great idea to cover this. Very nicely executed presentation. I will be digging into this. I can't tell you how many times a lost my train of thought digging through those horribly organized menus.
Great stuff Sam. Just on the plugins that are no longer usable (trial stuff or just very old plugins) could you possibly do a tutorial on how to remove these completely so we don't ever see them again? Cheers.
Hi Sam, just discovered your channel. I’m pretty new to logic and on a steep learning curve! Your videos are really professional and helpful, thanks for all your efforts 👍
I’ve fooled myself into thinking that I use or will use every plugin that I have installed so this is a very helpful thing. I’m not sure if it’s a bug on my laptop or what though when I go to delete the default categories, the dynamics, imaging, utility and specialized folders don’t get deleted. The plugins can be removed and others can be added though the folders don’t go away, and I’ll be damned if it didn’t take months to find that deleting a file called MusicApps.tag pool will let me delete them. It’s in /Users/-/Music/Audio Music Apps/Databases/Tags/MusicApps.tagpool
Strange one. I know that if a folder is empty, it won’t appear in the list, so perhaps move everything from the folder you want to lose and see if it disappears. I can’t say I’ve tested it, but that would make sense.
You can also set up nested folders in Plugin Manager.

Great stuff again, thx a ton
You can also get Plug Search! Then you'll never have to mess around in the menus ever again as long as you know what you are looking for...
