Did this on the weekend fitted tjm xgs I might have watched the 120 PRADO video but followed the same procedure. SO GLAD I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO. I normally would unbolt lower arms and or upper arms to help get them out. This saves so much time.
Can't recommend TGM XGS shocks. On 90 series Prado both rears failed at 50,000km had "pleasure" of driving the Simpson Desert with no shocks..My load was like the "McCain's vege add". Replaced with Old Man Emu's at Birdsville no more problems
You did it the long way. I work in suspension and have done these more times i can count. Undo the 2 19mm bolts on the lower ball joint loosen the inner control arm bushes. Undo the 19mm on the shock mount then the 3 14mm on the top mount and lower the strut out the bottom. Using the ready struts i have down the front pair in around 20 minutes. Give it a try providing the lower inner bolts are not seized. The vehicle will need to be aligned anyway so do it that way.
I done my struts a few years ago I removed the 2 19 mm bolts on ball joint the way he done it looks easier then undoing ball joints and loosening control arm bolts
As I I say it depends how you look at it if you’ve got someone that can do a wheel alignment then that might be a good way to do it but with a lack of skilled workers it’s very difficult to get a decent wheel alignment which can lead to many other problems doing it the quick easy way could cause problems for people if you’re doing the wheel alignment and you know what you’re doing then that’s okay but until we know people that can do a proper wheel alignment best not to upset the wheel alignment un necessarily we don’t mind doing a little bit more work to make sure the wheel alignment stays good We also have videos showing that way in particular when changing the lower control arms
Once thing Anthony did not tell you likely for good reason, is if your steering rack ends don't loosen even after several minuet's of bashing and using WD40 like mine ones apply a 10 seconds of heat to the same area you were bashing and they come loose straight away - but extreme caution using blow torch as you can quickly damage your rubber bushes ect, don't use heat unless you can control it precisely.
Hey please help me I want to put better quality suspension on my 2019 Ranger Bi turbo minimum lift and keeping it comfortable, I’ve watched every video on UA-cam and checked out all the reviews and I don’t want to get it wrong could point me in the right direction please cheers Mark

"I don't want to make it like I make things look easy... But I do make things look easy" hahah love your work.

Yeah I can't get my 2 19mm lower ball joint bolts out... Any tips?

Exactly - no need to mess with that steering end ball-joint.

Thanks Anthony.
Hi Anthony, Nice video.
Would you recommend the use of strut spacers with tough dog struts or shocks. I want to raise my hilux even more.
I constantly see other youtube folk mess with the kdss valve. Is that necessary for this type of application and or oem removal and replacement ?
Awesome Anthony thanks for the tips
Very similar to a Holden Colorado, sway bar and stabiliser bar links
Thank you worked for me
