    I’ve spent a lot of time in a virtuemoir-shipping haze, but after seeing this I’m just so happy to see two people so supportive of each other. I don’t care whether they’re in a romantic relationship or not, they’re partners in the most beautiful way, and that’s inspiring all on its own.
    I hope they continue skating together, and never stop being friends. ❤️❤️

      I agree, Sheri. The Moulin Rouge skate was the first program of theirs that I viewed, and I fell in love with their synchronicity, their passion and fluidity. Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are enchanting. The Moulin Rouge program is still my favorite, for the costumes, the romance, the way they touch, and their glowing faces. Take care.

    I can't imagine how it must have been for Tessa to go through such hardships. She actually struggled a bit more and learnt a bit more than scott there during her surgeries. She is a composed person, who has known to cope up with her life and hardships. But scott is more like easy going funny guy, he literally lightens the mood. But Tessa ain't that open as him, she tells what she is supposed to and what she wants other to know, nothing less and nothing more. Scott on the other hand is really open and kind of feels awkward in some moments for his openness. But overall as they said they r very different person, inspite of that they got to know each other deeply and become each other's rock and when your career is based on unity with another person, u gotta have good communication and friendship and that is inbuilt in them. And this video literally made me stop romanticising their relationship, it made me realize that they r enough being the best friends.

    • @Angie-pe9uq
      @Angie-pe9uq 4 місяці тому

      It's May 2024 and watching Scott post retirement/coaching videos, he still brings this time up of not being there for her and because they were extremely close before her surgeries, this time in their lives hurt them and their relationship. He also said pre- retirement that when Tessa came back after the first surgery it was like they didn't trust each other for awhile and had to work on building that back up. The fact that he still brings that up to this day must have really affected him and maybe he is more aware of any damage this may have caused them down the line in any type of romantic way. Hopefully, with all of the counseling they have had together, they were able to work through it. Maybe it's still there for Tessa on a subconscious level. Love can do amazing things and I know these two love each other and have a unique bond. I hope that no matter where they are in their lives today, that they let the other own know how much they are still loved and supported...

      When questions pop-up about their relationship, Tessa remains mostly silent and lets Scott field the question, saying it's complicated, it's business partnership, a product that just portrays romance. The latest, "it's none of your business", softening it by saying lets' see what happens. In reality, they have a marriage, but never want to label it as such. Scott has made out and dated other girls over the years and Tessa accepts this. However, she has drawn him back, with Olympic challenge, to win more gold and prove himself as indispensable again. This was definitely driven by Tessa. Scott states he was very supportive once they both dived in, but emphasized this is HER sport, as if his role was more management. Tessa is very smart and guiding this partnership relationship to her desires. Scott realizes nobody can measure up to Tessa and he would be lost without her.

    ...watching Sept 2019
    ☺️♥️two weeks ago when scrolling and looking on videos to watch and watch them the first time, I got hooked and found myself wanting to watch more and more videos of them that I see, and my... I just do not get tired watching their videos that come up which is countless. Theirs is just plain beautiful, and endearing. ... and how I fell in love watching them together and thought they are in love ... and how great it would be if they would marry...... something which I know millions of their fans around the world have wished to happen........ .... then there was a video with announcement by Scott saying he is engaged... That was so heartbreaking 😞😣😢 to hear... I felt sad.
    Their relationship is hard to understand... but love comes in many forms. .. I believe they love each other in form that only the two of them understand. ... Still, I hope and wish for the day when they find in their heart of hearts that they, after all, is for each other to love, to care, and to cherish and be together for life till end. When that happens, wowwww how great really and how happy we, their fans would be...
    No matter what, I love you Tessa, Scott.
    God bless.

      Maria: I just watched this video with T and S and I agree with you 100% I can't stop watching them and they seem or seemed so in love with each other their words about each other are so pure and sweet Scott has said "I did not find skating I found Tessa and "I can't imagine my life without working with Tessa" and another time he said" Tessa does not know it but she keeps me alive" and yet recently he got engaged to another woman which just broke my heart. I feel this is a big mistake I feel they are meant for each other they understand each other and need each other. They have been together for 22 years that is longer than some marriages they have had marriage counseling, they have worked with psychologists to learn how to get along and work or their relationship every they need to get married and yet he has caused their separation and they have gone separate ways. It seems like they are not even close friends anymore. When S got engaged he ended their partnership. Tessa is going back to University in the Fall to study business and get an MBA degree so why has this happened? Why can't they keep together and work it out that they can marry and find a way to maybe coach together because Scott wants to invest in future Olympians and I really thought that Tessa would want to coach and work with future Olympians.I thought they loved each other so much that they would do whatever it takes to end it together. So sad: Your thoughts.

    This talk expresses so many messages. The commitment to pursuing our dreams and how a relationship and relationships represent an opportunity to advance our own understanding; Not on what we achieve but how we achieve it together. Listening to this talk the most important message I understood is how we can be committed to working together more than the individual control we have to manage in our own individual pursuit. This relates to a message to all of us as that we get better at a relationship and not its outcome. The focus can be on the journey of a relationship and not the goal for us individually or collectively. The rest of their success occurred while they were continually committed to our relation and not the outcome. Release control and find the magic!

    I was not aware of these two beautiful people until we were forced into lockdown in 2020. I missed going to see the performing art that had brought me joy in my retired life. I went on youtube to find Torvil and Dean. I remembered loving the world that they took us into. It was then that I discovered Scott and Tessa on the ice. I found a new appreciation for the art of ice dancing. With a twenty year career, there are many performance that I can still enjoy. I was truly taken into each story they were telling on the ice. After watching their interviews, I realized these are people I would enjoy knowing more about. I have since purchased their book. It is fascinating to read their story. Thank you Canada for sharing two of your shinning stars with the rest of the world.

When i'm watching it, i can't but feel goosebumps. Apparently, i can't watch it, I'd better listen to it because, honestly, Scott's fidgeting is making me nervous. Public speaking is a different from performing kind of rush. They are actually pretty good at it when they do interviews off hand and they feel at ease. But when you are expected to be prepared, you feel anxious. I wonder how long they have worked on the speech. I tend to think Tessa did the major part. What do you think?

    I've been sifting through the plethora of Tessa and Scott material on the Internet and, in my search, I've encountered a few things that were troubling to me. While watching old videos of them together, I stumbled on fan theories and speculation that Tessa was pregnant at one point or that Tessa had a nose job. These two things bothered me for hours and hours. I couldn't find closure. I couldn't find a solution. Finally, I clicked on this video out of desperation and I was reminded that none of it--whether true or not (most likely not)--mattered. They are such a beautiful couple--dating or not--and they have given the world so much joy from watching them perform and just exist. It's been an honor to watch them, and I hope they continue to skate (competitively or non-competitively) and stay together somehow in the future.

Maybe that's why they were reluctant to define their relationship as anything more than a SUPER CLOSE HIGHLY INTIMATE "WE'RE JUST FRIENDS" kinda thing; most marriages wouldn't be able to survive that kind of pressure!

    Dear Tessa, You did not have to skate, only to look at the camera to reveal the awesome, feminine, sweet allure. You cast a spell. Millions of men want to be looked at by their lovers, wives, the way you did, with one intense, unmistakable focus, thanking your partner with it in slow motion, seconds after the lift, for a perfect performance, at the same time reassure him that all would be all right.
    I am afraid, they might change some rules after your performance. I hope not. K. Margaret's husband.

    I know it's fashionable to tell people they can be whatever they want, but really, you can't. Many people aren't smart enough to be engineers or doctors. Even more won't become professional athletes. No matter how hard you study or train, it simply won't happen. Perhaps the real message should be try, fail and learn from that failure.

    • @Jaydeekatt
      @Jaydeekatt 6 років тому +69

      True, but if people aren't told that they can succeed, most won't bother trying at all. You can actually be whatever you want because as you try, fail and start to assess your skills, what you "want" will start to match what you know you are good at and you'll play to your strengths.

    • @gnoam7050
      @gnoam7050 6 років тому +10

      I agree with you and I believe we should let people fail so they may succeed later (James Dyson is an example). This, as you wrote, will play to their strengths and push them to see where to make changes and thus, hopefully, succeed.

    • @anisasobhani1533
      @anisasobhani1533 6 років тому +6

      there is definitely truth to your "try, fail, learn" point, but I think you're absolutism that many people simply cannot be something no matter what is unrealistic. Given the resources and a mixture of hard work and opportunity, when someone sets their mind to something and puts in a ton of work, so much is possible.

    • @gnoam7050
      @gnoam7050 6 років тому +1

      I simply don't agree. I respect your point but I see people wanting to be doctors or lawyers who simply don't have the ability. I know accountants who couldn't do well enough in the LSAT. Sometimes the horse is dead.

Love their on ice chemistry. You can tell they really care and respect each other, which is so important in any partnership.
