Talk about a Swiss army knife of tools and solutions in one unit! Can't wait for the update and then the response from the other companies.
I know, right?! This is going to push some innovation forward as, if the quality is there, RGBlink just took a huge step forward and are now leading the charge. It'll be interesting how the other brands try to keep up.
Any updates on the product? I see there's another version coming out, but i cant find enough info on it. Maybe you can get more info etc
Unrelated but dude you sound amazing. Ok now let me finish this video
Thanks!
Can you use a mixed sound input from a soundcard that controls the overall sound of Audio??
Does it have Tally support? Nothing mentioned about Tally support in the description. Otherwise, by now it would have been already delivered at my door. They could have included at least one 12G SDI input for the main camera.
Is there EQ and compressors on the audio channel like the ATEM?
Would you recomend this switcher?
Hi! I've understood that it has 4k inputs, but what is the output video resolution over HDMI and over the two USB-C ports? Is it also 4k? I'm asking because in the specs sheet you showed on the screen it says in has only FullHD output resolution. But it is presented an being a 4k device. Thanks!
Great question. I’m not sure yet. But when I get one to test, we’ll post another video with the answers.
According to the Specs & the interview with RGBLink, it will allow you to input 4K but then down converts that to the 1080P output for streaming. It does not output 4K for streaming. What we don't know is if it will ever be able to record in 4K to a connected hard drive via some software upgrade.
@@michaelclark4357 Thank you! I wrote an email to RGBlink and they confirmed that the outputs, both for the HDMI out and also for the USB-C, are 1080p. Over the USB-C it can record the program, not each individual camera.
So still this is an fullhd device… no 4k output for atleast externally recording it via ninja v.
@@SmartVideoBE From what I know, you are correct. I would be very instrested in a mixer that would allow not to stream in 4k (it is not necessary and to much data for the internet connection), but to allow to record on an SSD or ATOMOS in 4K resolution.
OBS is free and you can stream in 8K with dynamic video/audio/images. I am creating an app that will make OBS streaming super easy with endless video gallery's, audio and image, with Intro, Outro, Show etc. Audio ducking several audio sources at one with faders. Cool 2D and 3D lower 3rds that are dynamic. And much more. All controlled via a phone, tablet and computer from anywhere in the world. You could have the show in one place while the producer in another country.
Intriguing. Any signs that it can receive or send NDI outputs natively.
I'd love a switcher solution like this or the Atem that can take my NDI PTZ cameras, encode for streaming and have an hdmi program output also. Have you come across anything that does that?
I don't think it has NDI functionality, but it might. We'll have to wait and see. For the ATEM, using something like a BirdDog Play can get you the NDI cameras for like $100 a piece, translating them to an HDMI signal.
Does it support PTZ NDI HX CAMERA?
I don't think so, I think it's just HDMI right now. But who knows, it might. Haven't been able to test it yet and the marketing information is sparse right now.
Seems bizarre that it will take 50hz Full HD via HDMI in but can only output 60hz at full HD via HDMI, kind of limits its usefulness on the international market !
Hey there, the output resolution can be adjusted based on your needs. You have the option to select 720P at 50/60Hz or 1080P at 24/25/30/50/60Hz, not just 1080P at 60Hz. I hope this helps. Thank you
@@Cooper-RGBlink certainly does thanks - does USBC also support 1080 @ 50fps ?
Too expensive for the feature which is available with other products.
no lower third
Na this thing only outputs 1080p 60....Meh!!
The only people streaming in 4K are doing it to brag. For 99% of viewers watching live streams on their mobile device, they can’t tell any difference between 4K and 1080 footage. So 1080 is more than sufficient. To compare, you have to spend around $5K to get anything 4K from BMD or Roland - even more for Ross. Just for perspective.
Does it do iso recordings???
I haven't seen any information on that. However, my guess is no since it's doing 4K and at such a low cost. You can do ISO recording with external recorders, and just pass them through to the switcher if need-be. But I think if you need ISO recording right now, the best bang for your buck would be an ATEM ISO triggering the full 4K recordings in the Pocket Cinema cameras and using the 1080 files as proxies in the editing process.
@@ChurchSetup yes that's my plan (Atem ISO), thanks for the reply...
@@ChurchSetup Thanks for the video, If you can get a 4k mix then that is amazing, you don't really need the ISO functionality now because you can just copy the cards over and sync them to the 4K mix in Premiere or Resolve, and if you need to make a cut or adjustment, just cut to the relevant shot below your 4K mix. Could be a game changer for me. Thanks!!
Yes, according to the manual it will do recording but I have not tried it.
