Thanks for the great video. I will have to come back and learn more from it. My problem right now is this. I have an ad that after a few weeks has some headlines marked as "good" and some as "learning". I plan to replace most of the "learning" ones with new headlines. Is that the right approach?
Really thanks for your perfect explain. Regarding rotation settings Do you suggest to Rotate ads and check manually the best CTR and pause the other Or leave it to Google "recommend option" Thanks
Hi Mohamed, thank you for watching my video. I recommend setting it to rotate evenly, then check the CTR manually. If you find there is little to no difference in CTR, then I would set it back to the "Google recommended option." In this case, you might as well let Google decide. I hope this helps!
Loved how you explain it! Thanks! Instant subscriber :) Looking for a way to evaluate which individual texts (titles and description lines) work how well in responsive ads.
Hi Austin! With this video you have not only saved my day and week, but possibly the entire year heading towards X-mas. Huuuuge thank you! Can't wait trying and testing everything you have showed! Greetings from Hungary!
Hi Róbert, Glad I could help! I hope this saves you a lot of time and energy but also keeps your ad performance as high as possible! Good luck selling this X-mas season - I'm sure you'll do great!
Thanks Austin! What is the best strategy to further test the ad copy against winning ads? Let's say we find that 2 out of 3 ads are performing well but the third one needs to be paused and replaced with a new ad. How would you do this? Would you replace all of the ad copy in ad 3 with brand new ad copy throughout every headline and description? Would you replace just some of the ad copy? Would you replace position 1 ad copy only etc? Thanks!
Hi Nejable, thank you for watching our videos. In the scenario you describe, the first 2 ads are good and the third ad is bad. So I would keep the first 2 good ads unchanged. As for the third bad ad, I would re-write only the headlines and descriptions that you're not personally happy with in it. In this third ad, you could certainly borrow the best performing headlines from the first 2 ads. But for all other ad copy in this third ad, you should make it completely different from the first 2 ads. That way you'll know the difference in performance between the first 2 ads and the third ad is due to the completely different ad copy, and not due to random chance.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching Toanh. We will keep posting more content here so please check back next time you're looking for PPC information. Best!
Thanks it's such a great explanation. I followed your steps but I've problem with Google ads. I did everything possible and added suggested popular keywords but still I get Poor ad result and a flag to "Include popular keywords in your headlines". I followed your method and my product page is like yours. I got some benefits from the landing page and some features and added them as headlines and also some popular keywords like Free Shipping & Free Return. Etc. Do you know please what's the problem? I'm tired of this. Thanks in advance.
Hi Basho, and thank you for watching. Sure thing, so if you keep getting a "poor" score, you might have any of the following problems: - only 1 headline is pinned to pin # 1, 2 or 3. (use pin #1 or 2 or 3 on multiple headlines at the same time) - you wrote ad headlines that are different from the keywords in the ad group. (try adding your relevant headlines as keywords, not "free shipping" as a keyword, but headlines that describe what you're selling, like "red shoes"). Basically, make sure that the ad group has keywords that you're using in the ad headlines and visa-versa. If you added new keywords today, you might need to wait till tomorrow before the poor-good-excellent score reacts to your new keywords. Does that help?
@@ppcforeveryone Hello again, Austin, and many thanks for your prompt response, it's much appreciated. I understand you well but I'm targeting long-tail keywords and they have more than 30 characters. So how to add those keywords as headlines? Here's my problem. Would you please advise?
Hello! That's a great question. You often will not get the highest score if you use any pinning at all. However, you can get a "Good" score if you pin about 5 headlines to one position. The reason is this: if you pin 5 different headline options to position 1, Google can swap in any one of those 5 headlines. This means you're giving Google 5 options for that headline 1 spot. That is a good amount of options for Google apparently, therefore they allow you to get an above Average score. However, if you only pin 1 headline option to a single headline position, you will almost always get a below Average score. In that case, you should simply pin more options to that headline position. Does this answer your question? Thank you for watching!
Hey Austin Thanks for the Google Sheet but there are some errors. Ad Template 1 spits out the Copy and Paste info correctly, but 2 and 3 have a lot of errors. It seems like its spitting out Ad Template 1 headlines for 2 and 3 in the copy and paste section.
*Thanks for sharing these optimization tips!*
One of THE BEST videos about optimize campaigns and save time! Thank you so much 🤩
thank you so much for saying so!

Awesome, thank you Sam! I appreciate it. I think this is the easiest way to organize ad copy testing lately in Google Ads.

Hi Austin, how are you able to freeze three headlines and still get high optimisation scores

Uh oh, I must have made an update that threw off cell references. I will fix and reply here
Updated now, please try the new one. There is no longer a 3rd ad copy template, but the first 2 are working correctly now.
