Chris, I made this peach cobbler last weekend for my parents and myself..."Lord Have Mercy" it was soooooo delicious. The only adjustment I made was 1cup of white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar..They thought it was store bought, but I forgot to put a little flour on my face.....😁 Thank you soooooo much.💖

Ms. Chris I made this last year, it was delicious. My family loved it!!! I could feel my great grandmother smiling at me. She used to make cobbler all the time and sell them ( peach, blackberry and blueberry cobblers). Thanks Ms. Chris. It was easy and real good! You converted some “only chocolate cake” lovers over to peach cobbler...my two brothers/critics loved it so did my husband!

This is the best peach cobbler recipe, I’ve ever tried! Especially if you love dumplings in your cobbler. My goodness it’s like heaven, with Butter Pecan ice cream.

    Oh my dear Chris.
You are such a delight to watch. Your Peach Cobbler looks absolutely delicious. I got such
a kick out of you explaining your recipe. I was raised by my grandmother who was so much like you.
A sweet sweet lady that could cook anything. You so much remind me of those days in her kitchen
helping her, Yea, right! As always under foot, and in her way hahaha. She to could cook Peach Cobbler that
looks so much like yours. I can still smell her kitchen and all the wonderful memories she brought to my
life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You really made my day. God bless you my dear.

OMG, isn’t she AMAZING Avila Alexander? I bless God for the night that I couldn’t sleep and I stumbled upon Ms. Chris’ UA-cam page.
I lost my brother earlier this year but for Easter he said he wanted a Sweet Potato pie. For some reason, I said that I would make him one. Please note that I had NEVER made or even attempted to make a sweet potato nothing. But after it was all said and done and following Ms. Chris’ recipe, he told me how much he enjoyed that pie. I felt as if I had won the World Series. It was such a compliment coming from him. God rest his soul, I miss him so much.
But yes, I have tried a number of her recipes and have been so pleased w/myself.

After loosing over a 100lbs in the last two years, I'm so tempted to make this and consume it in moderation. This reminds me of my youth when my grandmother made all the cakes, cookies and pies. Lard was the biggest and best ingredient besides the love she put in all her dishes. What a blessing you are to the world. Love your dishes!!!

When I was young, our old neighbor across the street made real southern peach cobbler and she would make extra and give it to my family. It was so good! It's been 50 years and we still talk and marvel about that peach cobbler. I think that your peach cobbler looks pretty close and I can't wait to try it. Thanks for the entertaining instruction!

My grandmother was from Tennessee and so was both of her parents. Some of her great grandparents were from Virginia and North Carolina. All her recipes were in her head. She was a wonderful cook of southern dishes. One of my favorites was her peach cobbler. It was so delicious. I have looked for a peach cobbler recipe that was similar to how she made it. All I found was cobbler with big blobs of biscuit like dough on top of the peaches. That wasn’t what hers was like. It had pie crust lattice on top and I thought some pie crust dough on the bottom, too. Your recipe came up out of the blue in recommendations. Thank you for posting I think her recipe was similar to what you do. So glad that I found your UA-cam vlog on peach cobbler 🙏

This lady actually made a cobbler, I've seen a lot of recipes. A cobbler has dumplings and no bottom crust, just a lattice top. If It has a top and bottom crust it is a pie no matter how deep the pan. If it has a bottom crust only it is a galette. Thanks for knowing your subject. A hint from me, I put a little juice from a lemon in all my fruit pies to keep the colors from darkening. Either way, keep up the good work

As the oldest daughter I learned from my mom @ an early age but mama never wrote them down & I wanna teach my granddaughter how her grandmother & me cook. My mother in law taught me a similar recipe using the same rolled crust. The difference is she thins out the crust with a rolling pin and uses flour so it won't stick. Like the video, she adds pieces of the crust to the peaches but she allows the crust/peaches to cook longer so the flour will help thicken the syrup...no cornstarch needed. She cuts her top crust in strips like the video and she doesn't use a bottom crust.

OMG! I have been using the rolled crust for years and never thought about cutting my strips for dumplings and lattice work on top while the dough is still rolled up! WOW! I rolled out that crust and cut my strips! Smh! Also, I cook my dumplings in my peaches on the top of stove. You have saved me some time, thank you!

Great tutorial! I cook by habit and by eye, too. It helps to see the consistency and what it looks like at all stages of the process. I can’t wait to make this with my grands! Thx 😋
