Phat fx has a few different saturation modules built into it. Take a look, you can have 3 different models that have swappable modes. It's using the camel phat engine so it's decent quality.
I use Phat Fx as a clipper. It also has Tube, Dirt, diode, exciter and other saturation/distortion modes. The Phat Fx bass enhancer is also actually pretty good. It has to be used sparingly, but it fattens the low end in a pleasing way. I liked the Youlean loundess meter enough that I got that one (as a free version), also. Logic's Multimeter is good but not as accurate. I do use the goniometer on it. The Logic gate is OK, but I have found the BSA Silencer is the best gate I have ever used. It reduces cymbal bleed better than anything else I've seen. Simple and effective. Not free but good enough I didn't care.
Great video idea, and great channel. 2 more gaps in Logic, and free ways to plug them: - Enveloper doesn’t really cut it. The free Kilohearts transient shaper (part of their free essentials) does. - Dynamic noise. Sometimes you need to add some for that old analog gear feeling. Melda MNoiseGenerator (part of their free bundle) to the rescue! Hope this helps
My usual tools: Dynamic EQ: TDR Nova, obviously Channel strip: UAD SSL 4000E (free if you have an UAD interface) Tape saturation: CHOW Tapemodel, a must-have Finalizing limiter: The Logic's adaptive limiter. But I'll have a look in the LimitedZ
The artist is Alice Kat, you can check her out on Spotify. The track I used here “Get High Feel Alive” has actually just been released a couple of days ago! Thanks for watching.

Yup! Came to say the same thing.
I love it. this, and the presets are crazy creative.
Was about to write this too, the 3rd party plugins mentioned are great but Phat FX is incredibly powerful!
Logic's Phat FX plug-in is one of the most underrated saturation plug in: it is massive

But you can do all of that with the stock plugins if you know how to use them.
Another dynamic eq is Tone Boosters Equalizer. the demo mode is totally usable. the piad version is $30. almost s good as pro-q 3
Nice! I’ll check it out.

Great choices 👍
I always struggle with denoising in Logic. They only have the legacy plugin as far as I am aware…?
I use Chow on my guitars to smooth them out. One of the plugins I want on my desert island. IVGI are great too.
Used it for years.
Love this 👌
Inter sample peaks?
Saturation in Logic Pro: Phat FX
Headline: “plugins you need”
Video: “there’s no plugins you need”
I use Phat fx in almost every beat
My votes go to OTT by Xfer Audio and CHOW Tape
I tried to install Limited-Z v2 and I'm getting a notice that it failed validation (this is in 10.8.1). Any advice?
great vid
so...where do I find the artist playing in the demos?!

Thanks 😊
ISP = intersample peaks.
I amended this with some crude subtitles 😀
Old strings..
