I want to say my apologies for editing out some important things i meant to include. I originally said something along the lines of "most vehicles" when referring to power steering but I accidentally edited that sentence out. Basically i was trying to get across that most cars use power steering and that this wheelbase will replicate the majority of cars out there without issue. I dont think anyone is under the impression this can pump out 40nm of force to simulate hitting a rock without power steering. Lol I had about 20 mins of raw audio that i cut down to around 9 mins. I try to condense my videos down as much as possible seeing as how people have less and less time to dedicate to watching videos like this. I end up accidentally cutting out important things at times. I have done it in the past and ill probably do it again at some point. I did however forget that the Accuforce wheelbase comes standard (not optional) with a 70mm wheel mount; so my statement about what other wheelbases feature a standard 70mm mounting shaft, was innaccurate. But in my defense that is also in a different price bracket. My main focus of this video was to compare this base to its direct peers. Moza, fanatec, simagic, etc. Are in a heated battle right now if you all have noticed. ;) Anyway, I felt the need to address these here and apologize for my errors. It is very difficult at times to get everything you want to say across in a video. The worst is when you release a video and realize you forgot to mention something....lol Luckily there is always part 2 videos or update vids! ;)
Simagic from my knowledge is not standard, not positive about moza exact details, but it will not allow you to mount anything to the wheelbase without an adapter, which is why the cammus is a standout.
Thank you so much! I wanted to use the base for a longer period of time before I did this review so that's why it took so long. I really tried to think of reasons not to buy this base but even if it were the same price as the csldd, this is a better wheelbase imo/ime.
Also, just to be clear, I was talking about mapable buttons on the front, there are some wheelbases I can think of off the top, like the CSL DD and DDWB have power buttons on the front. I think I was clear but just in case, I wanted to clear that up.
Simxperience AccuForce uses the 70mm standard mount out of the box. One of the main reasons I chose it. RBR pro looks amazing.... I need to give it a try. Those forested sections actually look like you're deep in the woods because of how dark it gets. That's one thing I absolutely CANNOT stand about DiRT Rally 2.0. Also, from the looks of it, the draw distance seems incredible.
I wish you tested the detail of this wheelbase. Something other than rally, like GT3 or some formula car, F3, F1, whatev. That is very important. you can say the wheel performs well but it won't mean much to me if the wheelbase is not precise enough.
In all fairness, I am a rally channel although maybe not immediately appearant from watching only one video. I do understand your comment though. What I can say is it's detailed enough to be realistic feeling but not as detailed as something like the simagic alpha mini.
How is the distribution network in Canada? I'm scared of import/duty costs from ordering from somewhere that isn't the US, and am very interested in the Cammus ecosystem because they don't treat their customers as gullible rich people who just don't like having money. I was just about to go with Fanatec, but since 505 Games just broke ACC on consoles, I'm going to shift focus to PC. Thank you!
Pc is definitely the way to go for simracing. I'm not too familiar with Canada, I don't know the distributors list. This base is going to be hard to get ahold of initially because of the market but I will try to keep an eye out. If you'd like to join the discord I'll update the description with the link.
If you already have the 8nm the cammus won't really provide you with anything different feeling wise, it will offer more flexibility with aftermarket wheel rims but that's it.
I am a product reviewer for sim racing companies they sent it over. There is no us specific distribution. You would have to get it shipped from overseas until a company picks it up as far as I know.
Yea you can, as long as they are cammus, they will pop right on no issues. You can also use other brands if you are ok switching out the qr and running the wheel via usb.
It's a bit tricky...I have seen it as low as 240 but because this unit is not currently sold directly through cammus website there is no hard price that I've seen. It's all up to distributors to price it. I wish I knew more hard facts but until I see some more US distributors we can't know exactly.
@DouglasThompson I do pretty much everything rally, drifting, gt3 and everything in between and in around 2 months im planning to buy whole dd setup and right now cammus 15nm seems like the best deal but im worried as a lot of people complain about the lack of detail in the ffb but at the same time there are few people praising this base on reddit and youtube and that makes me so confused that i dont know what to think anymore and i was also thinking about moza or simmagic but where i live its just not worth it.
The people complaining about a lack of detail must be driving with no power steering in thier daily vehicles...lol the cammus feels very realistic. Simagic feels great but it felt a bit sharp and unnatural to my hands and I have yet to have any hands on with moza. Any of the big-dogs are going to feel great honestly. The firmware gets better all the time with all the companies too so regardless of what you get, it will get nothing but better. I love the lp8 the most so far out of all the bases I've had, perfect sweetspot of price to performance and the ddwb punches way above its weight as well. Plus if you buy one directly from me it's 475 free shipping as long as you are in the United States. ;)
@@DouglasThompson Well beacuse of you I finally made up my mind and Ill go for cammus and i would love to buy it from you but im not in the US unfortunetly.

This was a pre release version. It is very hard to find right now. It will become increasingly more available as distributors pick them up.

In terms of power, coming from a CSL DD, Is this wheelbase 8nm peak torque or holding torque? I think a lil more 'punch' would be nice.
If you have the 5nm csl dd this will be a big step up, if you have the csl dd with the 8nm power supply, you won't feel any extra power.
I have the 8mn. The power of it is pretty sufficient for me. Considering the price it's hard to complain too much. @@DouglasThompson

Good review, thanks. What game /track are y playing during review? btw table mount is avalible?
I don't think there is a table mount. As for the stages, one is Biskupice 2004 and one Loch Ard
