my sony a6100 and 6400 also does not have tracking object in video when you press half shutter. however , sony has touch tracking which is tap on screen and it tracking object very well..
Thanks for the review! With the mode dials, flippy screen, microphone jack placement, etc., it definitely shouts more of a video focused camera. I'm glad Fuji made this camera for people like me who are mainly used to the PASM dials. Since I will be using this camera more for video and the occasional stills, I'd say this camera is a steal for having %80-%90 of the XT4 performance for %60 of the price.
Have to disagree on the haptics, but thats probably a very personal thing. I always disliked the X-T30 feeling and buttons. Had a X-T3 for almost 2 years now and just got an X-S10 to maybe replace or complement it. I prefer the back dial to the X-T3 one (although I miss the pressing in a little) and while it generally feels like a lower camera compared to X-T3, it's much better than I remember the X-T30. Never really got into the manual controls on the camera, much prefer auto ISO with minimum shutter speed. So for me the X-S10 is probably even better than the X-T3, just wish it had X-T3 EVF, WR and screen.
Thanks, this is a helpful review. As a still photography user, I was considering the XS10 for the IBIS with the non stabilized prime lenses and 16-55 f2.8. But i'll stick with my X-t20 for the time being. I'm guessing (hoping?) that Fuji will start adding that IBIS to new models they release in the future. (As i don't want to have to spring for the X-T4).
Honestly, I rarely see the point for IBIS in photography. If you shoot landscape you often use a tripod. If you shoot people you need to have a high shutter-speed anyway. Still, I couldn't resist and bought a used X-t4 and I am surprised how much bulkier it is compared to the X-T30. But it is a really nice camera and feels more professional than the x-t30. I hope Fuji keeps the double digit x-t line alive.
@@jeffmerheb3182 For landscape one often chooses to reduce the apature to f8-f11. Whereever ur lens is the sharpest. Ideal conditions for landscape are mornings and evenings. It may or may not be bright enough for high shutter speed. Landscape people are crazy about sharpness. Often they put up a tripod and then use the 2s shutter delay to prevent the button press vibration to interfere with the photo.
I had about a week before I send it back. I went on two Foto tours. I am sure i would get more familiar with the controls but the dials would always bother me.
Go for the A6400 because it has film simulations too such as Slogs and Hlogs, and they are many third party lens manufacturers available. I use an 6400, it has the best Auto-focus in the market, it never misses.
Im planning to opt a camera purely for photography purpose (95% of times, ill be shooting handheld) Shall i stick to xt-30ii or spend 100$ more for XS-10 which offers ibis (P. S. i dont have any issue with XT-30's agronomics 😅)
I just prefer my x-t30 for photo. But its a technically great camera. I was looking forward to the ibis and classic neg for months and was quite disappointed that the basics so taking photos is just not as enjoyable.
Hey man, what is that crazy looking jittering when you walk over the bridge? Like, the bridge posts look like they are teleporting back and forth at 1000 miles an hour. A lot of the color looks very blotchy too. Was this straight out of camera or were things done in post that affected the quality?
Surprised you mention the X-T30 as having better dials. The command dials on my X-T20 are not very nice to use (if you turn them quickly, you have no idea how many steps will actually update in the UI-once it even went in the wrong direction). I guess they improved them in the X-T30!
Good video I used to have xt30 but I trade it with xt3 and xt3 much better fantastic camera 📷.but don't have flash .. is it xs 10 better flash than xt30 or the same I didn't like xt30 flash .. now iam thinking 🤔 to buy xs10 as well. Thanks

I was about to buy an X-S10 to “upgrade” my XT2 then I found a mint X-Pro 3 for $1299. No regerts so far. Enjoying the X Pro
The x-Pro looks awesome. Can't go wrong with that if your into photography. I am trying to get an X-T4 used.

Yeah definitely go for it.

Also thanks for the positive feedback. I am surprised by how many dislikes this got.
@@kn0rkk I don't understand why you need a tripod to take daylight landscape photos when you can easily get 1/250, 1/500 and faster shutter speed?

Hey, how long did you have a chance to use the camera before sharing your thoughts?
I had about a week before I send it back. I went on two Foto tours. I am sure i would get more familiar with the controls but the dials would always bother me.
Fujifilm xs10 or a6400?
I would go for XS-10 because of the ibis and film simulations.
@@kn0rkk thanks for the respond🙏👍

Honestly I would stick with the xt-30. I am still using it and except for video autofocus it has served me very well.
For me ibis is not worth it for most photos since I photograph people. As such shutter speed needs to be above 1/60 better above 1/120
@@kn0rkk thank you😊
When the title said “I returned my new XS10” I thought you meant that you hated it 😂

It's called clickbait :)
@@veeaa I thought I would give it a try ^^ Might have backfired
@@kn0rkk You get a pass once in a while ;) I almost have the X-S10 in the shopping cart. Thanks for the good video!
@@veeaa Thanks for your comments :) Hope you enjoy it. I am happy with my X-T30 for now. I can really recommend the viltrox 23mm 1.4 btw ;)

Straight out of camera. Ibis on. +2 shadows +2 hightlights with classic neg. No digital stabilizer just ibis warp
Actually it could also be OIS wobble from the 18-55. Should have tested that I suppose.

No, they still sometimes go in the wrong direction on my X-T30
What settings did you use for video (video settings and bitrate)?
Classic Negative, 4K 100Mbit, Ibis and Ois of the 18-55
His video encoding is borked. Nobody else's sample videos don't have such horrible macro blocking.
The IBIS is good enough. As for the rest, well, yeah, X-T4 is probably the way to go.

I never use on camera flash. But I think it is the same as in the x-t30.
Great review, I think I'll stick with Canon.
Thanks :) I am super happy with my fuji cameras. If u get the chance to try out a x100 definitely give a shot.
Dude , it’s a basic camera. What do you expect ?
It’s for people about to start using Fujifilm.
I was hoping for Reasonable Video AF
