Love the Ultra got it right away but I am missing the timer on the overlays as I usually set lower third durations set and forget on my Yolo Pro without it on the Ultra it complicates everything a bit more as you have to turn them on and off manually, so looping motion graphics the timing has to be super precise. Yes have gotten motion graphics to work on the overlays panel, hence why the timer function is so important for me in production. Nothing worse than a motion graphic looping and repeating. Great work as usual Anthony'.
Thank you for the compliment. I believe now we can set timers for overlay graphics. And if not it is something that they know about and are looking at bringing, just like on the pro.
1) How do I connect the Yolobox Ultra with a MacBook Pro?
And
2) how do I connect the Yolobox Ultra with the Rodecaster Pro 2?
You can connect each various ways, but I don't know what you're looking to do.
Like, if you wanted the Macbook screen on the YoloBox, take the HDMI out of the Macbook and into the YoloBox.

It's a canon issue, you can use a DMCA adapter from Amazon to rectify this.

Great device, but is there any EQ and compressors on the audio channels possible? That'll really make it streamline without needing to bring additional audio gear
Not that I know of. That's not saying it can't happen in the future but right now the answer is no
@@StreamTeknology hopefully there's a DSP inside. Adding EQ and compressor would be game changing on that unit.

Touch the little gear icon at the top right of the comment setup to make sure you have that version selected.

Right now, vertical formats like TicTok and Insta can both be connected.
The system is designed to produce _either_ a horizontal program _or_ a vertical program.
Not both at the same time.

I am thinking about getting one but Before I do that, I would like to know if I can add OBSPOT tail air as NDI source so I don’t need to have HDMI connection (wired or wireless)
Yes, the Ultra has an optional NDI license you can purchase to add 3 NDI sources.
I understand you can't do a horizontal and vertical stream at the same time yet. But can you do the following: Record horizontally in camera, but livestream vertical to one platform like tiktok or instagram?
Yes, because you can rotate and crop in the Ultra.
I do this with the older Instagram feeding it my horizontal camera on me, taking a center crop, adding a title, and then a PIP of the whole horizontal frame showing any other views. So the vertical viewers get a vertical layout very different to the horizontal viewers, but they still get everything.
It's a good thing, but from my personal experience, when I connect the Yolo box min to USB 3.0 with an HDMI adapter, the image is not as clean as the usual HDMI and the resolution is relatively low.
It may not be, but it also depends on the adapter.
Can you add your own graphics from Cavern.
If they have a HTML URL that can pull the graphics in, yes.

They are saved with each "show" that can then be duplicated for each week's broadcast. Use my affiliate link if you decide to get one.
how to record in 4K and then do some post production. Can we connect an SSD or record on the SD card?
Yes and yes.

@@Victor60824 The data rate of streamed video is a tiny fraction of what SSD's record at. They all are way over what the Ultra will require.
I am so skeptical about "all in one" solutions.... What if the software gets frozen 5 min before the event? As I see it - I have to have at least 2 Ultras and maybe one small Yolo. That would be redundant... But again - this is already like 4000 EUR...
The same can be said for any such solution. That is why I always recommend to test, test, test what you want to do over and over again make sure that it will do what you want to do, and then of course, regardless of the solution, have a backup.
Hi, can I install external apps like a VPN if I wanna go live in those regions where I can’t access google services without a VPN? I have a VPN on my computer but since this Ultra box doesn’t require any computer… how can I access UA-cam or Facebook ?
Yes, there are others videos already online, specifically on how to install Speedify on your YoloBox, which include instructions on how to exit the Yolo app and load other software onto the YoloBox.

Hi Anthony, very helpful video and you show cased the unit really well. Very nice job! Just so I'm clear in my understanding, can you help answer the following for me?
1. With the Ultra, can I take it on a remote field trip, connect it to my camcorder (via HDMI) and without the need for a pc or mac, live stream remotely directly to YT, Twitch, Facebook, Linked In, etc once I have a SIM installed in the Ultra or a USB Modem connected to the Ultra or simply hotspotting to the Ultra wirelessly from a cell phone? So there's no need to pay any additional cloud-based fees, etc, such as LRT Bonding as required with a LiveU?
2. Assuming the answer to (1) above is "Yes", am I right in saying that I can only use the bonding feature of the Ultra if I take out a subscription plan to YoloLiv? This isn't a complaint, just seeking clarification should I require a more robust internet connection :)
3. Can I live stream via RTMP or SRT without incurring any additional fees to OBS on a home PC and stream onwards from there?
4. What about connecting USB-C webcams requiring USB 3.0 as a minimum standard? Will the Ultra support that, for eg, the Facecam Pro webcam?
5. Does the Ultra support 5G cell connections?

could we choose horizontal video and add instagram rtmp to simultaneously doing live show ?
Yes... but. Insta takes the "center cut" of the video to do a vertical, so if you stand just to the left or right of center you will be cut off.
Best to create a feed _specifically_ for Insta and then use RTMP to stream to it.
Hello, I'm having major overheating issues with this device. Is this a defective unit or a known issue? I have Insta360 Webcam and DJI pocket three plus sony ZV-e10. The Yolobox seems a great solution for the set-up vs ATEM, which doesnt support USBC and USB ins. Do you have any recommendations?
