you deserve so much more subscribers!Still I remember when you had like 4000 subs,I found you then and you were the best reviewer of gaming stuff.Nice to find you still are,I bought the rival 300 before a year and a half and still it's in a good shape.I'm saying this, because you were the guy that helped me choose and I learned a lot of stuff from you so it's nice to see that at least you're getting much more support than before.I hope you can get even more popular!Keep up the good work!
0:50 It's because of the acoustic wave physics that arise from using a single ~2" driver inside an enclosure. Low frequencies are spread evenly in all directions like a bare light bulb would spread light, while increasingly higher frequencies will form an increasingly narrow "beam" of acoustic energy just like a flashlight focuses light. Therefore, the ideal listening position is with each speaker pointed directly towards its respective ear. However, as you pointed out in the video, they neither can angle upwards nor have any kind of stand to bring them to ear height. The main advantage to these speakers is (1) their small size, and (2) their attractive design. I can tell you that just from looking at them (speaker design is my hobby).
Haha yea. Too bad they don't sell the pro version here in Finland so I had to get the normal ones. Still like em. Great for watching movies and listening to some dank music
Don't hate on the "oh it's razer it must suck" brigade. I'm one of them and I'll save you the gory details but it's for very good reason. Razer have earned their bad rep I'm afraid.
They appear to have a policy of low build quality or perhaps even planned obsolescence, so their stuff tends to seem real cool at first and then break down leaving you out of pocket for new stuff (or at least, out of gear while you wait for warranty replacement and then have to do that a few times over). That's why people get all bitter about it, because you get built up and then let down :( And like you've said there really is a 'brigade', it's more than just what always happens with any company where there are fans and haters... it's not something that just happened overnight, they slowly built up a bad rep over the years as people tried to help others avoid the traps they fell into. If I worked for razer, I'd be taking an 'honesty is the best policy' approach, openly admitting to their quality issues and making a demonstrated commitment to changing it. I think that's the only way they can regain the trust of the userbase.
These speakers looks cool...I hope it sound good as it looks because I can buy a pair of these at a very good price at a pawn Shop in my City. If it have some bass and loud volume I will buy it these days!
To everyone that says these suck: go watch other reviews such as randomfrankp, Dave Lee, and HardwareCanucks. They were surprised by how good these sound. I have had them for about 2 weeks and they honestly sound great.
The nommo 2.0 might be a good value. But the razer nommo 2.1 costs 500$ and in that price range you are competing with studio monitors. I think something like yamaha hs 5/7/8 or audio engine a5 is a better option.
Before i found out you were Australian i had imagined you were an Asian guy lol. I guess it was the way you said certain things that painted that image. I use speakers and headphones but a good pair of speakers positioned correctly can give very good imaging. Sometimes headphones make me feel nauseous since they isolate the ears the left ear isnt hearing from the right, the right ear isnt hearing from the left which isnt how we naturally hear .though using an amp/preamp that uses 3d holographic sound or crossfeed can help.
Do us all a favour and release that music, it's too good to stay unreleased. In another note, I liked the video but "gaming" speakers aren't my thing, speakers are for music/movies and headsets are a must for gaming.
Idk if its youtube compression but they sound a bit empty inside. Better off with some Harman Kardon sound sticks if you want some computer speakers with a bit more audio quality rather than gamer.
This might be out of context but,do u plan on releasing the music that u make? (Like the one u used for testing) they are soo good that i got goosebumps 0.0
Just get a R1280T or something all the way up to S2000 Pro from Edifier. Unless you are like the reviewer, who uses headphones and only wants something compact and stylish to give a rest to your ear lobes.
do you feel compelled to review these products to have good ties with Razer for future products? I'm genuinely curious. I stopped doing reviews after I started getting compelled to do them for products I didn't care about, I just hope you don't fall into this trap unless you're want to broaden your scope.
They're tiny, like it's decent considering, but you're not going to get anything that feels like an actual sub from these. I use these in my room these days, it's like having a really good portable speaker type sound when I'm working out / cleaning, so it's fun to listen to without bothering the neighbours.
No offence to Razer but you can get much better PC speakers for the price. I've used the Logitech Z623 and the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1s. The Logitech's were arse so I returned them for the Pro Media 2.1s. I've had my Pro Media 2.1s for 5 years and couldn'tbe happier with them. They can be had for 80-100$ on sale and 150$ when not on sale.
Are you going to make a top 20 mice 2018? or might be able to recommend a mouse for a person with a 19,8cm by 10.. cm hand. I was trying to choose between the ec1-a and ec1-b and was about to choose to ec1-b but then i saw you had written in the description that there were some problems with the mouse
'gaming' speakers lol, but yeah they sound pretty bad. Get some M-Audio AV42s instead, they're even cheaper. And you *can get get foam pads to stop the bass travelling through your desk.
This, I can't trust RNJ because he actually has to talk them up, otherwise no one will send him anything, if you want something decent, order these www.mwave.com.au/product/creative-gigaworks-t40-series-ii-20-multimedia-speakers-ab91584
I know this is completely unrelated to the video. I've been having a hard time choosing between the rival 310 and g403, coming from a deathadder chroma (I do find that shape comfortable). Hands are 20/10 cm. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I'm one of those people that actually likes the idea of having all my products from one company... plus it looks cool on video. 150$ isn't cheap and they seem to sound kinda bad (never heard them in person and youtube demos are not a proper way to listen to speakers, but these are razer and "gaming" and this rarely means "good").. 90$ would get you and edifier r1280t 2.0 system, or you could get a r1280db version if you dislike the 70s aesthetic for 120$ (and its bluetooth). just a single example of a properly designed 2.0 system for cheap, there are much more if you do research.
I've noticed the more you widen your reviews outside mouse reviews, the less detailed they are. One thing I love about your mouse reviews is that you compare them to other mouse. This on the other hand sounds just like a paid Ad tbh.
You sure you listened to it? I even said this was the first gaming speaker set I'm reviewing (other than the sound bar). Kind of unfair to compare them when I have over 100 mice. Have to start somewhere. Why so judgmental?
+Rocket Jump Ninja There are some non-mouse reviews that i like just like your camera reviews since you compared their video quality. The only reason why these speakers sound decent to you is because they are your 1st and have nothing to compare them to, sound quality wise, or we're just brought in for free publicity.
+Rocket Jump Ninja Then why not wait for another set or a group of speakers to see how they stack to each other on sound quality? It makes it seem hastily reviewed when it's the only speaker you have.
Because I have timelines for reviews and I can't just leave products for months, and I'm not even sure how many speakers I will do yet, maybe one more and that's it. Who knows. Just trying some new things for interest's sake. Also even 3 or 4 speaker sets isn't going to compete with 100 mice. This review would still be as it is. And these are not my first. @ Marxone But you have the Razer logo on them. That's alone is worth 100$. XD But seriously. There are better and cheaper speakers. Razer is just overpriced.
I'm not in the market for speakers, but Zys reviews are too good to miss
I watch RJN videos even when I have no interest in the product. That's how you know he makes quality reviews.
Same. I'm literally commenting just to help his youtube engagement scoring lol.

Nice! Someone who actually has them and left a comment, and it's positive. Great change from the "Oh it's Razer it must suck" brigade. :D

Don't hate on the "oh it's razer it must suck" brigade. I'm one of them and I'll save you the gory details but it's for very good reason. Razer have earned their bad rep I'm afraid.
Like all companies have. What's different about Razer?
They appear to have a policy of low build quality or perhaps even planned obsolescence, so their stuff tends to seem real cool at first and then break down leaving you out of pocket for new stuff (or at least, out of gear while you wait for warranty replacement and then have to do that a few times over).

Can I mention that Respect is probably my favorite track from you? But all of your songs are great, they're quite relaxing for when I work :D
Love your videos RJN
Bought these based on this review. Haven’t had PC speakers in a decade LOL. Kids needed to hear my gaming.....
I am on a Razer kick. I got these for my Razer 15 Advanced. The laptop just didn't have enough oomph! These sound great and I am very, very pleased.
Yeah they're great for simplicity, I use them for a piano now, actually perfect for what I wanted
wowmusic is epic
Best reviewer out there! ❤
The love is appreciated!

These are not the same version this cost like 30 bucks
@@james_7876 wtf are you talking about
Still have them and still sound great

RuleNr1: Never buy headsets/speakers from "gaming brand" if you care about audio quality at all.
PsychoDuckTV Fact
What are your favourite speaker?
Zy you should make a album with your music, its something i would bump to when slaying things. amirite guys?
The best way to aim wide-range speakers is to make sure the beams cross IN FRONT of you, so that both your ears get some treble.
the world hasnt had an innovation in a while... we need an innovation
Please Review The G560 Speakers From Logitech So We Can Hear Ur Opinios And Thoughts About The Two Thx And Keep Up The Goodwork!
They look better than those speakers Austin Evans had for awhile
A pair of bookshelf speakers next to your monitor will take care of any non-headphone audio needs. No need for a separate sub.
I love how you speak rubber... RUBBA, SMOOTH RUBBA.
Hmm I thought I corrected my "er" from "ah" Australian accent. I know it still shows sometimes but for "rubber" it should be ok these days.
Don't worry about that. Its amazing.
"corrected" your aussie accent? For shame!!
Well yeah, how does pronouncing "er" as "ah" make sense? Needs a correction! I like to think I'm logical. :D
Before i found out you were Australian i had imagined you were an Asian guy lol. I guess it was the way you said certain things that painted that image. It apparently costs $200 something.
Just get an Edifier 1280db.
the real question is can i please have the song, just for personal use, the zyism song, if not thats fine, big fan of the content!!
hey RJN is it possible to do a review video about the hyperglide with ur FK2?
Do us all a favour and release that music, it's too good to stay unreleased. In another note, I liked the video but "gaming" speakers aren't my thing, speakers are for music/movies and headsets are a must for gaming.
Idk if its youtube compression but they sound a bit empty inside. Better off with some Harman Kardon sound sticks if you want some computer speakers with a bit more audio quality rather than gamer.
It's recorded through a mic... you shouldn't be judging sound quality by that. It was to give an idea of sound stage from angling them.
They did sound louder when you directed it towards the camera. The playback from the microphone sure gave it that phone speaker effect with more bass
This might be out of context but,do u plan on releasing the music that u make? (Like the one u used for testing) they are soo good that i got goosebumps 0.0
They sound just like my cellphone speakers :P
They probably don’t
Cheap alternative 149$ and in my country 109€ x'D Atleast you tried.
I would prefer some proper shelf speakers with a good sound card, but hey, it's just my opinion ;)
Just get a R1280T or something all the way up to S2000 Pro from Edifier. Unless you are like the reviewer, who uses headphones and only wants something compact and stylish to give a rest to your ear lobes.
For me speakers are main and if i play something competitive i use a headset
I like them but they would be so much better with adjustable stands
you should do a test on the beyerdynamic dt 990. The only headphones you will ever need. Headsets are just such a waste.
You should try ask sennheiser for a review sample of their new gsp line of gaming headsets they look to be high quality

Idk what keyboard to get someone help. I’m mainly looking for ten keyless keyboard.
LOGITECH G PRO OR RAZER BLACKWIDOW V2 ????
not full sized blackwidow for sure , buy t.e. instead.
Are you going to try different soundcards, too?
i use my headset as the speaker
Thank god I found this comment before purchasing speakers. I never thought of this lol
When you get the chance, could you review the Logitech G560s, and maybe do a comparison to these?
Yeah using them now, the bass is too high, had to EQ.
Can i connect this speaker only using a 3.5mm jack without a usb 3.0 cable
ive got a ps4 connecvted to a monitor, can the speakers still work?
Probably yes. If your monitor has a headphone output.
Where can we find your music? I’d be interesting in listening
quick check to anyone who owns this now or before, how is the base like?

Hey Zy will you ever review the new razer abyssus essential?
Not sure hey... apparently not coming to Australia, have to source it from elsewhere.
I think I saw it on amazon and on the razer store. But aside from that I don't know where I've seen it other then those two places.
But it would be nice to see how you think it stacks up compared to the v2.

Logitech g560?
Just opening the box now.
Rocket Jump Ninja Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply as well.
Michael is right, that bass is way too high. Had to EQ it in software straight away. Drowns out everything.
Logitech had those old X-530 , 5.1 setup with garbage woofer, but the satellites were great at that price range. Lasted me for about 10 years.
Good to know.
You making a new top 40 mice video?
Yeah
Really hope that you release Respect to soundcloud. actually quite nice song.
G403 wireless vs g703 wireless? Coming fromm rival 300
What do you think of Logitech g602?
My I ask what is the name of the song your playing in the video?
tbh. for 100 dollars or more theres waaaaaaay better options in market. razer is apple for gamers
What do you think about the durability of razer mice?
Depends on which. I've had DeathAdders that last years.
Rocket Jump Ninja every deathadder i have owned lasted about 6 months to a year after which my middle click died or left click got glitchy
Yeah get some bad ones too. I've had about 7 of them, all good except I think one of the really old ones stopped tracking.
Rocket Jump Ninja maybe its my luck
Bad batches are a thing too, so if you kept replacing them from the one store that didn't sell out of that batch, then the chances of getting another faulty one are higher.
