Love you how to hand letter.... took me about a year to figure it out but now that I found your channel I’m getting really good at it. Please keep uploading
@howtohandletter your hand lettering is gorgeous, I’ve just started but hope to improve each week! To help me, I’ve bulk bought your practice sheets from your Etsy store! ✨💫🙏🏻💖✍️
I’ve had these brush pens for a while, I decided to get these instead of TomBow because I LOVE the colors. When I follow your real time lettering with my Kelly Creates pens (I use the small side), it’s always so hard. I got some TomBows and the difference is HUGE! Thanks for the review!!!
I got mine at Tuesday Morning store for 9.99. I am disappointed in these brush pens and I still paid too much. I do like the small brush pens best. Thanks for your input!
You are so kind Suzy. I'm not one to blast negativity on on social media or out to sabotage anyone's products but these pens are absolute crap. I got them on a 50% off sale and even that was too much money. Floppy tips that don't snap back make thin upstrokes nearly impossible. I found that the larger side performed better than the smaller side. The colors are pretty. 😬
I saw a review that these "dream" pens were disappointing but the small brush pens were nice. Are you going to review those as well? I bought the Pentel sign touch pens and the Kelly Creates SMALL brush pens and they seem very similar to me. The nice thing about having both sets is that now I have more colors to play with because even the greys are different (one is a warm grey, the other is a cool grey).
I'm confused about the difference between the small brush pens and the dream brush pens. Are the small ones comparable to the fudenosuke/pentel touch pens or are they bigger? I honestly got all of them that I could find (I checked 2 Michaels) but I'll definitely grab the others if I find them!
Kelly has a video on you tube where she demonstrates how to soften up the large nib when you first start working with the marker . She says it will feel stiff at first.
Erin Santiago hmm thats interesting, usually large brush pens fray after not too long so I feel like they should be the most flexible at the beginning when they’re also completely unfrayed! I will check it out though! Thanks for sharing!
I have the black brush trio set and find it very difficult to get my thins right no matter how lightly I hold the pen. Any suggestions appreciated. I do much better with the other two pens.
How do the three sizes of the Kelly Creates compare to the Sakura Pigma Professionals? Do you have a preference, specifically re: 1) ease for beginners, 2) opacity, 3) longevity?
Ohh that's a good question! I remember really liking the pigma professionals but I haven't used them in a long time... I will have to grab them both and compare! Thanks for the suggestion & for watching!
Yes! I uploaded it so people could see, even though my mic wasn't working but people were annnngry about the audio... who would have thought! ha! I will try to re upload it when I have a chance to redo the voiceover.
I love your vids!! But can I ask you something? What is better to use when it's a small brush? Tombow Fudenosuke Pentel fude touch Or Kelly creates small brush? I was planning to buy one of them and hope you could give me some advice😊😊
I noticed you predominantly write in lowercase and was wondering why that is. You have a video on uppercase as well but in your technique and review videos you always use lowercase. Is it because they are harder to connect? That's a problem I always have with uppercase letters. Thank you!
Maham Saleem that’s a great question! Honestly, I do it more out of habit. For the longest time, I used to just make my Lower case letter larger instead of using an actual capital, so I never got in a good habit of using proper capital letters. It took me a long time to come up with a capital letters alphabet that I actually liked! (Most are so formal). It’s not intentional though, just a habit! Thanks for watching!

The thinner nib of the pen looks fabulous for intricate details in artworks
CuriosityRocks yes for sure! I never talk about other art aside from lettering but lots of artists might love it!

They are VERY similar to the Pentel touch pens, in my opinion.
Thank you!
Hi! I messaged you on Pinterest about Old English Calligraphy and was wondering whether you could try that out. Great videos by the way!
Maham Saleem thank you! I will have to check it out! I’m not on Pinterest much so thanks for letting me know!

They ARE VERY PRICEY... $30 for 10 at JoAnn & Michaels... $28 at my local scrapbooking store.
