KungPow's Chosen One really I thought basketball was built on the premise of who could put the ball in the hoop. Boxing, football, & mma are sports that are built on physicality. The fact the game isn’t about someone getting hammered in the lane all the time and hard fouls has made the game more fluid and better to me.
Even when fouled into the ground, MJ still lingers enough before falling, still able to shift his position and makes decisions.

Pat riley told him to foul him hard if he came to the middle. And Anthony wanted to impress the coach by listening. The knicks had the no driving down the middle rule back then. Sure maybe pat didn't tell him to get the flagrant but it's not like he was punishing him for it either.

Its hard to define but there was just an intensity and seriousness around the game back then. I still watch today and enjoy it.. but it still feels like its not the "big boy" game it was in the 90s.
