I love Southern cooking by black women; they just know how to cook comfort food the best.

      1 1/4 c of self rising flour
      2 tsp of baking powder
      1 c sugar
      1 c milk
      1 tsp pure vanilla extract
mix and then pour over the stick of melted butter in the pan
add large can of peaches...spoon them on top using a "slotted" spoon so you can save the juice to pour in last
      pour juice over batter
      sprinkle cinnamon over entire pan
      350° for 40-45 minutes

The crust I know was made like this but not cake like as your’s and so many others is. I am going to make but just with flour mixed with water and a little salt in the mixture and hope it comes out like the peach cobbler I’m trying to recreate. With a more pie crust texture and not cake like.
