place and a guitarist, I worked out the chords and how they fit around the lyrics. I can now play the song (though with my pathetic singing voice, I doubt anyone would want to hear me perform it). Can I put my version of the chords and lyrics online? I couldn't find them anywhere online, and this song needs to be shared widely. Of course it would include the standard disclaimer (the transcription is my own work and is freely shared under a creative commons license, but I claim no rights to the song and lyrics. Those rights belong to David Schwartz, Gabriel Mann and Michael Schur)
Thanks Kerrgal! My longtime studio guitarist, the incredible George Doering! I also played the original guitar track. I tGeorge plated fender 12 - it does sound like a Rick! Also the Danolectric electric sitar!
