Sonny just don't mind what people in Vietnam say about breakfast or lunch or dinner or supper whatever, we don't really categorize dishes, it just depends on what you want to eat and how many time you got for a meal. For example if you don't have a lot of time in the morning you can grab a Banh Mi, but if your work is not an "office" work and you have some time, you can go for a bowl of Pho or Com Tam as well, it's up to your choice. I'm 100% Vietnamese and I can tell you that some people just want to make some controversial stuff around, they just want to criticize others' effort. Food in Vietnam is versatile, it's your choice to choose what you eat! Good job Sonny! Cheers!
That is so true. Everything I could have for lunch I could have for breakfast and it was amazing. Why eat cereal when you could have soup with meat, veggies and noodles that would please anyone? I lived in Quận Sơn Trà, tp. Đà Nẵng for two years and my breakfast was either bún bò huế ở Đà Nẵng (Quán Thảo, Dương Trí Trạch, Sơn Trà) or bánh canh although I would stray once in awhile and have some bánh cuốn. Bún bò huế chay on the 15th and 30th of the lunar month. *All of them were less than a three minute walk from my house and served on street.* It was better than one can imagine and I was never disappointed. I sat and ate some of the world's best food with my neighbors on a little blue stool and plastic table. It was paradise. BTW breakfast cost less than $1 USD.

Bò Né literally means "Dodging Beef". The right way to eat this is when it's sizzling in cast iron pan. Americans call this dish Sizzling Beef, because the way it's served. Vietnamese call this dish Dodging Beef because the way it's eaten. You have to dodge the hot splashing oil while you're eating it.
it depends on the side of Vietnam, at the southern Vietnam people usually call it "Bánh Mì Chảo" (Pan Bread or sth with the same meaning) because we use bread to dip on a pan of food.

Best breakfast in Vietnam is this amazing noodle tofu bread cake and bean sprout dish I get in phu nhuan. Have it with some seriously hot chilli and fish sauce and it’s brilliant.
